Beautiful place to stay in Kandy. A short drive up the hill you will find Kandy Tree Tops nestled in a beautiful garden. Fantastic breakfast and the friendliest of staff. Don't go anywhere else!

スリランカでは停電はよくあるため、「ホテルの良くない点」と言うよりは「スリランカで生じ得る不都合」ではあるが、夜に数秒間の停電があった。

La struttura è una bellissima guest house su kandy. La camera era pulita e lo staff super gentile e disponibile. Colazione abbondante e molto buona.

Suggerirei soltanto di sistemare un po’ la doccia, ma non presenta problemi particolari.

Our only thing which would have improved our stay was having a key fob for the gate to be able to come and go as we please rather than waiting for a staff member to open for us (although this was always super quick)

We had a very pleasant stay at Kandy Tree Tops. The room was clean, and the staff were exceptionally friendly, welcoming, and always happy to help. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would recommend this place.

One small suggestion for improvement: guests should be informed in advance if paying by credit card incurs a 3.5% surcharge. If card payment is offered, it would be better if there were no additional fee.

We had the most beautiful stay at Kandy Tree Tops.The accommodation was peaceful, spotless, and thoughtfully designed with so many lovely touches throughout. The gardens were absolutely stunning — lush, tranquil, and perfectly maintained, creating such a relaxing atmosphere from the moment we arrived. Breakfast was fresh, delicious, and beautifully presented, with plenty of variety and quality ingredients. Sitting amongst the gardens while enjoying breakfast was a highlight of our stay. The warmth and care from the hosts and staff, made everything even more special. A truly memorable place that we would happily return to and highly recommend.

The family suite downstairs was such a gem — a lovely living area connecting two spacious bedrooms, both looking out over the front yard. The front yard is absolutely lush with stunning valley views, and the whole property is beautifully layered with plants and flowers that make it feel like a little paradise. The owner and staff are the warmest, most welcoming people we’ve encountered on our trip so far. Highly recommend!

The air conditioner was very noisy, so we couldn’t sleep with it on, and because of that the room was very stuffy. There was no air conditioner at all in the second room. There was no shower gel, toothbrushes, toothpaste, etc. The shampoo was strange.

The most beautiful property my wife and I stayed at in our trip to Sri Lanka. The owners are absolutely top notch, so helpful and chatty. Really can’t recommend this place enough.

This place is a slice of paradise away from the hustle and bustle of Kandy. The rooms are great, clean, staff very friendly and the breakfast is amazing. I arrived here in the morning after a long flight. The owner welcomed me, served me some light breakfast and helped me plan the day. He also gave me an upgrade, due to the war in Iran, people had cancelled and I asked if I could have a room on the upper floor. In order to get into town, you have to take a tuktuk, but it is so worth it to be a bit away from the city. I highly recommend this place if you come to Kandy.

Check in and checkout was smooth, the staff were welcoming and friendly and the surrounds were simply stunning! The hosts were welcoming and accommodating.

There could have been a fan in the main room and a small table. We ate dinner sitting on the lounge chairs and were balancing the plates on our knees. The air conditioning was available in the bedrooms and there was no fan or cooling in the lounge area.

Driving through Kandy in a tuk tuk can be a little stressful. Arriving at Kandy Tree Tops is like a literal breath of fresh air above the fray and pollution. Greeted by a smiling and helpful staff, we were immediately welcomed in to Upul's oasis. Our room was massive and comfortable with a wonderful view over the city. Great care has been given to the grounds and dining area where our meals were second to none. Every detail was attended to as we enjoyed delicious, authentic tastes of the region. We would not hesitate to return.

We loved our stay here and wouldn't change a thing. Upul, his family and staff are very good at what they do and made us feel exceptionally welcome into their home.

Our stay at Kandy Tree Tops was perfect!! Waking up and enjoying breakfast under the gardens and listening to the birds was so peaceful! The staff went above and beyond organising an amazing driver for us and the breakfast was so generous. We were able to enjoy a traditional Sri Lankan breakfast too!

