All the staff were so friendly and helpful. The rooms have everything you would get in a hotel. The car park at the back was also very handy and the location is perfect especially if your looking for somewhere to stay near UCHG.

Great staff. Johnny, Michael and team were very responsive. They helped a family member access their washer and dryer. Michael gave us tips about the area. Breakfast was made to order with great options. Even though it was a reasonable walk to the city center past the University, we opted to buy a Link card (bus pass) and take a quick bus ride for multiple back and forth trips. It really enhanced our experience to ride with locals. We bought one Link card for the three of us at the nearby post office. We loved Galway.

O café da manhã é excelente, os funcionários são super solícitos e educados, cama confortável e bom chuveiro.

Faltou consistência no serviço de limpeza, por exemplo, uma noite deixavam água, na outra não, numa noite recolhiam o lixo, na outra deixavam os copos sujos, o lençol também tinha algumas manchas. A localização também é um pouco longe do centro, apesar de ser 15-20 min caminhando, pras proporções da cidade que é bem pequena, acaba ficando longe.

The Brook Lodge was lovely. The bed was comfortable and the room was very clean. Our room was on the front of the house, so the host provided earplugs in case it was too noisy, but it actually wasn't bad at all. We appreciated the thought and gesture though! The staff were all incredibly polite, friendly, and professional. They clearly prioritise customer service here. The breakfast was excellent as well.

Nothing we didn't like, but other guests should know that you can only really enter the drive via left turn as it is located very close to the very busy intersection and making a right turn into it is impossible. Not the fault of Brook Lodge though, and perfectly doable as long as you come in from the left!

Bequeme Betten, sehr gutes Frühstück und das wichtigste für uns war der sichere Parkplatz hinter dem Haus. Wir sind zu Fuss in rd 20 min in die berühmte Pub und Musikszene der Stadt gelaufen. Die Gegend erschien uns sicher zu sein.

Das Bad war etwas in die Jahre gekommen aber sauber. Das Hotel liegt direkt an stark befahrenen Strassen, die Nacht ist dementsprechend laut.

I had a very comfortable and enjoyable stay at The Brook Lodge. My room was spacious, spotlessly clean and very comfortable, with great attention to detail. Breakfast was excellent. A special mention must go to the young gentleman who looked after me — he was exceptionally helpful, courteous and professional and made me feel very welcome. Nothing was too much trouble. I would happily stay here again and highly recommend it.

The staff was very helpful and friendly. The location was pretty good (although a pretty long walk from the main attractions of Galway).

Very noisy street. Hallways were noisy (doors closing were loud slams). Breakfast was ok.

Personnel adorable, petit déjeuner exceptionnel et varié, avec options végétariennes, lit confortables et le King Size a été très apprécié. Chambre triple familiale parfaite avec une grande ado, assez grande pour trois. Beaucoup d’attentions très appréciées, thé et café à volonté à l’arrivée et au départ, discussions chaleureuses avec les membres de l’équipe, le parking est un vrai plus. Idéalement situé à Galway.

Hélas le bruit de la rue, assez passante. Même si les bouchons d’oreilles étaient fournis, ça nous a gênés.

Ein toller Aufenthalt! Die Gastgeber waren superfreundlich und zuvorkommend! Das Frühstück ist extraklasse, Tee & Kaffee können den ganzen Tag über genutzt werden. Wir hatten ein Familienzimmer, das sehr geräumig war mit einem großen Doppelbett und einem Einzelbett dazu (= sehr bequem). Die Lage ist prima, Bushaltestellen befinden sich gleich an der Straße, ein kleiner Supermarkt nebenan und nette Cafés die Straße entlang, gegenüber zudem eine Tankstelle. Einziges Manko bei unserem Aufenthalt war die Hitze (was ja sommerlich-schön war), so dass bei geöffnetem Dachfenster die nahegelegene größere Straße etwas zu hören war in der Nacht. Das tut dem tollen Eindruck von The Brook Lodge und seinen Gastgebern aber keinen Abbruch, ein Aufenthalt dort ist wärmstens zu empfehlen!

