Changsha Desti Youth Park Hostel Wuyi Square-24H Reception&Cafe& Bar& Luggage Storage& Large Public Area

Good location, friendly staff and free Sauna service in the evening. It was an excellent stay for the price range.

Some construction was going on, but that's only temporary, so no worries for the future.

This hostel is new, clean and really comfortable for staying.

Helpful staff, nice common area where you can meat other travellers, clean rooms

Ok

Ok

Helpful staff

No breakfast on sale

- Location - Comfy bed

- Room with no window -There was a no smoking policy but you could smell and see cigarette butts in the toilets.

Very clean, quiet, good location, staff is very friendly.

The room was so comfortable and everyone was so nice. There are many acitivties organized and one of my friend got to sing in the common area: creating unforgetable memories!! We met some amazing friends with whom we spent the day with and discovered some amazing spots.

Clean and comfort, smooth check-in and check out. There is a convenient shop downstairs

None

Clean and comfort, there is a convenient shop downstairs.

So far nothing.

Stayed with 3 diff Desti hostels. As usual, they provide superbly thick towels and a bottle mineral water for each and every day ot stay. However, this one is probably the furthest away from metro and also the shopping district. The layout of the common/reception area which is in a building different from the building which the rooms were kind of killed some of the hostel vibe in my opinion. Also the lights are lacking at the elevator to the rooms.

It's part of chain hostels and it provides solid quality and standard. Comfy beds and sleeping section. Water dispensers. Laundry are with automatic driers (not standard in China). Helpful staff. Good location. The room was clean but a bit messy. A bit too little space for luggage.

Clean and tidy, great location

The best Desti “背包十年” that I stayed at in China. More social than other Desti hostels. Staff was really friendly and actually joined me for a run. I had a really great experience here! 😁

The staff were very friendly.

Clean

A bit of walking to subway.

Property has a huge laundry area to hang clothes, has individual lockers in the room to store personal belongings.

People were smoking in the toilet, smoke smell was evident despite no smoking signs present

Very good. Would recommend to friends and family

Clean and value for money

The staff is just okay. Not smile on the face. The hostel is quite away from train stop. Need to walk 20 min.

Bed was comfy and was very private because of the curtains. The lockers can be locked with the room key. There is a big laundry room. The location is great. There's a small cafe/bar and a common area on the ground floor.

My room was a bit loud in the evening when people got back, but this is probably because Changsha is a bit more of a going out city. The hostel floor is huge and a bit dark and labyrinth like because there are no windows. The room was also a bit dark (because of the paint, but there was a window).

overall is good and the staff is friendly super worth with the money

the smoking signage is there, but seen not one border it, can smell smoke everywhere.

We booked 2 twin rooms. I really liked how the rooms had a small entry area where we could leave our outdoor shoes. And slip into indoor slippers. The rest of the room was up a couple of steps on a platform where the beds were. The beds felt really comfortable after our flight. The bed linens felt really clean and freshly laundered. The room was well lighted. The ensuite bathrooms were a good size, with the showers separated, so the whole bathroom didn't get wet. A long desk ran along the glass wall facing a major road, but there was practically no traffic noise (electric vehicles make a lot of difference!) There was a kettle which we really appreciated. The hostel looked new and the corridors very neat and well-equipped with a water dispenser, clean common bathrooms and lockers and indoor slippers for those staying in dorms. Quiet too. The common lounge was spacious with lots of areas to gather and enjoy activities like pool. Good vibe. We rested very well that one night and had nice noodles in a little shop a few minutes' walk from the hostel. Before the hostel staff helped us to call a taxi to take us to the train station. All in all, a comfortable stay.

The common lounge area for the hostel was on the ground floor of the building while the lift to the rooms were a few floors up. We had to exit the common lounge and walk to the "public" lift outside the building (past a mini mart) to get to the floor our rooms were located at. Perhaps it was our first time encountering such a big building which had multiple usage like this one, so it felt a little awkward. (But there were security doors so it felt safe). We arrived around midnight and the only food we could get were snacks and bowl noodles from the little mini mart on the ground floor, next to the lift. I found the bathroom a little too dark (partly due to the dark tiles) and the shower area a little dingy.