A safe and some additional pillows on the bed would’ve been great to have but it wasn’t a massive problem for us :)

If we could give this property six stars we would. Our hosts were the most warm and welcoming couple, whose hospitality and kindness touched our hearts. Upul, smiley and softy-spoken, greeted us with tea and brownies, home-baked by his wife Baghya; vivacious, petite, generous - and a supremely good cook. Our rooms - we had two adjoining - were huge and spotlessly clean. Breakfast is served on a covered terrace overlooking the lush tropical garden: the fresh fruit platter, pancakes, omelette and dahl curry sustained us during a busy day sightseeing in Kandy. There’s plenty to see within a short drive: the bustling old town’s central market, the Temple of the Tooth - expect long queues if you want to glimpse the stupa containing the tooth - and traditional Sri Lankan dancing. Our favourite was the Botanical Garden.

Our stay at Kandy Tree Tops was absolutely perfect — there was truly nothing lacking in comfort, service, or hospitality. Every detail was thoughtfully taken care of, making our experience exceptional. i must mention the break fast menu, it was out of the world.

Amazing little oasis tucked out of view. Nice rooms, good value for money, short Tuc Tuc ride into the main places in Kandy. We were only there one night and it was certainly perfect for a stopover. You go through the hustle and bustle of Kandy, travel a few hundred yards off the main road and seem to leave it all behind.

Upul and his staff are incredible hosts, who are some of the friendliest people I have had the pleasure of meeting. The property is beautiful and a lovely escape from the business of Kandy city. An incredible breakfast is provided each day. I would absolutely recommend staying at this property if you are visiting Kandy, we will certainly be back!

We had an amazing stay in Kandy. The hotel is very close to a main road with all amenities, but at the same time in a very quiet corner. Once you enter the property, you're basically in a paradise. The room was spotless, the breakfast extremely tasty and varied, and the staff extremely welcoming. Upul, the owner, is a star, and gave us excellent recommendations for restaurants, and some tips on how to structure our tour.

Our stay at Kandy tree tops was fantastic! The location is a little out of town, but you are situated on the hill side with wonderful views and it’s a lovely opportunity to see different side of Kandy. The staff were amazing, anything we needed they provided so quickly and kindly and the breakfast was incredible. There was a really lovely atmosphere at Kandy tree tops and the facilities were fantastic. We will definitely be staying here again the next time we visit Kandy!

Ruhige Lage an einem Hang etwas außerhalb der Innenstadt in einem überaus gepflegten Garten, sehr einladende, gut ausgestattete Zimmer mit teilweise Sicht über die Stadt, bemühter, freundlicher Service.

Die Lage ist ungünstig für Erkundungen in der Stadt (in 200-300 m stehen aber Tuk-Tuks). Kaum Restaurants im näheren Umkreis. Das bestellte „englische Frühstück“ war eher enttäuschend (Obst, Eier, Toast), es gibt kein Abendessen. Erst nach der Buchung erfährt man einige „Regeln“ - Frühstück bis 9.00 Uhr (!), Zahlung nur Cash oder mit Kreditkarte zuzüglich 3,5 % . Netter, aber reservierter Empfang nach Hinweis, dass solche „Regeln“ für uns eher unfreundlich wirken.

L'emplacement : accessible uniquement en véhicule, un logement type appartement, froid. Bouchons d'oreilles obligatoire: aucune isolation, chiens aboyant toute la nuit, évacuation d'eau dans une des 2 chambres..

Wonderful hosts, so thoughtful, excellent breakfast. Speedy laundry service. They cooked us a delicious dinner on short notice and even gave us some homemade treats to take with us the day we left.

