Fool's Paradise Homestay

Shivu and Sini were terrific hosts, facilitated all excursions, provided breakfast and dinner. Sinister took me to a private hospital for leg wounds I suffered while swimming earlier and took us shopping and visiting beautiful churches.

Walls dirty, mattress too thin. The location ear the beach was unproductive due to no safe swimming and trash all over the beach. We spent our days studying and swimming in the lovely pool.

Super wlasciciele bardzo mili i uprzejmi, miejsce godne polecenia na reset od zgielku indii i chill out, dodatkowo prywatny parking na samochod.

Bardzo ładny dom, taras, basen, czyste pokoje i łazienki, dobre śniadanie, mili i pomocni gospodarze.

Bravo, tout était parfait, nous avons passé de bonnes vacances, merci beaucoup de votre aide. Thierry et Catherine.

Belle maison d'hôtes où nous avons passé 4 nuits, située dans un quartier sans touristes, plutôt tranquille, non loin d'une plage. Nous avons été gentiment accueillis par Shibu et sa femme Suni. Ils sont adorables et toujours aux petits soins. La cuisine est délicieuse et les petits déjeuners sont variés si vous le souhaitez . Pour les activités et visites, Shibu est de très bon conseil, faites lui confiance ! Une mention spéciale pour le massage qu'il nous a réservé, et un coup de cœur pour le moment de partage en cuisine avec tous les deux 😍. Merci beaucoup pour ce séjour inoubliable !

La literie un peu trop ferme pour nous !

Die großzügige schöne Veranda vor den Zimmern als Treffpunkt und zum Essen mit meiner Familie, die auch ein Zimmer belegte. Wir haben uns auch nach den Ausflügen im Pool wohl gefühlt. Sini hat mir jeden Morgen Kaffee ins Zimmer gebracht, sehr aufmerksam. Shibu hat uns jederzeit beim organisieren geholfen und gute Tips gegeben.

Die Lage ist sehr gut und ruhig. Die Rikshafahrer aus der Stadt hatten etwas Mühe den Ort zu finden

The food was excellent and they would always try to get you what you wanted. Always plenty to eat and you can use the fridge. Everyone was so very kind and helpful we could not ask for more from such good hosts . It was a delight to see local life.

The showers were often cool.

The house and garden were both lovely and perfect for a relaxing few days after a long journey from home. The pool was great for cooling off after a stroll along the beach. Our hosts, Sini and Shibu were AMAZING!. Aswell as providing the tastiest of Breakfasts and Dinners, making sure our children had food which was not too spicy and they could enjoy, Shibu also arranged transport for us locally to Marari beach (well worth a visit) and from the airport. There is a little shop nearby for drinks and snacks and the beach is a 5 minute stroll away. We would highly recommend this place and our children are still talking about our wonderful hosts!

Shibu and his wife could not do enough to make my stay a pleasurable one. I had a cash flow crisis (card declined) which they were very understanding about and help resolve. The location is stunning with a pleasurable aspect ( the veranda) where I sat for hours just looking at the amazing scenery. It is the perfect quiet get away but with lots to see and do.

The bed was a bit hard for me

Shibu and Cini could not have been more welcoming and helpful. The food was lovely especially the mango juice made from mangoes grow. in their own garden. The garden and pool were lovely. Shibu organised an excellent driver for me and a wonderful trip through the backwaters. First class service.

The mattress was very hard though that’s often a matter of personal preferences.

The property was truly stunning! The fairy lights added such a magical touch, and the pool was the perfect way to cool off after a warm day of exploring. Everything was perfect, but what made it extra special was how warm and welcoming Shibu and Sini were - always smiling and incredibly helpful, and the food … absaloutely delicious!

Really good homestay and perfect location if you want to be on the edge of town and a bit quieter. Clean and also really helpful staff. The pool is also nice and relaxing

The swimming pool set in a lovely garden was an absolute bonus and a rare find. The choices for breakfast were rich and varied, choices of cereals, fruits, pancakes and so much more. We were made to feel very much at home by Alan, Suni and Shibu who were wonderful hosts with gorgeous smiles. The location is safe and peaceful. So glad we chose this placement to stay.