Location was cool - we only stayed there one night on the way to Zhangjiajie. The staff were really cool and gave us recommendations. Didn't get to enjoy the nighttime activities but it's cool that there are some! Air conditioning in private room was good.

Like other hotels they aren't super knowledgable on tourist things to do and don't speak amazing english but still very helpful. The platform bed is a bit annoying but for the price who cares. Also the windows let a lot of light in at night.

Very clean and comfortable. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

The location is a little out of the way, but all amenities are easily accessible if needed.

Impressed by the clean and cozy bed, love the friendly staff there.

Nothing

I dont like the service much. I book the bonks in the 6-bonks room but when I check in they require me to cancel booking to book 4-bed room and charge me more money :( It is not my fault, wth with these kinds of service Women and man can not stay in the same room.

Clean, good atmosphere

Hope there are more foreign tourists all around the world being there! Best wishes

Great location with walking distance to the nearby metro. The room has everything I need and it's clean.

The city view is not so impressive. Some staff can't speak English.

this my first time I'm staying at this hotel and I'm impress by the service, i checked im at midnight and im surprise that the staffs provided a greeting note welcome me. Staffs also assist me alot when i having problems on the direction. I'll return to this hotel again when i come back to Changsha.

No. I think this check-in experience was very perfect

Everything was perfect! Many thanks to the staff of the hotel, extremely helpful and hospitable! Helped me a lot with everything. The room is amazing, just like at the photos.Good coffee and nice feeling， I enjoyed it.

The receptionists are so lovely and welcoming! We stayed in a private double room and it was amazing. The bed was so soft and comfortable and the room was really clean. We really enjoyed our stay here!

I stayed in a 10 female bedroom for 4 nights in Mai 2024. Regarding the location the hostel of very close to the Metro station as well as to bus stations. Opposite of the hostel you are gonna have the River where you are able to enjoy music artists, ayi dances or a nice walk in the evening. The hostel itself is divided in two building next to each other. One of the building includes the reception, the lobby as well as a bar with life music at the evening. In the second building are the bedrooms located. It is quite nice to be seperated regarding the bar and life music. Additionally the hostel offers two clean sanitary which are big enough for several people. It also provides shower gel and Shampoo in the shower, slippers, cotton pads, cotton swabs, a towel and a bottle of water every day for free. Summarized the location, the staff and the price are well.

Unfortunately the seperated lobby comes with some minuspoints, as soon as you need to eat. Since you aren't allowed to eat in your room (which is reason able and fine), you have to go to the lobby to eat which is very uncomfortable. Firstly because you would have to leave the building to enter the lobby, secondly because in my case I don't like to eat in a bar , where the light is dimmed and a noisy environment is offered. Unfortunately there isn't any quite room available in the hostel where you could just sit and read a book, work or have a phone call. Another minuspoint are the doors to the dorms, since they are very loud when closing. This entailed myself to wake up several times a night because someone left or entered the room.

This is so cool. Great hostel.

Chinese food is delicious，i'm very like it.

The room was nice, the reception was also good, the atmosphere at night was very good, I met a lot of new friends, the room where I slept was comfortable, the toiletries and bathing facilities were perfect, and it was a good experience

The location is very good, the room is very clean, the hygiene is very neat, and the staff is also very responsible.

This is a comfortable journey. The room is quiet, but the activities in the activity area are very interesting!

Very satisfied with a stay experience, the public area is very large, the facilities are perfect and clean, will consider coming again next time.

Loved it here and will come again.

Staff there takes care of you. They walk you to the room show you around and are in general very helpful and friendly. And the facilities are top notch. And there are little extras uncommon for hostels - the water bottle on your bedside table, the slippers provided for you ... Highly recommended!
