Het personeel was super. Aardig en met humor. De pub is heel gezellig. We hebben er heerlijk gegeten en gedronken.
De kamer en badkamer waren verouderd. Maar we verbleven maar 1 nacht dus dat was geen probleem.
The staff were very pleasant and helpful. The evening meal and breakfast were of excellent quality. The atmosphere in the bar and restaurant area as livley and friendly.
The rooms were comfortable but they were described as luxurious in the booking.com but I belive this is overstated .
The Food and the lovely Staff
N/A
It was relaxing and comfortable rooms enjoyed our stay would recommend staying there
No bus to cavan town centre
Food in the bar lovely. Plenty of choice. Staff friendly and service great. Nice bar. Room lovely and a lively breakfast. We arrived at 8.10 and food stopped at 8.30 no problem cooked 3 full meals for us. Very happy with our stay.

The publican was remarkably friendly and accommodating with requests, the room was comfortable, and the breakfast in the morning was exceptional.

Nothing!
Sehr freundliches Personal. Feines Nachtessen.
Friendly, spacious room.
Location, in middle of village. Very accommodating staff, freshly cooked breakfast, good choice of cereals, fruit . Very comfortable bed and plenty of space in bedroom,tv WiFi coverage. Spacious bathroom with small walk in shower. Hairdryer in room. Car park has plenty of space Would go back
Stairs are steep so would be a challenge if not able bodied
Lovely village. Good food..nice atmosphere
The staff friendly.. giving us advice on fishing locations. The food was amazing..we ate there twice..fab. steak was amazing.. great location for exploring/ fishing Cavan area
Traditional pub with excellent Guinness. A great breakfast served with typical Irish humour.
Nichts.

Clean Friendly staff, good food
Nothing...definitely stay again
B&B with pub for socialising and food. Nice staff. Clean, comfortable room. (Have stayed before)
Friendly staff. Lovely food for evening meals and breakfast .parking
I understand it was a bank holiday and the patrons were enjoyed the music but to be in the bedroom directly above the THUMPING music into the wee small hours spoilt our stay . Any other time without the THUMPING music would be a pleasant stay or possibly a room further away from the music. The room requires a deep clean to remove the grime and cobwebs
Everything about this hotel was 100% amazing, you couldn't fault it in any shape or form. The food was beautiful, very friendly staff, your own privacy, bedrooms were incredible, and the the size of the bed blew my mind. I would absolutely come back and I'd recommend Fitzpatricks to anyone.
There was absolutely nothing that I didn't like, everything was perfect
Chambres confortables, personnel très sympathique, petit déjeuner copieux.
Friendly staff. Good breakfast.
Friendly staff and a great all round stay with a lovely breakfast too!
The staff were so very lovely and friendly - every single one of them. TJ spent a half an hour securing a taxi for me the following the morning which was amazing! The breakfast lady accommodated my limited diet and sent me off with a hot drink - and was very lovely too.
I like it was close to a wedding we were going too.
It was filthy in the back area towards our room. Have plugs off the walks, plasters etc. Obviously doing work. Gaps down the door which let in light. Then bar was doing horse race bidding an races until 2am on a microphone. If I'd have know that I'd not have gone.
A young man on staff was beyond helpful
It suited all our needs for one nights accommodation
Very friendly staff, great breakfast, 2/3 beds in the triple room were comfortable
Very dated, no plug in bathroom sink, carpets need cleaning or replacing, no tea bags only coffee left in room, view from window.
Everything the staff went above and beyond
No issues
I have been staying in hotels & B&Bs for the last 50 years & have never given anywhere a 10 but I will now. This is a gem of a hotel / B&B. It's located in Lough Gowna ( on the shores of the similarly named lake ) about 20 minutes from Cavan town. My wife & I were traveling to an event outside Cavan & booked Fitzpatricks Tavern & Hotel so we could be nearby the following morning. The service was excellent from the get-go. Our bags were taken from us & up the stairs to our room ( Room 6 was quiet & roomy ). We were given directions to Cavan ...."ignore the sign post below which is facing the wrong direction"...brilliant !! We unpacked & down to the bar for an excellent scampi each which was accompanied by 3 lovely tasty salads & chips. We both wanted to see the Limerick vs Galway hurling match & wondering how this would work out as we were in Cavan which not known for its hurling. This was no problem even though the bar was packed. The lady behind the bar turned over to TG4 on the biggest screen & we were set for the next hour. We found out from a person who lives locally that this area is a big tourist spot for fishing.....lots of visitors from the UK & beyond. We retired to bed & asleep quickly. Down for the breakfast in the morning to "you'll have the full Irish" ! We noticed there were lots of jams ( raspberry/ strawberry ) but no marmalade....a must-have for the toast. We asked for some & were told they didn't have any but..... & this is what gets the hotel from a 9.5 to a 10.....one of the staff left the room & arrived back with a jar of marmalade which he bought in the nearby shop. How can you beat that ??? We checked out & packed our bags into the car in the nearby car-park & off to Cavan. We'll be back with our fishing rods next time !
Absolutely nothing !
Nice rooms, friendly staff. Would recommend
Good atmosphere, food good and reasonable priced. Breakfast was excellent and lady serving was very friendly. Toilets were spotless.
Place was busy but staff not paying attention to people waiting to be served at the bar. When it quietened down staff still not noticed people looking to get served. Young staff not very friendly. No cold water in sink in room.
Comfortable and clean. Great food and great staff.

Staff were second to none girls couldn't have been more accomadating and breakfast was perfect excellent spot would highly recommend 👌
Mostly that we in the middle of Loch Gowna. Nicola, the most welcoming lovely lady. Marcella prepared a lovely breakfast on Friday and Saturday. The atmosphere was lovely, it’s an old country pub.
Just a few suggestions. Bed lamps would be a great addition Instructions on how to use the shower would be helpful. The room was very cold on Saturday night.
Beautiful pub. Great location. Highly recommend
Nothing
Breakfast was great. Hit the spot. Good service. Food is good there. Had fish and chips night before and it was excellent.
I could hear music till two but look it's a pub so you expect that.
Very friendly staff, room was larger than expected, bed was super comfortable and shower although small was good. Our dinner was really nice and served really quickly. Breakfast was provided by the B&B next day and was lovely with very friendly ladies
Shower was a bit small
Simple accommodation very clean. In a small village among the lakes. Very good breakfast. The staff are stars of this accommodation. They are very friendly & helpful. Came with us to show us potential charging point for electric car. Unfortunately it was gone. No fault of theirs. Would definately go back.
Location
Very cold , bedroom window open wide in month of October when shown to room took ages to warm up .. asked for double bed got two different height of singles pushed together!! Breakfast full of pepper which wasn’t great but ate it as hungry really bad view of rubbish outside bedroom window
All

Staff were brilliant, made us feel very welcome. Great spot for exploring local countryside and heading back to good food and a decent pint of Guinness. Lovely full Irish breakfast. Will definitely be back
The staff were excellent, couldn't do enough for us . I highly recommend.
Breakfast excellent
A small village, lively local pub scene. The breakfast as good, very pleasant cook / server, dining area was nice.
Carpeting of halls old and dirty, rooms slightly better.
The people all so friendly and helpful
All good
Food was delicious, the size of room
None
Breakfast was nice, location very poor nothing to do or see.could do with more cafes or restaurants otherwise your limited to what you eat and where
Rooms need to updated and welcoming, nothing appealing about the room at all very bleak no privacy without a blind on the windows when someone else uses the shower at the same time you get scalded with hot water
