Banff Woods lodge

When I originally booked this stay, I reserved this above lodging with a few things in mind. I wanted to be walking distance to the town, and I wanted my large group to be able to sleep and eat together. When the booking was cancelled by you, initially you did not want to help rectify the situation by assisting me book a new place to stay. After much pushback, you provided me with a few options that you insisted were comparable to the booking that was unceremoniously cancelled. Taking your word for it, I booked at the Banff Woods Lodge. Imagine my surprise when I arrived with my party of 12 and found out we were going to be staying in 2 separate units, with no big dining area for us to be able to spend time together, as well as the fact that there were not even enough beds for us and we had 2 people sleeping on pull out couches. Additionally, though the listing states it is in Canmore, the unit is actually in Harvey Heights, which is about 4 miles away from Canmore proper, (the heart of which we were originally booked to stay in) which forced us to walk 2 hours to get to any sort of civilization or store. This also forced us to rent cars, as Ubers are next to non existent there and taxis did not want to come pick us up. Lastly, the unit was incredibly dirty, with water stains on the ceiling, flies everywhere and the in-wall vaccuum broken, among other issues. I have pictures if required. I did not want to ruin the trip even more by sending this email while on vacation, so I hope you understand the delay in this message. I would like my credit card to be refunded. That everything was there that we needed didn't have to bring anything extra for our stay besides our own food. Very clean and quiet. Great location to the town of canmore and banff.

They are advertising 4 Rooms- per room 2 beds each, its big apartments on April 17th we booked, for August 3-8 for 5 nights for 9 people, we paid for $6100.00 When we arrive they give to us 2 small units, per unit 2 rooms 1 beds each, so they cheat to us and we paid lots of money for 2 small units, we speak to the Managment team but he didn’t help us, we are very disappoint about this situation, we try to get money from them, they give only $500

Der var nogle kæmpe huller på lokationens vej, så man skal holde grundigt øje og passe på sin bil.

Wir waren hier für zwei Nächte. Da wir zwei Ehepaare sind, fanden wir es sehr angenehm, dass es zusätzlich zu dem gemeinsamen Bad im Erdgeschoss, eine Gästetoilette mit Dusche gab. Es war im Großen und Ganzen sauber, und in der Küche war alles notwendige vorhanden. Toll fanden wir, dass im Garten ein Gasgrill zur eigenen Benutzung zur Verfügung stand. Dies war unsere erste Unterkunft, in der in den Steckdosen zusätzlich ein USB-Anschluss integriert war. Wir würden die Unterkunft jederzeit wieder buchen.

Als wir ankamen, war im Bad im Obergeschoss das Eckventile für den Kaltwasserzulauf vom Waschbecken geschlossen.

We absolutely loved our 2-night stay at Banff Woods Lodge during our trip to Banff. The location is perfect—peaceful and surrounded by beautiful nature, yet incredibly convenient for exploring the town and the national park. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and cozy, making it the perfect place to unwind after a long day of sightseeing. Highly recommend staying here if you're visiting Banff! We will definitely be back.

Location and views are really good. Already felt like home when I stepped in. The house is well maintained and has almost everything we need.

Quiet and clean and great location. Everything we needed was included. Cookware, dishes, spices, laundry soap, barbecue. Check-in was seamless.

Limited cleaning products available, such as dish washing tablets, hand soap was rationed, limited toilet roll. Fixtures and fittings need attention. Taxidermy unnecessary in the bedroom. Unable to wear shoes in the house. Location not for us as facilities are a drive away.

WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE. Gorgeous two bedroom vacation home for a price comparable to a single room. Contactless check in/check out, cozy interiors and outdoor patio with fireplace. 11/10 would recommend

The placed is nice, cleaned, and quite. We are so relaxed during our stay, everything was working from kitchen down to heating/cooling sytem. Our visitor from other country was thankful and appreciate the place so much and defenitely go back.

Not dont like but a suggestion: 1. In house/room 231 the bathroom down stair need a rack/shelves for containers (shampoo,body wash, etc.) so that, it was not laying on the floor. 2. Replaced the chairs that was already out of place. It was racking when you seat. 3. The sofa bed need to be replace or fixed, to its waivy feeling of the mattress and hard to put it back.

À notre arrivée, nous avons contacté les responsables car le ménage a été effectué plutôt rapidement : pâte à dent sur les armoires des salles de bains, poussière dans les coins et les bordures des murs, des insectes écrasés sur les murs par les locataires précédents, frigo sale et une empreinte de mains sur les murs... Voir les photos jointes. Le responsable nous a contactés pour nous informer qu'il avait envoyé une personne en notre absence et que l'unité était propre.