Wir hatten einen wundervollen Aufenthalt im Kandy Tree Tops. Wir waren leider nur eine Nacht hier, aber es war die bislang schönste und beste Unterkunft auf unserer Sri Lanka Reise. Das Grundstück ist vollständig umzäunt und eine grüne Oase oberhalb der Stadt. Man hat von hier einen tollen Blick und kann dem ganzen Stadttrubel vollständig entfliehen. Wir wurden sehr freundlich empfangen und willkommen geheißen. Zur Begrüßung gab es einen frischen Saft sowie einen kleinen Snack. Alle Mitarbeiter und auch der Eigentümer waren sehr zuvorkommend und sehr bemüht, um uns einen wundervollen Aufenthalt zu bereiten. Sie gaben uns viele wertvolle Informationen für Aktivitäten und Sehenswürdigkeiten sowie Restaurants in der Stadt. Wir erhielten auf Wunsch ein srilankanisches Frühstück bestehend aus frischem Obst (teilweise aus eigenem Anbau), Hähnchen Curry, Linsen Dal und Roti. Es war sensationell! Wahlweise gab es Tee oder Kaffee - wir würden den Tee definitiv empfehlen! Unser Zimmer war sehr groß geschnitten, sauber und sehr komfortabel. Auch das Badezimmer war sehr sauber und modern eingerichtet. Die Dusche hatte einen sehr guten Wasserdruck. Von der Unterkunft gelangt man in wenigen Minuten mit dem Tuk-Tuk in die Stadt bzw. zu sämtlichen Sehenswürdigkeiten.

Die Matratze war ein wenig zu hart, aber das ist nur unser individuelles Empfinden. Sonst war alles perfekt :)

This hotel exceeded all expectations. The location is perfect- quiet and peaceful, yet still close to the city. The views are stunning, the breakfast is amazing, and the staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. Everything was spotless and very modern, and honestly, it looked even better than in the pictures. A truly fantastic stay.

We had a very comfortable stay at Tree Tops. The owner provided a useful guide and knew the best spots to eat and shop. I booked this hotel for our honeymoon, and the owners decorated our room for the special occasion. The room was comfortable with great views. Breakfast was amazing every morning.

Tolle Unterkunft, tolles Zimmer & Bad (das beste was wir in 3 Wochen Sri Lanka hatten) ein kleines grünes Paradies, sehr leckeres Frühstück. Sehr zu empfehlen! Schade, dass wir nur eine Nacht da waren.

Located within a short Tuk Tuk ride to all Kandy’s sights, Kandy Tops is a quiet oasis of peace. The owner Upul was very hospitable and offered us a welcome drink while checking in. He was very helpful and accommodating throughout our stay. We booked the junior suite which turned out to be a whole apartment. My wife enjoyed the bathtub with the view of Kandy’s hills. The property is amazingly well maintained, clean and in top shape. We loved the array of fresh fruit at breakfast. Would definitely recommend staying here when visiting this busy city.

There was a Google maps glitch that took us to the wrong address. It was quickly resolved when our driver phoned the hotel.

What was not to like, they surprised and gave us a bigger then expected room. Well it was a whole apartment, so much room and very clean. The hospitality from the staff and owner were just so good, everything was done from the heart. Really recommend staying here if your coming ti Kandy.

Everything was absolutely amazing and the entire family of six adults agreed that this was the best accommodation that we had in Sri Lanka. The hotel is beautiful ,spotlessly clean and comfortable . The beds are very comfortable and the shower was great too.Breakfast was huge and delicious .The owner ,Mr Ubul, showed us so much kindness and was extremely helpful . Our stay was brief ,however thanks to the interaction with host and the entire staff felt very meaningful and memorable .

Un chambre/appartement très vaste avec des sanitaires tout confort et parfaitement propres. L'accueil d'une immense gentillesse et le petit déjeûner féérique pour le matin de noël pris sur la très jolie terrasse sur les hauteurs de Kandy.

Les chambres en elle-mêmes sont aménagées à l'occidentale, sans grand charme. Par contre, nous avons pu prendre une douche "comme à la maison", un grand confort.

A lovely hotel nestled on the side of a hill overlooking Kandy. All the staff and the owner were so friendly and always offered help and advice. The room was great and the included breakfast was good and plentiful. Easy tuk tuk into town using PickMe or Uber for a couple of hundred LKR. I would definitely recommend if staying in Kandy

Very friendly owner Upul, his wife, and the helpful staff. We had great conversations with Upul and the team and received excellent advice on activities and restaurants in Kandy. Exceptional breakfast with fresh fruit, eggs, bread, and pancakes for our son, plus lovely extras prepared by his wife (cupcakes, tuna balls, etc.). Quiet and convenient location, only about 2 km from town.

