TGH Guest House Badian

L amabilité du personnel. Elles étaient aux petits soins. Nous avons pu leur emprunter un mixeur pour faire nos jus de mango. Elles tenaient à nettoyer nos chambres. Elles ont évite quil y ait des locaux dans le logement pour ne pas que nous soyons embêtes car on est tombé en plein pendant une grande fete locale. Facile d accès aux cascades, moalboal en scooter

La guest house est vraiment dans une rue "locale". On s est senti très regardés. Beaucoup de bruit en ville.

The owners were overseas but the caretakers who were in charge were just amazing. Bed and pillows were comfy. Amenities were provided: soap, shampoo, toothpaste, coffee & bottled water. The water refill station outside the room came in handy. Nearby are 7-11, small stores & Payag restaurant which served good food. I didn’t realize I booked the shared toilet but it was spacious and clean plus no other guests to share it with. You can book everything with them from taxi, canyoneering & sardine run tour. The price was worth it.

Everything was good. Light sleepers may occasionally hear noises from neighbors but I had earplugs on so it didn’t bother me.

The staff were very accommodating and helpful. The place was well kept and very clean. The location was the perfect jumping point to attractions in Badian and the south of Cebu with several options nearby for transportation.

We stayed here for a few days and - thanks to the owners - had an absolutely wonderful time. They are incredibly hospitable and friendly, and they help you with everything you need. The rooms, shared bathroom, and common areas are very clean. The town of Badian is a great local base for doing a canyoneering tour at Kawasan Falls (which can also be very well arranged through the guesthouse), visiting Osmeña Peak (or other viewpoints), exploring more waterfalls, or simply enjoying a scooter ride along the coast or through the countryside. We won’t forget these days and they will have a special place in our hearts ❤️

The owners were amazingly kind and welcoming, gave us great tips for our ongoing travels, were always super friendly and lovely. The rooms and bathrooms were spotless, the beds fairly comfortable, AC worked well. I really enjoyed the view from the balcony with the amazing „public pool“ and huge fig tree. The area is not very touristy so you’re a little bit of an attraction here as a foreigner but there’s some local food options around and the Kawasan falls are close by.

‎I love TGH. It offers clean and quiet accommodation with a touch of nature's goodness, being located right next to a spring and a ginormous Balete tree. Though simple, the house is safe, well-maintained, and a walking distance from the heart of Badian where everything is within reach. The bedrooms are clean, and spacious. TGH offers free drinking water, and toiletries as well. I'm very grateful to the owners for their warm welcome, accommodation, and friendly spirit! The place is best whether you're looking for a place to stay while exploring Badian, or a temporary refuge from life's hustle and bustle. Also, they offer delicious breakfast for only 275 PHP, which you can enjoy on the terrace while listening to the birds' morning songs and the gentle lapping of the nearby waters. ‎ ‎✅The owners are very responsive to requests and questions, but if you ever find it difficult to locate the place, just: 1. Tell the bus driver to drop you off Badian complex. 2. On the side of the complex, there's a street going to the market. Ask the tricycle drivers (where is TGH, or how to get to the "SIMA", sima is spring in vernacular. 🌊They will surely know where this is. 3. Walk towards the public market "mercado" in vernacular. On the right side, you will find a stall selling roasted chicken/pork. It has a tiny street leading to the "sima" or spring. I'm saying this because the spring is in front of TGH, which is a big orange house. ❗If you find this difficult, you can always ask a local to guide you going to sima/public spring. Everyone knows where it is, and it's just a few meters from the street.

The lobby sometimes smells like cigarettes. I don't know why, but everything else is perfect. I highly recommend this place. While the house can be challenging to find, don't take it negatively. Just remember to ask where is the sima/public spring and you're there. It's actually a bonus that TGH is not right in a street. It's like a beautiful secret behind the noise of the main road. Also, the neighbors could get a bit loud, but it's not always the case. You can still definitely relax while staying in TGH.

The balcony in the common area is really nice and the staff was friendly. The ac works well.

The standard rooms have a shared bathroom even though when you book on booking.com it says the bathroom is private. This is okay for the price but it should be said before booking.

Sicuramente il punto forte sono gli host! Gentili,disponibili,accoglienti,attenti ad ogni necessità. Acqua potabile sempre disponibile calda e fredda,condizionatore, molto pulito tutto l' ambiente, terrazzino comune molto carino! Ambiente tranquillo,fuori dal caos di maolballl, vicino al mercato locale,e alla piscina pubblica. Ti permette di vivere la ruralità del villaggio ma con una coccola in piu! Ray ci ha trovato organizzato e trovato tutte le attività che cercavamo . Una cordialità sincera e preziosa!, anche da parte dei suoi collaboratori! Grazie!

Loved the local an authentic feel of this guesthouse. The room was comfortable, clean and the staff was communicative and welcoming. Booked our Kawasan Falls tour directly and was pleased with the service and pricing. Highly recommend going as early as possible to avoid the congestion. The guesthouse was perfectly positioned in Badian to take advantage of the local food scene, which was excellent and preferable to more touristy areas like Moalboal. Wonderful conversation shared with the owner and his family. Highly recommended for authenticity, value and hospitality.

