Gilly's Gallery at Breda's Grote Markt

Fab spacious loft apartment that was perfect for our short stay in Breda. I loved the quirkiness and it is literally slap bang in the centre. The staff were so attentive too.

Centrale locatie, ruime opzet, sfeervol, gescheiden slaapruimtes met voldoende ruimte voor kleding. Lekkere douche. Je moet wel tegen het geluid kunnen van de cafés in de straat (tot 1 uur). Ons stoorde het niet zo.

Uitrusting was wat minder compleet (zeker gezien de prijs). Föhn ontbrak. Het kon wat schoner. Afvoer wasbak was verstopt.

De staff is supervriendelijk en behulpzaam. Daarnaast is de locatie echt top: gezellig in hartje Breda.

Wij zijn inmiddels voor de derde keer hier geweest en hadden gehoopt op wat vernieuwingen en beter onderhoud. Helaas waren er deze keer meerdere gebreken: de leuning van de trap zit los, de stang van het bad en de wc-kraan zitten los, de wastafel loopt snel vol, de waterkoker is kapot en gaat niet uit, en er is geen magnetron. Ook is er weinig keukengerei aanwezig. Daarnaast hangt er bij het openen van de badkamerdeur een sterke rioollucht. Jammer, want het huis lijkt helaas steeds minder goed onderhouden. Wij komen hier jaarlijks ivm ons festival weekend en hadden dit keer gehoopt op een spiegel. Want het is heel gedoe om in het kleine ronde spiegeltje te kijken en steeds op een stoel te staan.

Fijne locatie,tussen het shoppen door konden we even onze aankopen boven zetten. vriendelijke host,goed contact mee te krijgen mocht er iets zijn. Gezellige inrichting,ruime koelkast,wasmachine&droger,lekkere bedden,er zijn 2 ventilatoren aanwezig en de ramen kunnen goed open. Tv prima ontvangst en Netflix🙂

Er moeten wat dingen nagekeken worden,er zijn geen borden en bekers,de kraan van het bad zit los,de waterkoker gaat niet vanzelf uit,die moet vervangen worden. Let wel op want het zijn 3 smalle trappen en er is geen lift. Ook als je slecht te been bent is het lastig om boven te komen

Hele fijne ligging midden in de stad, Je stap de deur uit en alles zit dichtbij. Personeel was heel vriendelijk en heeft al me vragen beantwoord.

Läget var fantastiskt och städningen var bra. Sköna sängar och bra med tvättmaskin.

Bland annat fanns det många fläckar på väggarna, färg som hade krackelerat på flera ställen samt sådant som gav intryck av möjliga fuktskador. Vi saknade också flera praktiska detaljer, exempelvis tillräckliga avlastningsytor och krokar i badrummet. Toalettpappret tog slut och det fanns ingen handtvål. Utöver detta hade vi problem med myror i lägenheten. Det var något vi inte hade förväntat oss, särskilt eftersom boendet ligger högst upp i ett lägenhetshus.

O apartamento não tinha Panelas. Escorredor de macarrão. A mix não funcionava . O lavadoura de louca não funcionou. Não tinha detergente. Sabão em pó. Todos os aparelhos estavam empoeirados . Sujos .foi uma decepção. Pois ja tínhamos ficado lá . Nem o vinho nos ofereceram . Nâo tinha vassoura

The apartment was very cute. Comfortable seating. Location was great !

The stairs were horrendous. I knew there was three flights, but each flight gets steeper, narrower and difficult. You need to be young ! Don't have heavy luggage ! wi-fi was not the best. Kitchen not equiped properly. (one wok type pan ,no toaster, few plates, etc.

The location was good and the property presented well.

The blinds would not open. The coffee machine had not been emptied of spent pods. The damage waiver and payment was excessive and unexpected. Access to the property was only available via information on an external link. There was no-one available to assist with suitcases as promised.

De locatie is echt super! Het appartement is ruimtelijk en voorzien van prima voorzieningen. Communicatie verliep ook goed via de app

Die Lage ist perfekt. Man kann außerhalb des Stadtrings parken und dann zur Unterkunft laufen. Am Markt ist es natürlich etwas lauter, aber das war kein Problem. Für ein verlängertes WE sehr geeignet. Es gab Kaffee, Tee, Spülmaschinen-Tabs, etc. Die Unterkunft war auf jeden Fall sauber und die Betten sind bequem.

Die Ausstattung ist ein wenig sporadisch. Der Gasherd ist maximal überdimensioniert, da es nur eine Pfanne gibt :) Die Bäder sind okay, die Waschtische sind etwas nervig und sehen leider nur gut aus. Tut einem schönen Wochenende aber keinen Abbruch :)

Helaas zat de vaatwasser vol vieze vaat van de vorige bezoekers en bleek deze ook nog eens niet te werken. Afkopen van schade is bedrog. Gewoon verstopte kosten waarmee je na het bowlen wordt geconfronteerd. Nog nooit zoiets meegemaakt.