Lugnt och fint läge i en stad med bitvis väldigt intensiv trafik. Som en oas i staden. Exceptionellt välkomnande värd och ägare. Vi kände oss verkligen omhändertagna. Fantastisk frukost med väldigt personlig service. Väldigt stort och fint rum, junior suite. Välstädat med lyxig känsla.

Nackdelen med det lugna läget är taxiresa på typ 20 minuter om man vill ta sig till centrum. Går dock fint, både Pickme och Uber fungerar väl.

Kandy Tree Tops innfridde alle forventninger. Vi elsket virkelig å bo på dette stedet, og skulle gjerne vært der mange flere netter. Beliggenheten er perfekt. Godt å trekke seg litt unna byen, og opp i tretoppene. Rolige omgivelse, fin utsikt og kun en Tuktuk unna Kandy sentrum. Personalet er vennlige og personlige, og ønsker å gi oss en god opplevelse. Frokosten var den aller aller beste, både barna og oss voksne elsket den. Romslig leilighet og baderom. Og den aller beste dusjen på Sri Lanka (varmt og godt vanntrykk). Wifi funker utmerket. Skulle gjerne vært der en hel uke. Anbefales på det varmeste!

Zimmer war sehr groß und geräumig. Sehr gutes Frühstück auf einer schönen Terrasse. Wenn man möchte, kann man hier ein wenig schaukeln 😆 Personal ist sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Glaube auch, dass da 24 Stunden jemand zur Verfügung steht. Der Besitzer gibt auch gute Tipps für Sehenswürdigkeiten und Touren, da er selber mal Touristenführer war.

Lage ist ziemlich weit oben. Wenn man mit einem Tuktuk anreist, ist dass schon mal eine kleine Herausforderung. Auch ein paar Tuktuk-Taxen wollten da nicht hinbringen.

This boutique hotel was a little oasis in the busy city of Kandy. We stayed 2 nights in the junior suite on the top floor. The rooms and grounds were absolutely beautiful. The staff were outstanding. The service and hospitality provided by all staff at Kandy Tree Tops was excellent. The owner gave us recommendations for things to do, restaurants to eat at, and helped us to organise a laundry service. The two breakfast’s we had were both fantastic. We absolutely recommend this hotel.

Amazing staff and owner; room was incredible - views to die for even from the bath or shower. Really good value to get this kind of luxury at this price point. Breakfast was BY FAR the best we had in Sri Lanka and they even gave us some wrapped Christmas cake to go. Spotlessly clean, very comfortable beds.

Some very small things - we had the big suite but there was limited crockery. And during the night there was no water which might have been due to the hurricane.

Wir haben die Transferzeiten in Kandy unterschätzt. Wer es ruhiger möchte, ist hier richtig. Wir würden beim nächsten Mal etwas zentraleres buchen.

Lovely comfortable and spacious room with a bathtub overlooking kandy. One night turned into two while we were waiting for the cyclone to pass. Upul and his wife were very accommodating and looked after us during the power cuts etc. delicious meals. Good location although we didn’t venture out while we stayed. Helpful host that looked after us every step of the way.

Kandy Tree Tops is a delightful boutique hotel with beautiful gardens, offering true tranquility in a quiet neighborhood. The peaceful setting allowed us the luxury of sleeping with the windows open. The service provided by the owners and staff was exceptional—they were attentive to every detail and always willing to help. Rooms were comfortable and lovely, and the abundant, delicious breakfast was a perfect start to each day. Highly recommended for a relaxing stay with genuine hospitality.

We stay basement so wasn’t so pleasant. Very large apartment with few furniture not giving good feeling. In the bad room part windows without curtains - we couldn’t sleep since sunrise. Also many pillars inside destroy good energy. I do believe there are much better rooms, unfortunately we took best offer / wasn’t good choice.

The breakfast can be improved with varieties. The location is a bit tricky and you will have to travel through narrow roads. SUVs may have trouble getting through.

Comfortable stay with generous, friendly hosts who helped us to enjoy our three night stay in Kandy immensely. Apul and team were friendly and helpful and provided us with excellent advice and a number of extras. Breakfast was delicious and the setting overlooking the garden was very relaxing. We stayed in the two bedroom family apartment-this was a great choice after a week of travelling as it provided us with extra room and a lovely terrace to spend time in with a great view. Highly Recommend!
