Peu pratique à l'usage : pas d'eau dans la cuisine, pas d'eau chaude pour faire la vaisselle, installation sommaire pour la douche, pas d'endroit confortable et éclairé pour rester dehors le soir...

Reviewed Jul 6, 2026It is unique. Not for lazy people. I felt like being part of a family: The dogs came to get caressed in the evenings and the cats came to steal food, when I was not attentive.
Die Wegbeschreibung hatte eine Ungenauigkeit. @ Kate's Place leave the road to the right and a few meters behind Kate's Parking you see the Haycart on the left.

Reviewed Jun 21, 2026So peaceful and tranquil, surrounded by nature and all creatures great and small. Fiona the host was great and very helpful. The kitties are great fun and thr scenery is fabulous. Bring good hiking boots/shoes and enjoy the walks.
Absolutely not the fault of the property or owners but you may want to bring so.r ki d of insect repellent with you in the very good weather(which is rare in Ireland) to keep the midges at bay. But other than that it was absolutely brilliant. Best night sleep you could ever wish for.

Reviewed May 31, 2026Lovely location, very different but amazing for a peaceful night or two away. Our daughter fell in love with the farm cat and the nearby donkeys.
Unfortunately given the time of year and the forest location, the area was right in the middle of peak midge season so bring bug spray and citronella candles if you want to counter them. This is not fault of the property just a helpful tip depending on when you stay.

Reviewed Mar 26, 2026The hay cart is a unique and quirky accommodation, Fiona made me feel quite welcome and at home. Unfortunately my short stay was cut even shorter so I didn’t get to experience the full “Haycart experience ” which I would have loved to do. I can tell you the bed is soo comfortable it’s hard to leave. I would be happy to stay there again.

Being from the States it was a little nerve racking driving up with the narrow roads, but once there was extremely Ireland!