De locatie

Ik had gehoopt zelf een maaltijd te kunnen bereiden. Helaas, er waren wel koekenpannen, maar slechts 1 gewone pan, zonder deksel en loszittende handvatten. Bij het bed ontbrak een plankje o.i.d. om je bril of boek op te leggen en er waren geen leeslampjes. De gordijnen aan de voorkant kunnen niet open. Best vervelend op een mooie zonnige dag. Bed was lekker, bank ook, de rest maakte een beetje een sleetse indruk.

Leuk appartement op fijne locatie in het centrum. Gezellig ingericht, comfortabel bed en goede douche. Zodra je de voordeur uitstapt sta je midden in het centrum van Breda. Treinstation op kwartiertje loopafstand. Houd wel rekening met steile, smalle trappen, maar voor ons was dat geen punt.

Er zijn wat dingetjes aan vervanging/reparatie toe.

Loved Gillys Gallery. Great apartment, very comfortable, clean and perfect central location. Will definitely be back as soon as possible!

Ottimo rapporto qualità/prezzo. Appartamento pulito. Letto confortevole. Ritorneremo? Certamente.

De locatie is perfect. Makkelijk te bereiken met de auto. Het bad, gezelligheid van de cafeetjes beneden. De bedden liggen heerlijk en het is voor ons 27 min rijden naar ons jaarlijks festivalletje van 3 dagen. Wij komen volgend jaar weer terug! Dit was ons 2e keer hier en hebben genoten!

Hang een spiegeltje op, wat extra keukengerei en misschien een magnetron.

The host is super helpful and nice, everything went so easily. The apartment is a hidden jewerly box in the middle of the centre. I really enjoyed my time here. Thank you😊

Location Comfortable beds

Very nice style and decoration, top floor of a traditional builiding with much light (roof windows) and open space. Careful: this is a STUDIO (one single space) with one double bed downstairs and another one on a higher level. Perfect for group of friends, family with kids, or similar that do not mind sharing the same physical space.

The description text indicated two bedrooms plus common space, which was evidently wrong and not adequate for two colleagues travelling together. The owners acknowledged the error and found a solution for the following day.

The pictures of the keybox just showed a key and we found out later that the key code was "hidden" further down the screen where you had to scroll off the page. In the moment this was annoying and if the code had been on display more prominently would have been better, other than that everything was perfect

Perfect location, we could separate with one of the two beds on the gallery. The flat is relatively big and cosy.

Difficult to reach the flat through the narrow and high spiral stairs to the 2nd floor with no elevator. There was not enough space even for a person with a small suitcase and we needed two hands to support ourselves to get down safely (so suitcases could be brought step by step in both directions). Definetely not for people with coordination issues or disability (we had no such issues with my colleague). The street was a bit noisy during the night and the bed extremely soft (I had a back pain after the night). But except for these difficulties, there was no problems. It took for a while to receive an invoice afterwards (several messages without a reply), even if I fixed it while booking that we will need an invoice. But finally we received one.

Very good location, on the Grote Markt. Right in the center of the old city. Top storey apartment. Modern quirky apartment. Very bright and well furnished.

Check-in not straightforward. Got a text on the morning with a code for a lockbox, contacted by other person associated with with property who said she would normally like to welcome guests but would not be able to do so so she also gave the lock box code number. When we arrived at the accommodation there were four Lock Boxes at the side of the door but we did not know which one it was. Nothing to indicate which was ours. Had to text the contact number who told us to use lock box number to use, thankfully they did reply very quickly.. There were four apartments in the building so maybe they are all Gilly's Gallery and we just got one of them has there was cleaning done in some of them during our stay. We should have been told beforehand which lock box number to use or if they were concerned about security they should have advised us that we would need to contact them on arrival. We arrived just after start of check-in-time but had I arrived on my own late at night it would have been a difficulty for me. It would also have been a difficulty for people who are not handy with lockboxes.

The extremely friendly and helpful staff. The location! The deep bath! The bottle of wine! Comfortable beds. Washing machine and dryer. Dish tabs! Everything!

Nothing. I would suggest no guests that struggle with multiple stairs to book😉

We absolutely loved our time at Gilly’s Gallery. The space itself is so beautiful and the location is fantastic. Thank you to the hosts for making our stay so wonderful!

The host was incredibly nice, the property is in the center of the city, the apartment is well-equipped and has very comfortable beds, thank you for hosting us, everything was lovely
