Yunqi River View Terrace Hotel

Excellent location, in the heart of downtown and walking distance to most sights. Metro station just in front of the hotel, very convenient to/from airport and train station. Incredible view on the city from the terrace, especially at night, where you can enjoy your own food and drinks. The room was spotless, comfortable, and had its own small terrace. No noise and good sleep. The owners are very attentive and always available to accommodate your needs. They communicated easily via wechat and payments are handled via Alipay, that are essential to travel in China and need to be installed and set up in advance, so to process the prepayment to the property (it’s not a scam). The place was so good that we came back for another 3 nights. Highly recommended! Thank you very much for the wonderful stay :-)

All was good !!! Just be aware that the massive building where the hotel is located on the last floor (30th) may seem a bit old but it’s Chongqin style, no need to worry.

incredible rooftop with views

place is difficult to find in a backyard, didnt like the entrance to the property, the 1 min walk from the elevator is terribly detoriated, smelling of cat pee etc., still excellent stay

We spent a few days in Chongqing. We really liked the hotel: it offered a beautiful view of the bridge and was within easy walking distance of the metro and pedestrian streets. Most importantly, the staff were very polite and helpful-they checked us in late at night, assisted with our luggage, and even showed us how to use Chinese delivery services. Thank you!

Everything was Great, the Location the room, the people working there everything. We had a Great time and I would definitely stay there the next time I visit.

Nothing

L’aria condizionata molto difficile da regolare e puntava direttamente in faccia a letto

Central location, right next to the metro station, very friendly and accommodating owners. The property also has a rooftop with a great view.

Staff molto gentile e disponibile. Camera pulita, spaziosa e confortevole.

Fantastic view and excellent hosts.

Perfect and central location, clean room and comfortable bed. The area is full of restaurants and the famous cableway is opposite of the hotel' building. The view from the room' s balcony was great. There is also a common terrace. The owner is really nice and helpful and he gave me excellent food recommendations. Communication with him was clear and quick. The building is a bit old, but I personally see this as a posive aspect as it has character and you get to see how people live in Chongqing. I will for sure go back during my next visit and I highly recommend this place.

Everything was OK.

This place is amazing. For what you get accommodation has a really good price. Modern room with a big city side window and a terrace sin the middle of the city so if you are on a budget you don’t even have to visit any sightseeing platform which get to be expensive. The staff is amazing. They help you with your trip. P.S. I reserved in time around holiday so avoiding no shows or empty rooms they want you to pay the room before arrival. No not start alarming, this is nit a scam

Very good location and the staff were very very helpful.

Nothing; well priced.

The owner od this hotel is truly the best person alive by any metric imaginable. Great guy, always smiling and ready to help with or answer any questions. People like him are the absolute highest level of being an ambasador of his country and should be considered for the president in the next election. Truly, I have never experienced a higher degree of competence whilst traveling through many countries. The room itself was very nice as well! Clean and matching the pictures, with a wonderful view. Also really close to every tourist atraction around.

It was too short :(

The staff were very helpful in giving us recommendations for things to do and places to eat. The location is very convenient, just outside a subway stop and short walking distance to hongyadong and jiefangbei. Also, the view from the terrace is spectacular! I would highly recommend this hotel :)

Helpful host, I love this city

View from room. Perfect location. Toilet bowl with Japanese style. Staff is super helpful.

Next to CRT exit but only stairs at last ~30-40 steps. It's not hotel by the name but rather old apartment with room making daily. Super clean though. Room with lift-up floor so the ceiling is low. Room size is a bit small but the size is as mentioned.

Staff was exceptionally friendly.

cntre clean and quite beautiful veiw

top foolr

Thw owner and staff are one of the best people I have known. They are very helpful, and attentive. The rooms are very clean and cozy and has the best view there is! I was also able to see the drone show thanks to their notice. I had the best time and will come back time and time again.

Nothing

La ubicación, buena vista de la terraza.

El acceso al hotel, estaba en remodelación.

Good location, right in the centre of the city area. Has a rooftop where you have an amazing view of the city lights at night. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Owner is friendly and speaks good English. Wifi is good, and there's a washing machine and area for hanging clothes. Finally, it's great value for money.

The communication with the host was odd. They kept asking me to pay them in advance using wechat for months beforehand. I kept telling them I'd pay them when I arrived or through the app, and to stop bothering me. I guess there was some communication breakdown: it wasn't a scam or anything, it was just annoying.

the staff are soooo friendly . and location is perfect in walking distance to anywhere in the central.

the pass from the elevator to the room could make it better .

The staff (I met a slightly older and slightly younger guy) were very friendly, and also spoke reasonably good English. The location was good - more or less in Chongqing downtown, and right on top of two subway lines. Very affordable. There's a view of the river from the terrace.

My data signal (Nihao Mobile) wasn't particularly good here, and the Wifi provided wasn't very good. You can't put toilet paper in the toilet (but there is a bidet, so this is not a big deal). A couple of edges around the underside of the bed are slightly rough, and there's a narrow channel beside the bed, so it's possible you scrape yourself a little. Also, when you get to the 30th floor, there's an open window from about waist height - I was a bit scared if you were looked out and were very unlucky and slipped, there'd be a (very small) chance of falling...

Grosses Fenster.

Zugang zur Dusche etwas eng.

Excellent location and very warm heart staff.

The hotel is located at the top floor in a residential building with only two elevators for a long time waiting.

It was AMAZING. Location was perfect, view was incredible, the room was cozy, the staff was lovely! I enjoyed my stay so much!

