Crystal Hotel - Shenzhen Nanshan Xinhaofang Branch vs Similar Hotels

Rooms are frequently described as spacious, large and comfortable ('Spacious room', 'Room is big and clean', 'A cama era bastante confortável'), supporting a very strong room-quality score.

Rooms described as comfortable and clean but somewhat outdated; some reports of finishing issues (peeling wallpaper, paint/joint defects).

Several reviewers explicitly note cleanliness and daily housekeeping (e.g., 'Чисто. Уборка каждый день.'), indicating excellent cleanliness.

Many guests report rooms are clean and smoke-free, but there are notable negatives (one report of an unclean room, mold around sink silicone, and occasional missed cleaning/maintenance).

Location is in a quieter, residential part of Nanshan preferred by some, but multiple reviewers note it is far from major business/food areas and the metro (around 40 min by car or 'a bit distant from metro').

Convenient: close to train/metro, ground-floor convenience store and nearby McDonald's; however surroundings are limited so taxis/metro often needed.

Service is generally described as friendly and helpful (allowed late check-out, staff described as 'incredibly kind'), although there are complaints about unresponsive messages on booking.com and mixed handling of the security deposit.

Service is generally professional, helpful and accommodating (manager assisted with Alipay); language limitations noted but staff try to help.

Breakfast and F&B receive mixed-to-positive comments: several say breakfasts are good or excellent, others call them basic or limited in variety ('very very basic breakfast', 'не очень varied', 'gostoso but limited options').

Breakfast repeatedly praised (wide variety, great buffet); limited on-site dining options noted by some guests.

Amenities are adequate but limited for a luxury property (no spa/pool mentioned, some issues like non-adjustable room temperature and limited lighting in rooms reported).

Good pool and gym reported (large pool, enjoyable), garden and pleasant breakfast room; negatives include pool closed 11:00-16:00, pool sometimes cold, and occasional laundry queue/repairs.

Mixed signals on value: some feel the stay was worth it, but several complaints about a charged security deposit, refund delays, and comments that similar hotels may be cheaper suggest slightly below-target value.

Multiple guests commented it was good value for the price and one of the better options for cost; laundry prices seen as expensive by some.
