Damp room and the constant loud truck noises all night

Everything. Especially the person at the reception. Such a nice friendly person. She even helped to print maps for me. Gave a bottle of fresh cow milk.

Great hints from lady host to head into Otorohanga for roast meat restaurant takeaway. Tenderest lamb ever. Lovely lady owner.

A true blast from the past. Beautifully clean units and functional. Peacefull, and no street lights shining through the windows

Bed was a touch hard for our liking, but the peacefullness made up for that

Good value for what we paid, will stay again

The proprietor was really friendly and gave excellent advice of place’s to go, which we did. The Marokopa Falls are definitely worth going to. Out of three places we stayed this was the only one that fridge worked properly.

More comfy outdoor chairs.

The unit lacked cleanliness and the shower water pressure was non existent. We had no replacement of coffee or sugar

The room itself was clean and well maintained and adequately appointed. However outside the unit was very untidy and we felt anxious driving up and going to the office because of the outside appearance particularly entrance and yard.

We were relieved to find the unit clean and adequate for our one night stay.

Everything we could need was there including a small bottle of milk for our coffee/tea. Absolutely immaculate. We arrived late and we had a notice which was our room, name on the door, and everything ready. Full kitchen made us wish we could stay longer.

Host was lovely, so helpful and informative about the area. Room a bit dated but clean and comfortable, amenities all included, great for one night stay to see the Glow worms 🪱

A little noisy being pretty close to main hway, trucks start very early. Ear plugs worked a treat

A beautifully located motel near the glowworm caves. The welcome was very warm and the room was spacious and clean. The kitchen was well equipped.

The room was poorly insulated, so it was a bit cold.

The location was good, the manager was friendly and knowledgeable of the area. The room was clean, but a little dated.

The manager was very welcoming and helpful with telling us about all the activities that were near by and provided a map. He told us all able the free natural wonders that we could drive to: the natural brigde, a cave and a bush walk, which we loved. Also he gave us excellent recommendations for food places in the area. The unit was clean, bed was comfortable and the unit had all we needed. There was a laundry which would have been good if we stayed longer.

Shower had great water pressure but took a while to get hot.

The motel grounds were all over grown. No air con or even a fan for heat. Couldn't find a pool. We left and did not stay. Great for back Packers

The location was good for visiting the caves.

The room was quite warm when we checked in and there was only a fan to cool it down. Also, it was very near the highway and the road noise continued all night.

Kitchen was well equipped. Good location for visiting the area. Good facilities for cooking and washing.

Would be good to have block out curtains.

Clean basic family accommodation, value for money not far from Glow worm caves, kids enjoyed the pool.

Property is conveniently located just up the road from the well known Waitomo glow worm caves, perfect if you’re looking for a place to stay a night or two around visiting the caves. What stood out the most was the owners amazing service! Upon arrival we were given the full run down on the area, including recommendations on places to eat, additional inside knowledge and guidance around extra places to visit and explore for no cost outside of the paid tours on offer

Very clean the beds were very comfortable and the linen was crisp and clean

We had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The accommodation was clean, tidy, and comfortable.

The motel was in a great location for hiking in the local area.

A little bit old, but that didn't actually bother me.

An old motel but well looked after inside and clean. The family room was exceptional with a bedroom with 4 beds in addition to double bed in large main living area.

Not many places for a morning run. Other than that - all was great.

The location was ideal for our visit. The price suited our budget. It was quiet, comfortable and had what we expected for a stay.

The noise from the highway disturbed our sleep the entire night. When the trucks drive past, the room shakes ever so slightly.

Very clean room with large bathroom and separate kitchen area. The owner is very friendly and helpful. Excellent laundry facilities. It’s an older property and looks a bit run down, but inside is well maintained and clean. Convenient for Waitomo cave attractions provided you have a car.

Might be a bit noisy because it’s near a highway.

Bare bones but comfy and close to caves. Owner's cats visited us in the morning while we were packing up. That was great.

A few flies/gnats/spiders in the restroom.

La highway juste à côté du motel est parcourue toute la nuit par des gros camions qui utilisent leur frein moteur, très bruyant, pour ralentir à cause d'un virage. Et l’isolation phonique de la chambre est nulle.

Location to glow worm caves

Old, although it was very clean, it felt old and dirty

It's comfortable, though not particularly new. The host offers free attractions that will stay with you for a long time. It's worth taking advantage of.

The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the ;location was excellent. The hosts were very accommodating and took our late arrival in stride. If I'm ever passing through the area again, I'll definitely look for availability at the Glow Worm Motel.

Good location for the Waitomo Caves. Quite well-equipped kitchen, although very dated and basic. Clean and tidy

Outside spaces were quite scabby and untidy

Place is very convenient. It was very clean and well maintained. The kitchenette was very handy.

The owner is super friendly, he also gave us milk for the morning which was super cute. Easy check in and check out. Room clean, Bed and pillows are comfortable. Location just 5 minutes by car from the caves.

Too much light passing through the curtains

The motel was good value for money for an overnight stay.