Perfect location, right at the cable car station, perfect view, cute balcony and nice terrace, especially at night. The staff is super friendly and made sure everything went smoothly.

Tolles Personal, tolle Dachterasse, Kühlschrank mit Getränken zum kaufen

The hotel was very clean and quiet. The staff gave excellent recommendations for food. It felt like an oasis from the busy streets of Chongquin.

This was an exceptional place to stay. The view, from our balcony or from the patio on the roof is simply amazing- you can see the city and the bridge and the surrounding mountains. The price was very affordable so it's 100% worth it. The rooms are clean, beds comfortable, air-conditioning and other equipment works perfectly. The owner is especially nice and speaks very good English and can help you out and give some recommendations for Chongqing. Oh, and there's a cute cat living there 😀

Nothing.

The host was exceptional, even helped us order stuff from Taobao. Also the hotel room was amazing.

View from balcony/staff/Cat security lol and amazing rooftop as shown in photos

Nada

Staff is very extremely friendly and helpful, and a cute cat hanging around the entrance. The view from the balcony room was great. Popular tourist destinations conveniently close by. I will definitely come again on my next trip to Chongqing!

An amazing place right in the heart of the city, with a stunning view from the terrace where you can relax beautifully in the evenings. The owner is a wonderful person with perfect English, incredibly helpful with any questions. Thanks to him, I enjoyed Chongqing to the fullest. My best experience—highly recommended if you want a perfect stay in this incredible city!

Amazing location and view from the terrace. Very cozy room with the balcony you don’t want to leave. Management team is very sweet and helpful. I absolutely loved my stay here and would recommend it.

It's a nice hotel very well situated in the heart of the city with everything you need around you. There's even a little convenience store downstairs and of course plenty of restaurants. Many sights are just a few walking minutes away. The view from the rooftop is so good. You can always access it from the same floor as the hotel. So you can have snacks or a drink when coming home at night or maybe watch the sunrise. The staff is incredible and always friendly. I lost my phone in a private car that drove me from the airport. You can imagine my distress. What did the hotel owner do? The next day he accompanied me in a Mission Impossible styled race through the city, tracking my phone with me from my laptop and with the help of the police, we figured out the license plate through CCTV and I was reunited with my phone after 12 hours. It was quite the crazy story and I don't think I would have seen that much help from a regular big hotel. It was a big relief, he was such a great help and the staff was always helpful in answering my every question.

Very friendly and helpful staff.

We’ve traveled to every continent and visited countless cities but this host is the absolute best. He was in touch as soon as we booked, catered for our every need and more (he asked questions to unveil needs we didn’t know we could have and provided solutions). He was so helpful and went out of his way to make sure we’d enjoy our short stay in the city, recommended the right places for the right meal/activity and even walked us to a specific spot in our first day. The room was incredibly cozy, clean and comfortable. The view from the balcony was perfect and we are forever grateful to this man for making our first stay in china one of our most memorable. We will absolutely come back!

Just a heads up that there is a small flight of stairs to get to the hotel floor. Feasible in case of heavy luggage but bear in mind in case of disability.

Amazing location right in the city centre. The best part is definitely the amazing staff who were extremely nice and helpful, fluent in english. Our room also had a great view.

Rooms were not very clean. We initially booked the cheapest room, but it turned out to be extremely tiny and had no windows, we had to upgrade to the room with terrace, so probably could have gotten an overall nicer hotel for the price. Overall expected a bit more due to good reviews

I like that it was quiet at night. The balcony views were fantastic. The owner and staff were very helpful and cheerful. The owner spoke English. The location is really close to the train station and in walking distance to a few of the attractions. It's also a central location if you want to do day trips, such as Ciqikou and Laojundong. I also like the bidet toilet that had warm seats which are very nice in the winter! I would want to stay here again when I come back!

The only minor complaint is that the area just outside the shower is narrow. I'm not sure about other bathroom arrangements.

location is strategic

The building a little old

The location is amazing

It was in the heart of the city and a spectacular view of Chongqing’s CBD. Also, the room was clean and spacious.

The property was at the different location in Apple Maps.

Room was cozy and very clean. Staff was beyond helpful and friendly. Overall a highlight to our trip

Fantastic view from the nicely decorated roof deck. Friendly and helpful host and staffs. Room amenities well thought of with excellent daily housekeeping. Location near to metro station and many tourist attractions and restaurants. Highly recommended.

Going through residential apartment lifts up to 30th floor for access. But feel good once in the hotel room.

The host is the best, attaintive to all requests. Enthusiastic and very likeable. Highly recommend this place. Good location too.

Location was very good, room was clean and good size. Views from terrace were amazing. Host was extremely helpful, very good English and helped me plan my route to the subway station and interesting things to do. Would definitely stay again.

Nothing

The view from the roof was lovely. The manager was very helpful with booking a taxi and telling us where the bank was (open on Sunday too!). He even upgraded our room as we booked one without a window. Also was in a great location opposite the CRS metro station and the Chongqing Cable Rope entrance. Shops were only a short walk away as was large supermarket.

It was hard getting out of the lift then having to walk up the final steps. My husband would like a handrail fitted as he has difficulty walking now due to his age.

The owners were such amazing people really helpfull and spoke great English! Never have I ever met such kind hearted hosts before! The hotel room was super clean and the hotel has an amazing rooftop on the 30th floor where you can look over Chongqing. Plus the hotel is located in the very middle of the city center. Would definitly recommend if you are looking for a space in Chongqing.

Nothing!

Value for money, nice view, staff friendly and helpful.

Small bathroom.

Nice location and great view to stay for a few days.

It would be great if the elevator can go to the top floor.
