Excellent service, friendly staff and prompt response

No smart TV in our room, bar and restaurant close early for someone who wants to stay up until late, not much activities available, besides the spa and game drive there’s not much to do

We had to leave early to catch a plane and they packed us a gourmet breakfast to go. The staff was attentive and the room and grounds were beautiful.

The views of the sunset from our king room were absolutely amazing. The bed was comfortable, it was a perfect night away not too far from the city. The food was a solid 10/10 - great variety of options at the breakfast buffet.

Our stay at the Executive Suite was nothing short of remarkable. The rooms were incredibly spacious, offering both comfort and elegance. We were pleasantly surprised to find the bar fridge fully stocked and even more delighted that everything inside was complimentary. The ambience and views were breathtaking, creating a serene backdrop for our getaway. From the gate staff to every team member who served us, the hospitality was consistently warm and professional. Dinner was divine, bursting with flavor, and breakfast was equally impressive with a generous buffet spread. A truly unforgettable moment came when I casually mentioned to our waiter that we were celebrating my husband’s birthday. Without hesitation, he returned with a delicious slice chocolate cake a thoughtful gesture that elevated our evening into a cherished celebration. Highly recommended for anyone seeking a memorable and indulgent escape.

Close to airport. Stayed 2 nights in two different accommodations, which were very interesting with different views. Quiet location even though many celebrations and conferences. Spa / massage was wonderful. Safari drive not worth it.

Music much too loud in the dining areas, as if in a disco. Impossible to have pleasant conversation..Chose room service for dinner as more pleasant.

Staff are exceptional. I have stayed in many places and staff there are a cut above the rest. The complimentary mini bar is great. Even complementary cocktails were welcomed. It is good value for money.

The toilet in room 306 had a sliding door that was not robust. The sliding mechanism was also not smooth. The walls are also quite thin, so noise from neighbors/guests penetrates through the walls very easily.

Accessibility to Johannesburg, parking, Reception, 24/7 golf cart transport to- & from suites, on-site game drives, complimentary snacks & drinks every day, experiencing the views & stillness of nature while having the sun shine through the floor-to-ceiling windows. Great sunset views. Breakfast buffet was ample & varied. Meals taken outside the restaurant are ideal to avoid noisy guests, and to appreciate the well manicured gardens.

Chipped/ cracked floor tiles and sink. Leaking shower door (no seal). Electric blanket was plugged into the wall socket (which was behind the fixed headboard) which makes it impossible to switch on. Sliding patio door had a small gap when in Closed position, which allowed cold air to come through. No turn-fown service on 1st night.

A noisy place, people do as they please with no repacation. It felt like we booked in a tarven or brothel. People making noise until 6 in the morning. Screaming, fightings, sounds om high volume. We regret having booked in this place. We reported the issue more than 5 times to a point where are calls where not attended to. We wanted to check out at 2am but they didnt even wana supply us with a cart si that we can go get a better place to rest. It was a horific expiriece.

Its just perfect. The luxury suites are prestine and immensely comfortable and truly luxurious. There is so much to do, you never have the leave Thaba Eco if you booked for the weekend. It perfect for a staycation, because you forget you are still in Johannesburg

The room. The fact that the bed had electric blanket with 2 switches to accommodate all sides it was a plus.

The staff that were at reception when I checked in were amazing. I just can't remember their names. The food from the restaurant was really good.

The cappuccino that was ordered for dinner had to be paid twice, at the restaurant when dinner was ordered. And also when it was delivered to the room. I requested a porter in the morning on the 27th. I waited in the cold for about 10 minutes. There was no cart that arrived. I had to walk down to reception in the cold.

The outside view and the nature drive

The single couch looks old the air con was making funny sounds the tv is old and small. They removed the pork belly fat so it was dry.

Everything was perfect. Food, staff, the room. Receptionists were helpful and willing to go the extra mile. The cart drivers are well mannered and will ensure your safety as well as comfort. Complimentary bar was a cherry on top. Spa facilities are well kept and of high quality. Breakfast was my favourite.

Water dispensed from the shower lacked enough pressure. Aircon needs to be looked at for hester purposes.

It’s tranquil. You are in the city but it feels like you are miles away from civilisation! Loved loved how secluded it was and yet still near amenities

Great stay at Thaba Eco Hotel. Beautiful setting, comfortable beautiful rooms, friendly staff, and excellent service. I would happily stay there again.

We were disappointed that the restaurant closed early on Sunday evening and that this was not communicated to us in advance. Better communication would improve the guest experience.

The cleaner came into the room and greeted us with. “Hello beautiful people”. Full marks Kraal Restaurant was absolutely amazing with huge South African portions. A bit of paradise

I am not a fan of golf cart connection to the car but even that went fairly well.

Stunning getaway for couples. Bed very comfortable and beautiful room setting. Lots of personal touches, and attention to detail which makes room perfect. Everything from driving in to departure, such a beautiful place and staff very helpful and professional.

The rooms are very spacious , only 4 units per building , less crouched . Their breakfast was ready amazing, the main reason why we came back.
