the place was clean and everything you’ll need is there.
I highly recommended this to my friends from davao who like to visit surigao . My girlfriend like the kitchen also you can do laundry . Its safe also and the neighbors its very friendly . I like to thank also to jhustin for helping us to extend to stay .
I liked the location somewhat only late at night and early in the morning it was loud didn't really hear any talks or birds or trikes at that I did like the privacy wall and the fact that we were able to rent a scooter for 350 a day or even cheaper if you rent it for a week or even cheaper if you rent it for 2 to 3 weeks or even cheaper if you rent it for a month there was a little problem with the pressure of the water other than that I think everything was great oh the washer for the clothes in the dryer for the clothes were extremely loud but good thing that they had a heavy door to muffle most of the sound All in all I give it an 8 out of 10 good price decent location not too far from sharagal City I was able to go into city multiple times not have to worry about traffic not having to worry about what I needed to eat for where I was going to get it
I didn't like that in the Baron guy there's a couple of people that have negotiations businesses per se that right around with huge speakers blasting early in the morning and late at night their business and then a bunch of dogs that just roamed the streets trying to pick fights with other dogs that make them bark loudly yeah other than that it was pretty decent
Host was very responsive and solved small issues fast. The home itself is very comfortable and spacious, clean and quietly located. Best suited for two people.
The biggest issue is the water pressure and the water heater in the shower. The heater works not continuously. So the water changes always from cold to warm and cold again.
Best value ever for your money but Surigao is not a nice place. This place is a great place to be a home body for a few days before or after spend time on Siargao Island. Bonus: there is a bodega across the way that I bought from many times: eggs, beer, pancakes mix, laundry detergent, sugar.
If you are a westerner I doubt you will enjoy anything about Surigao(Shakeys Pizza was a flash back to my youth). But the villa with its high walls surrounding the villa and the out door deck with tv made me just want to hang out and watch Netflix and chill.
water is so slow
The best airbnb in town! I’m a local so I won’t be biased, but it’s really the best. The location is perfect, peaceful and remote. Far from the noise of the city. My partner and I loved the experience. Would rather book this than to go to a hotel. They even have a washing machine and dryer! All the comforts of home and more! Would definitely book again and will surely recommend.
The heater doesn’t work and the flow of the water from the sinks arent that strong. But it’s tolerable. Still good!
This home is absolutely beautiful. The design is aesthetically pleasing as well as highly functional. Easily the best place I have stayed in Surigao in 8 years. The hosts are so accommodating and even allowed late check out because we have a young son and were catching the late ferry. The staff helped us rent a motorbike and also sorted out internet for me during a brownout so I could keep working. It's so beautiful and quiet at night and just 10 mins to the mall. Highly recommend.
The Villa is so beautiful and very cozy. We appreciate the kids from the village and the nice kitchen. A amazing TV with Netflix and Amazon. Perfect for rainy days. All in all 10/10!
We couldn't extend our stay because the villa was already fully booked.
The house and grounds were excellent it felt like being at home
I liked everything about the place. The owner and staff are very helpful and responsive. Guests should be aware that the location is quite some distance from the city centre. However, several transport options are available at various price points. I would gladly stay here again in future visits to Surigao.
Quiet location with a secured gated block . Amazing outside area. Everything was exceptional from cleanliness to utilities. This villa has everything you need for longer term stays and all appliances are of the highest quality
Everything is great - including the neighbourhood of San Roque barangay - friendly, very local, with rice fields all around
The facilities of the property are worth the money. Their TV is a smart tv in the living room, there is another TV by the porch. The Airconditioning was comfortable considering how hot it is lately, the bathroom is great! Loving the design of the entire house actually. They have a first aid kit. They have a kitchen with complete condiments and spices so you can save up with food by cooking. They have a laundry room with washing machine and a dryer so no need to get your clothes to the laundry sho and just bring your own soap and fab con instead. They also offer a motorcycle to be rented so you can stroll along the beautiful city of Surigao and do a food trip.
The staff was friendly, however, there are just some concerns I felt that needs to be mentioned for a perfect staycation experience. The host was kind enough to mention that they can accommodate us for early check in at 1 pm so we went on as awe were also looking forward to doing our own laundry there early so we still can stroll along the city for a food trip. However, their staff ate was still in the laundry room around 1pm through almost 4 pm. That’s because she was doing her own laundry. We undress that those are needed for the sheets however after she was done, she did not change our sheets so I thought it was really not that urgent for her to get done. We didn’t have privacy for almost 3 hours and considering that we were leaving 6am the following day, she should have plenty if time to do it after we leave before their next guest would arrive. Also we noticed that the blanket, pillows and bedsheets were a bit dusty. My partner had an asthma attack in the morning. I hope you would make sure these linens were clean. And free of dusts. In the morning before I end my shift around 4am to 5am, there were power interruptions that happened twice so my work was disrupted. Better bring a backup for the wifi being lost during power interruptions. The great facilities overpowered the areas to improve in this stay. With that being addressed soon, it would have been a perfect experience. We will recommend this place to our friends and we will definitely come back.
Clean, spacious modern well equipped and beautiful
Everything was perfect!
We lived in this house for 2 months and it was a great time. The hosts and assistant were very responsive, helping with all issues, including making an appointment with a doctor and urgently purchasing sunburn creams. They provide a bike for rent and you can rent a car with a driver (for example, go to Tagana-an or distant beaches) for very reasonable money. The house is located in a village where very friendly people live, many understand English and can speak it. You can also get to Surigao city by tricycle from the main road (5 minutes walk to the road) in 7-10 minutes. Shopping centers, fruit and fish markets, and the airport are close, a 10-minute drive from the house. Fruits and fish can also be bought on the road. There are kiosks in the village where you can buy eggs and snacks. The house has everything you need: refrigerator, washing machine and dryer, 2 air conditioners, small appliances such as a toaster, rice cooker, hair dryer. There is a dispenser with cold water and hot water (water is delivered). The house is spacious, cozy and stylish. There is a veranda with furniture and a TV where you can relax. Because of there can be a poor pressure or lack of water in the region, there is a pump that always provides water and this does not create any problems. There are no problems with electricity (it was turned off once in 2 months for a couple of hours). The Internet is great, fast and problem-free (there was a failure for a couple of hours once in 2 months). Special thanks for the entertainment in the house: board games, Google speaker, TV and karaoke station. We really enjoyed singing! because Filipinos love to sing, you will often hear someone singing in the village. As it is written in the description of the house, of course, there are small ants in the kitchen area, so you need to constantly keep the kitchen clean and wash the surfaces so that they do not come in often. There are also small spiders that are harmless to humans.
The best place I've stayed in the Philippines. You actually have the entire villa to yourself. It is well furnished, anything you'd want in your home. I especially enjoyed doing my laundry because I was planning to pay for it in Cebu, but there is a cleaning machine, drier, and soap at the villa. The kitchen is fully furnished even though I didn't cook. It's well put of town in a quiet neighborhood.
Not that i didnt like it but ill put it here just so you know before you book. The viilla is a way out of town, so you'll have a better time if you rent a bike or have a car. I took a tricycle, which charged 20 pesos, but I tipped because I felt that it was a long distance.