Die Gegend ist nicht besonders schön. Draußen ist häufig Bootslärm der auch in der Nacht nicht ganz weggeht, da die Fischer von der nahegelegenen Insel die ankommen.

La habitación es amplia y muy limpia, el baño está fuera de la habitación, pero igualmente es amplio y muy limpio, la verdad es que tiene un aire de gran casa y crea un gran espíritu de hogar. Se encuentra en el mejor sitio de todo badian mirando al río, junto a una especie de piscina de agua dulce casi natural, con agua muy cristalinas, sencillamente espectacular. Pero sin duda lo mejor de este alojamiento son los dueños, me gustó tanto que sin duda lo tengo apuntado como alojamiento a recompensar… esa atención fue magnífica, se levantaron a las 4 de la mañana solo para despedirse de mi! Fue como estar en casa.

When they say its a guest house, you really are treated like a guest! I had a wonderful couple of days stay here and the owners and house keeper were always smiley, helpful and up for a chat! All the facilities were clean and tidy, with everything you need in your room! The guest house is set in beautiful surroundings and allows you to be part of the local community! There are a few restaurants I recommend (will need a scooter): Zanman Grill and Eskapo Verde

Super friendly and helpful host. Nice balcony to sit in the evenings and lovely location next to water and a big tree. Simple but comfy room.

Todo estaba limpísimo. Las 2 hermanas a cargo del hotel, excepcionales, se adelantaban a tus necesidades y me trataron muy bien, me hice daño en la espalda y me cuidaron casi como una madre. Me buscaron alguien que me dio un masaje en la espalda que vino hasta el hotel etc etc Las vistas desde un balcón con una mesa donde desayunaba daban a un río y un árbol imponente.

No hubo nada que no me gustara. Estuve muy agusto.

Amazing staff and location

The very first time we experience European standard water pressure in the shower 😁 moreover the whole house and especially the bathroom is super clean and beautifully. Big rooms with very comfortable mattresses. Additionally the location couldn't be better, 1 min walking to the "main market". The wifi connection was a bit slow from time to time, but this is nothing compared to the benefits of this stay. 100% recommend

We arrived at 12.30 and we where told that checkin was at 2 pm to go for lunch and go back....they only have 3 rooms and no guest...for what we had seen the room was ready but she made us wait till 2 pm outside....we finally got the room but was the wrong one....They advertise a private bathroom....that is not correct...there is a bathroom to share with 2 more rooms outside your room....i was in bed reading and after a while I've noticed that the pillow was wet ...it was a lot of water coming from the air-conditioning...the problem was fixed later on the afternoon....very noisy at night with dogs barking....

Ligt niet in het toeristische deel maar wel heel dichtbij de activiteiten zoals de watervallen canyoning en zipline. Ze kunnen dit voor een hele goede prijs voor je regelen. Het dorpje is levendig en zeer lokaal

The room and entire accommodation were spotless. The hosts were very nice, welcoming, and accommodating needs. There're complimentary toiletries, coffee sachets, drinking water hot/cold. There's kettle and cups in the room. Good AC, wifi, sometimes unstable, but it was possible to manage online video conversations. There are a lot of places to get food in the walkable distance. Good spot to further exploration of the island as there're good bus connections.

Couldn’t have picked a better place to stay. The property is right in the middle of all the activities you could want to do (canyoneering, zip lines, floating island, snorkelling, diving, etc) but is not a tourist trap like Moalboal. The property has a fresh water pool right outside which is a great place to interact with the locals and there is a market within 5 mins walk. The hosts were incredibly hospitable, and helped us plan and book several activities. Will definitely be going back when we visit again and would recommend to everyone!

The location is ideal to go to Kawasan falls and the canyoneering. The host organized our excursion and it was half the price of other excursions online.

It says breakfast is available on site but it’s the owner who cooks and he was not there so no breakfast, which I think needs to be specified in the listing, as healthy meal options are not easily within reach.

The location is amazing, immersed in local culture, in a quiet part of the town, the host were very helpful and friendly. The room is spacious, well maintained and very clean, small gestures like free toiletries and a welcome drink make it noticeable.

The location is a bit odd....cannot get there by car....once there spend time on the balcony to observe boats and children by the river ....

The place is very clean and right in the center of village, where the market, restaurants and scooter rental are a stone’s throw. I also love the terrace overlooking the estuary. Only cold shower is available but the hair dryer has compensated this slight inconvenience.

I think the whole place is worth the price you pay. It is charming and you get a view of a public pool. The lovely balete tree in front is a sight to behold. It is cozy and the staff are extremely friendly. Ask them for recoms on where to eat (nothing fancy) or if they know a guy with a boat you can rent to go around the mangroves and visit the nearby island.

Getting to the place is a quite tricky because of this almost hidden road that leads to the hotel, if you are coming from the Public Market. Not the fault of the hotel though since it is an ongoing road dispute. It would be nice to provide really specific instructions on how to get there. Good thing though, you can just ask anyone and they know the place.

The welcome drinks, spacious room, complimentary coffees, shampoos and tissue napkins. Very clean, welcoming staff. They served our sumptous breakfast and the staff gave us free juice and water. Overall, pleasant stay!