We enjoyed the location and the little loft for the 9 year old. There was easy access to all the areas that we wanted to visit. The rooms were clean.

The places that we have stayed in the past were more accommodating in regards to staples in the kitchen, cleaning service, and resources. The kitchen was not as updated as we are used to.

A decent little place with a good shower, comfy beds and a nice seating area for eating and relaxing. Easy to check in and parking worked well. It was a good location between Canmore and Banff, allowing us to visit both without a long journey (less than 20 minutes).

The bear skin, stuffed beaver and canada goose upstairs were unsettling with no previous warning. Some flaws in facilities include the absence of a sink drainer and only one oven tray.

The location is very good

Upon arrival at 5 pm, the room was not cleaned. I had to wait 2.5 hours for it to be cleaned, which was done hastily and left a mediocre impression. There were no sheets for the bunk bed, and the bath soap was almost empty. Additionally, pipes were leaking at the stairwell. To make matters worse, a Southeast Asian man barged into the unit at 10 am on the last day, claiming it was his unit. This poor coordination between move-in and move-out procedures left me feeling frustrated.

Upstairs bed in mezzanine was very stained. Do not like having no front staff available. Will chose accommodation with personnel available next time. Very expensive for very little service.

Great location just 8 minutes from Canmore and a short drive to Banff. Easy access to the highway. Ask for a room at the back to avoid highway noise. The unit was spacious with two bedrooms and two bathrooms. The front bedroom has a balcony. There were toiletries provided. WiFi was good. Salt, pepper are provided and there was a good sharp knife. The unit was warm on one cold June day. We really appreciated the large washer and dryer and TV. Plenty of parking.

I needed to ask for the unit number and door access code. No toilet paper in one bathroom. One dish towel was provided but not enough for a four night stay. Some Teflon pots and pans were too scratched to use. An unexpected Xmas tree in the living room in June.

Super convenient location for Banff National Park, Canmore, and IFP without the price tag, very clean, well equipped.

Heating seemed permanently on even when we turned to minimum, but opened a few windows and all was equalised.

The location was good for going between Banff and Canmore areas. Perfect size for 4 people and having 2 washrooms was awesome!

All was perfect

The Canmore location was great. The owner was swiftly getting back with questions and repairswhen our doorjam broke and toilet clogged the first day. The facility was clean. We loved being able to wash and dry clothes. Not having to buy bear spray was a bonus also.

Mugs were too small, and the air conditioners needed attention. We reported this when we left. He acted like they would make adjustments.

Location was good near to the gondola and all the amenities as given in the advertisement. I am vegetarian and I always like to eat homemade food. It was fantastic for me .

This 2-bedroom unit was exactly as advertised - perfect setup for a visit to Canmore and Banff. The heated floors and fireplace were appreciated, as the home was warm throughout our visit. Comfortable beds and a well-supplied kitchen made for a restful stay. Great value for what we paid.

Very tiny and was so dirty when we came

Location was 11 km from Banff , very close to Hwy 1 with plenty of parking spots.

The furnace was very noisy when started made the attached bedroom wall trembling. For that reason we kept the furnace off during night and woke up frozen.

I loved Canmore like a much smaller Banff and with a car easily get to what you want to see

It was really good if I'm picky the fan in the laundry was a bit loud but didn't impact our stay, and I would rather have the fan and the laundry it is a great place

Canmore and Banff are amazing places, and this property is super close to both of them to allow the guest to explore everything without the super long commute. The property is also great, comfortable, and the attention to details from the owner is amazing.

Great location and quick responses from the host on all of our questions (on accessing the unit and the pilot light). Was a great value - nice size, and beautiful location and proximity to Banff without the price tag!

Incorrect door access code upon check-in, but the host was quick to respond with the updated access code information (within just a minute or two!).

We made our own breakfast, we didn't order breakfast. Location was great.

If the beds would have been more comfortable our stay would have been top notch.

the house itself and the location just outside the national park was perfect.

'fussy' house rules - no shoes, put the towels in the laundry. check in was shambolic. Multiple whatsapp messages and phone calls to get # of the unit and lockbox code. very stressful.

Nice house for staying in Banff area. Only took us ~15mins to Banff. Facilities are great. They have two washrooms which is good for groups.

Hair dryer is not working properly. It could only work in lower output.