Wonderful place to stay, beautiful garden with good swimming pool, very clean. Simi and Shibu were lovely hosts. Very attentive. Gave us some good meals and even sang to us one evening. Alan was also a great host. Went out of his way to take us round the village and introduced us to people, organised a fantastic trip on the backwaters and helped us get on the train when we left. We had a great time and can’t praise it highly enough.

The ambience, the absolute beauty of the garden and building, the incredibly helpful, friendly, supportive and fun team made this week an extraordinarily special one for us. We experienced fabulous excursions and places thanks to the support of the team. Fabulous food too! There are no fools at 'Fool's Paradise '..but it is Paradise!

The hotel is very close to the beach (there is NO infrastructure at the beach, nothing, just sand). I was able to check in early, which was great. Upstairs terrace was very nice, pleasant place to sit and work. Garden lighting is nice.

Given all the other reviews were so good, I was expecting a lot, but it felt in many ways that I was the first person to ever stay there, there were so many little niggles. There were language issues with the house keepers (who were friendly, but only spoke basic very English), and issues with payment (bring cash!!!). The pool just had a few cheap plastic seats, no deck chairs, no pool towels - foreigners going to a beach hotel want to lie by the pool! There was a hammock with a big hole in - remove, replace or repair please! Breakfast was "do you want chapatis"...well, I don't know, what are the other options!? A menu is needed. The hotel is quite remote, so you have to get a cab or walk a long way to get anything. It would be great if there was some proactive assistance to order food maybe, a drinks fridge would be excellent. The second night there was a group of rowdy guys who played loud music until I went downstairs at midnight to tell them to shut up. Overall, it was frustrating that with (quite a few) little touches, it could be really nice, but as it is, I wouldn't go back.

The stay was very nice, Sini, Shibu were very welcoming and nice. The two are wonderful, friendly people, we felt like home. The breakfast was very tasty and the best we've had while travelling. We could always say what we need. We had an amazing stay. We will never forget it. Thank you again! And the fool is actually really nice;)

From the moment we arrived in Kerala the owners of Fools Paradise took care of everything. Firstly, an airport transfer was waiting for us, making the journey stress free. When we arrived at the property Shibu & Sini greeted us with a warm welcome, chia, coffee, cold drinks & showed us to our air conditioned, en suite room. Just what you need in Kerala! The top notch hospitality continued throughout our week long stay. From breakfast cooking lessons, to family introductions & everything in between, we were made to feel right at home. Shibu & Sini are wonderful. They work hard to make sure every guest is take care of, while keeping the house, garden & pool clean & tidy, and cooking the most amazing Indian food too! A hire scooter arranged in advance by the owner arrived 1/2 an hour after we checked in. Perfect! We love to explore. One day we had a guided tour to a local museum, cafe & heart warming orphanage. The constant stream of guests coming & going shows just how good Fools Paradise is! We met some lovely people throughout our stay. I must also mention the wildlife in the garden, geckos, uppan birds, woodpeckers, hummingbirds. All varieties of butterfly. It’s a real oasis! We were sad to leave but our departure was made seamless with another airport transfer arranged by the owners. Kerala is a fantastic, beautiful part of the world. It’s not glamorous or pretentious. There are gorgeous beaches & lots of good places to eat near the home stay. Keralan food is outstanding & the people are friendly, helpful & inviting. If you are planning a visit we highly recommend staying at Fools Paradise. We will be returning! Thank you 😊 ❤️

This place is really a paradise. It is serene, the hosts are super nice, it is next to the beach and has a pool.

Nothing it was as described and just a lovely place

One of the best stays I have ever had, very clean property in a secluded place, peaceful environment. Helping and friendly staff, the welcome drink tea and snacks were all home made and hygienic. Sunny George and Jibin sahu were very friendly and made us feel at home. We were constantly checked upon for any help and guidance, We weren't even charged extra for extending the checkout, the swimming pool was maintained well, and the beach is just a few steps away from thumpoly beach. Very happy and satisfied with the stay.

It's a nice remote place close to the beach.we went during summer and can't expect muh a pleasing weather. We took the 3 rooms on the first floor and has a good time. Our pet popaye also enjoyed the stay The beach close to the resort is not at all crowded. It's better to go the beach as a group The main beach is just 2.5 kms from the place

We had a really good time at Fool's Paradise. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful so we always felt comfortable and welcome. We got good tips and recommendations from Sunny about where to eat and where to go.

The bathroom is ok but needs a lillte maintenance.
