The bathroom and shower floor tiles too cold and heating system needs to be upgraded. Old wall panel type takes longer time to heat up.

Reviewed May 26, 2026A real country hotel. Clean and comfortable. Friendly staff. Enjoyed an evening meal in the bar/dining room. Liked the separate bedroom.
Very minor things, e.g., the windows slid sideways to open, leaving an opening beside the door handle/lock. (Easy to reach in, if you are locked out, I guess) The light switch placements, esp bathroom one, were not easy to find in the dark. Small bathroom.

Reviewed Apr 6, 2026Dated, The town is in the middle of no where we arrived around 5pm and needed to have a meal in the pub this is where you book into your room we had our 4 yr old grandson and they told us they where fully booked and could even cook him a bowl of fries very rude we wasn’t advised to book a table in advance unfriendly

Reviewed Apr 4, 2026The units are more spacious than they looked from the outside. Had everything you needed. Heaps of cooking utensils if you needed to cook something. Clear instructions on table and walls about the expectations of their guests. Electric blanket was a good bonus.
The bright emergency exit light above the main door, but theres a door on the bedroom which you can close to eliminate that problem so no biggie.

- der Preis ist teuer, aber natürlich für eine Familie immer noch billiger als andere Unterkunftsmöglichkeiten in der Umgebung - ohne Klimaanlage

Reviewed Mar 17, 2026Great location for exploring the surrounding area. Housekeeping was attended everyday. It was handy to have the pub on site with its delicious and filling meals. The unit had everything we needed to enjoy a weeks’ stay.
Nothing to dislike but a suggestion, The bathroom for the unit we were in could benefit from more hooks.

Reviewed Mar 5, 2026The room was in an appropriate distance from the pub, so it was quite enough, despite the live music. It was spacious, accommodating two couples without uncomfortable exposure.
The floor covering (deep soft carpet) is not the best choice in this environment, at least not from practical perspective. I presume it is difficult to clean (as the dirt patches and dark spots collaborate) and it had a quite distinct smell.

Would highly recommend staying here if you are visiting Methven. My husband & I stayed 2 nights & would definitely stay here again. Thank you again for a wonderful end to our three week south island New Zealand holiday.

Reviewed Feb 25, 2026Super motel qui a aussi une laundry, un bar restaurant avec des jeux (fléchettes et billard). La chambre était spacieuse et confortable avec vue sur le golf. Emplacement relativement pratique entre Tekapo et Queenstown (avec un léger détour).
Les télés mériteraient d’être modernisés pour permettre la connection à Netflix.