The guesthouse is located directly at a junction of two very busy roads and opposite a petrol station. There is traffic noise also at night. Basically a here is no quiet room at this location, but it is conveniently close to the university and the hospital.

Hotel nás velmi mile překvapil. Neskutečně ochotný personál a vynikající snídani. Hotel je pár minut od centra kam se dostanete procházkou přes areál vysoké školy a promenádou kolem vody.

I had a wonderful stay at Brook Lodge, it's very close to the University of Galway and within easy walking distance of the city centre, making it a convenient choice for both academic visits and sightseeing. One of the highlights was the breakfast. Everything was freshly prepared to order, and the quality of the food was outstanding. The staff were friendly and polite. They responded quickly to requests and were always willing to help.

No air conditioning, which is probably fine most of the year, but it was kind of hot while we were there, and the windows only open a crack, probably for safety.

Ubytování se nám velice líbilo. Prostředí bylo velice pěkné a útulné. Personál byl velmi milý, přátelský a ochotný. Snídaně byly vynikající. Doporučuji všem! :)

Eine für Irland noch P reiswerte Bed&Breakfast-Unterkunft, gut geführt durch studentische Aushilfen, mit sehr gutem Frühstück, sehr sauber und mit etwa 20 Minuten Fußweg in angemessener Entfernung zur Innenstadt von Galway. Das ganze Haus sehr sauber, die Mitarbeiter zuvorkommend. Kostenloses Parken im Hof möglich.

Ich hatte übersehen, dass die Unterkunft direkt an einer vielbefahrenen, mehrspurigen Umgehungsstraße, direkt an einer Kreuzung liegt. Dadurch war es jedenfalls in unserem Zimmer in der zweiten Etage laut (es lagen sogar Ohrstöpsel im Zimmer bereit), so dass man trotz der Wärme im Haus auch im Sommer nicht bei offenem Fenster schlafen konnte. Die Dachfenster in unserem Zimmer waren nicht gut geräuschisoliert, so dass es leider auch bei geschlossenem Fenster jedenfalls in den Morgenstunden, wenn der Verkehr auf der Straße unter dem Fenster zunahm, sehr laut wurde.

Das B&B liegt direkt an einer viel befahrenen Kreuzung von 2 Hauptstraßen, der Lärm war unerträglich. Wir wurden begrüßt mit den Worten, dagegen können wir nichts machen, halten Sie die Fenster geschlossen und wenn es zu laut wird, sind hier Ohrstöpsel. Ein absolutes No-Go. Hätten wir das vorher gewusst, hätten wir ein anderes Hotel gebucht. Wir konnten die Fenster nicht geöffnet lassen, so dass es auch ziemlich warm in dem kleinen Raum war. Eine Klimaanlage gibt es nicht. Das Badezimmer war winzig und die Toilettenspülung ging oft nur nach mehrfachem Betätigen. Die Fernbedienung des TV ging auch nicht und musste getauscht werden. Das sie defekt ist, war dem Betreiber im Vorfeld bekannt, wie er uns mitteilte. Die Unterkunft ist nicht zu empfehlen, die 2 Punkte nur, weil das Personal freundlich war.

Great location - a few steps from the bus stop of line 404, fantastic and very friendly staff, especially Andra — she was very nice and helpful. The room and the bathroom were sparkling clean. They served a lovely breakfast, with several options to choose from on the menu.

L emplacement de l établissement. Aux coins de 2 artères principales routières. Donc très bruyantes. A ne pas dormir la nuit. Pas de climatisation. Juste un petit ventilo. Impossible d ouvrir les fenêtres à cause du bruit et des gros projecteurs de la cour. Et se sentir piégés à ne pas pouvoir changer de chambre ou d hôtel.
