Rooms were nice but 8k is too much for it.

The fact that the property doesnt even give water to guests.

No Kitchen. Staff (bald guy with attitude) Using laptop like riding a rocket, not allowing us to sit in common room. Getting hyper while he was drunk as hell. Very Bad experience.

Property is not maintained properly. The toilet walls, curtains were in really bad condition. There was no body wash or handwash provided. There was no ventilation in the washroom.

Beautiful view. The caretaker and staff were friendly.

Frequent power cuts. No electricity during the night. A power backup would be great (at least to charge the phones).

The bed. It was comfy as home.

This kasol’s hostel isn’t just bad… it’s an experience on how low human standards can go. Beds? More like torture devices wrapped in dirty bedsheets. And it should be curtains around the dormitory beds. Bathroom? where the taps cry rust and the drains scream back at you. You don’t take a shower here… You battle for your life. Taps are not working.

We liked the place where it is situated.

Staff did not communicate properly, we did not receive soap, towel and other things, we had to ask several times to get such facilities.

Amazing location. River is right there in front of the hostel. My dorm bed also had the river view. Overall good hostel, wifi was good, staff was helpful, beds were comfy and vibe was good too!!

I recently stayed at this hostel, and unfortunately, my experience was terrible. Despite being brand new, it's clear that a LOT of work is needed before this hostel can be considered functional... The staff is apathetic, unwelcoming and don't seem to care about guests or the property. I do not understand how this place has such a high rating. 1) No running water and electricity for ~8 hours at the property: (I'm not kidding.) I was told that the issue with the water is because of a broken pipe far away it's 'not in their hands'. Whats truly humorous is that the staff did not turn on the generator because they didn't 'know how to' do it and the guy who was supposed to do it was somewhere 'up in the mountains'. (?!?!) I had to help start the generator for them. It isn't too difficult to figure out. Took less than 5 minutes. You just have to try. Which the staff at Madpackers, don't. 2) Barely functional cafe: I ordered a simple black coffee, and I was told it would take 20 minutes. So I head to my room and come back down 30 minutes later to find out that my coffee isn't available as the 'chef is away or asleep'. This could have been told to me earlier. I mean, it's a black coffee dude. How difficult is it to boil water and pour a pack of Nescafe? Do you really need a 'chef' for this? 3) Didnt let me check in early, even though my bed was available when I arrived at 11:30 and the check in is 2:00 (i was told this by other members sharing the dorm later in the evening). - Unwelcoming. 4) No Drinking water! : The common area has a water dispenser... But it didn't have a water can. We were told to buy water bottles outside which the staff will help refill?!? This is plain stupid and reflects a lack of planning. Overall, the staff’s apathetic and unwelcoming attitude further detracted from my stay. There’s a significant gap between the reviews and the reality of my experience.

The devil’s in the details: for a super-competitive price, you get a highly professional, well-polished space with most comfortable bedding, reliable facilities, water fountains, a cozy common area, workspace, and more. and the staff is super friendly. My only real complaint with myself was why i did not choose this hostel before
