Reviewed May 21, 2026Die Unterkunft war sauber und schön und gut eingerichtet. Der Garten mit vielen Sitzmöglichkeiten und Pool ist sehr schön und die vielen Tiere die man auch füttern kann sind ein Highlight! Die Gastgeber sind sehr nett und hilfsbereit, uns wurde schon im Voraus bei Fragen zu Aktivitäten etc. geholfen. Außerdem konnten wir spontan sogar früher einchecken und auch der frühe Check-Out am Morgen war kein Problem. Gute Lage innerhalb Swellendam und Parkplatz direkt an der Unterkunft. Wir wären gerne länger geblieben.

I could hear my "neighbours" clearly... Listened to their snoring 😴 Overall though, it wasn't a bad experience! Also would have liked to have a little bottle / jug of drinkable water in the fridge as I'm not sure if Swellendam's tap water is safe to drink.

Besonders charmant fanden wir die Tiere – Esel und Schafe –, die für eine harmonische und idyllische Atmosphäre sorgten. Die Zimmer waren makellos sauber, geschmackvoll eingerichtet und unglaublich gemütlich – wir haben hervorragend geschlafen. Auch Swellendam selbst ist ein absoluter Geheimtipp: ein Ort voller Charme und Ruhe. Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder und können diesen Aufenthalt uneingeschränkt empfehlen!

We were sorry that our stay was only one night!

Reviewed Apr 1, 2024Very spacious unit and beautiful surroundings. We enjoyed using the communal braai and swimming pool. We also appreciate small touches like providing milk and soap. The weather was very hot and the unit was always nice and cool to enter. The hosts were kind and always close by in case we had issues, which we didn’t. Thoroughly enjoyed the stay.
We would suggest perhaps adding some more appliances and furniture, such as a small stovetop, sharp knives, a lounge chair in the bedroom and lounge chairs by the pool. Adding a sign by the entrance would also be helpful because it was a little difficult to find.

Reviewed Feb 18, 2024I liked the friendliness of the staff and the peace and quiet that we had during our stay. The place is exactly as seen in the picture. Everything was just perfect to be honest and we would definitely stay there again in the future.
There is nothing I didn't like about our stay. It was perfect and we got to feed the donkeys. I wished I had booked a longer stay.

Reviewed Sep 19, 2023First impression........ Clean, neat, newly fitted out, sparkling crockery & utensils, dew fresh linen! The owners have a taste to offer quality .... Very convenient location, safe parking, unhindered freedom to wander the lush gardens, use of the swimming pool & braai area and naturally, feeding the donkeys! Would we recommend it as over night accommodation? ..... Most certainly, stay more than just one night to benefit value for money!.....Next time we would bring our friends to use the adjacent room!
the facility has an adjacent room........ not sound proof..... our next door guest's TV noise and early morning religion ritual was unwelcomed. Lack of comfortable seating - 2 timber top steelframed 'chairs' was inadequate. Owners could offer substitute.
