Reviewed Jan 19, 2026The cottage is charming, with all the basic amenities. The location feels like it is far off the beaten path but it is a short drive to sites and restaurants. The host was responsive and gracious. And my daughters wanted to adopt the sweet kitten that kept wandering through the yard.
Maybe the directions could mention that the yellow gate is on the left and the driveway is on the right. We drove past the house up the driveway looking for a yellow gate (and it was late, so we felt badly about waking up the dogs - sorry!).

Logement très confortable, bien chauffé et bien équipé (box internet non indiquée sur booking) Kate's est très attentive au confort de ses hôtes et tres discrète aussi.. Le logement est très propre et décoré avec goût. Je le recommande le rapport qualité prix est top! Nous avons fait de belles balades à pied autour du logement.
Un tt petit point négatif les plaques chauffantes pas faciles à utiliser.

The location was a little further away than we thought but if are looking for a stress free getaway in a very scenic area, this is the place for you!

Reviewed Jul 24, 2025De ligging van de cottage is prachtig. Het ligt midden in de natuur. Er is geen geluid 's nachts, iets wat heel zeldzaam is. Toch zijn er in de buurt voldoende mogelijkheden om te winkelen of te dineren (10 min rijden). De cottage was basic, maar dat vormde voor ons geen probleem. Er is heel veel potentieel en enkele kleine acties zouden de cottage echt een topverblijf kunnen maken.
De keuken is zeer pover ingericht. Je kan er niet koken. Er zijn veel katten in de buurt van het huis, ze zijn heel lief, maar toch is hun aanwezigheid op de duur storend. Ik hou van katten, vooral als ze buiten blijven. 🙂

Reviewed May 3, 2025Loved the rural setting. If anyone is looking for an Irish remote quiet cottage with wildlife around ,this is your place. Staff are lovely. Heating and shower excellent. All in all really lovely. Fiona is always available to help if needed.
Maybe a few curtains in the living/dining room. Also a two seater couch could possibly be implemented into the kitchen as the chairs aren't the most comfortable. The odd rug here and there and it would be perfect. The stove hop top is a bit all or nothing on the temperature scale.

Beds were very uncomfortable. Nowhere comfortable to sit. Poor location, long way from shops, bars, restaurants and cafes. Limited cooking facility in kitchen. Cold bathroom. Problems with fitting plugs into sockets.

Reviewed Sep 16, 2024Amazing place, surroundings, owners. Comfy beds and bedding. Very clean. Could not recommend more.
I made some suggestions to the owners and their feedback was very positive. There is WiFi, but to the chagrin of my husband and son, no TV. It was fine with me but may be a disadvantage to others. It's a good opportunity to connect with nature though, and each other. Cooker and fridge need to be upgraded. Bar that it's fab.

Reviewed May 16, 2024Beautiful traditional cottage with two comfy bedrooms and a well equipped kitchen. Lovely garden to sit out on and enjoy the view. The location is lovely and isolated with a little farm next door. They had baby piglets which our son loved.
One thing that would have made it so much cosier is a small sofa to sit on. But we just all snuggled on the bed.
