Reviewed Sep 9, 2026Lo que me gustó más fue la ubicación y la habitación era super espaciosa. Había varios ventiladores para poder hacer correr aire y además habia dos baños y dos duchas para la habitación de mujeres compartida super prolijos.
No me gustó que te obligan a irte del establecimiento al hacer el checkout y no podes quedarse ni una hora en la zona comun ya sea teletrabajando, desayunando o esperando la hora para algún traslado. En mi caso tenía que teletrabajar y yo contaba con estar allí hasta el mediodía y me obligaron a irme por lo cual tuve que quedarme con 40 grados en la vereda para poder trabajar ese día.

Não é um hostel. Não é permitido o livre trânsito nas áreas comuns e as regras são duras sem negociação. Vi pessoas chegarem e ter que ficar na rua antes do check in! Isso eu nunca tinha visto acontecer em hostel!!! As pessoas não se sentem muito bem-vindas !

A unas cuadras en linea recta estas en el centro histórico realmente esta excelente ubicado PERO yo fuí a mediados de agosto, MUCHO CALOR y no pude dormir del calor que hace en las habitaciones . Son como cuevas muy calurosas y 1 solo ventilador para 8 cuchetas. A mí me tocó cucheta cama de arriba y el aire del ventilador no me llegaba. Si vas en verano NO ES UNA BUENA OPCION PARA DORMIR LA PASAS MAL.
TIENE apenas 1 ventilador para una habitación de 8 cuchetas y en pleno verano que fui, la habitación muy calurosa era imposible poder dormir.

Reviewed Aug 19, 2026The beds were comfortable, room was spacious, shower very good. One of the best kitchens I have seen in a hosel - incredibly well-equipped and spacious. The location is an easy walk into the Sassi and town centre.
There was no AC in the dorm. Luckily the fan did help, however it was still considerably hot in the peak of summer.

Reviewed Aug 15, 2026A localização é boa para quem viaja de carro e pode estacionar na rua, mas estando a uma distância razoável do centro. As roupas de cama e banheiros são limpos.
O albergue é extremamente quente. É praticamente impossível de usar ou ficar na cozinha de tanto calor. Apesar de dizer que tem ar condicionado, é mentira! Em um quarto para 8 pessoas eles colocaram um ar condicionado móvel que não gela absolutamente nada, além de ser extremamente ruidoso. Fomos obrigadas a dormir com a janela aberta em pleno verão italiano. O colchão é desconfortável, afundado no meio e é preciso compartilhar as tomadas, já que não são suficientes para todos. Além disso, só existe uma funcionária entre 15h e 20h, único horário possível de fazer o check in, limitando a programação dos hóspedes. Não valeu a pena a estadia.

Avec les fortes chaleurs de cet été, la clim mériterait un peu plus de puissance (pour les dortoirs non mixtes). Pour le dortoir mixte, il n'y a qu'un ventilateur car il y fait moins chaud (pas de soleil direct), mais une clim pourrait être envisagée.

The portable air conditioner and the fans were not enough for 6 people in Matera. The shower was really small and the WC short. Maybe would be better to eliminate one shower and make it bigger.

It’s not a hostel AT ALL! If you arrive sooner then the check in time, you cannot be at the common area until the bedroom is ready. I met a girl that had to wait OUTSIDE for TWO HOURS in a crazy hot weather !! Why? Hostels ALL AROUND THE WORLD have free passage, open doors, etc They are VERY STRICT and there’s no way to ask for anything ! Kinda frustrating ! Not a hostel!!!!!

Reviewed Jul 3, 2026In general I liked the staff of the hotel, the people that were staying there, the level of cleanliness and the level of maintenance of the hostel. Also the lockers were nice and big enough to fit a quite average to big backpack. Their policies are straight forward once you have booked which is good on what to expect. There is plenty of space in the communal area.
There were some inconveniences, some of them serious to me, keeping in mind that i visited it in summer. I will start with the most important. The air conditioning in the male dorm (which is on an upper floor and thus getting much sun and heat) is a portable unit that is poorly installed as the hot air exhaust installation is not properly done and bring a lot of the heat back in the room. The balcony door and the upper part of the wall were really hot similar to a radiator heater! The quality of the installation is really shabby. Something that you might expect in a last category hostel that you might have paid 8 euros per night and not in one that you paid 26 euros! It was impossible to chill during the day in the dorm because it was like a sauna. During the night most of us were able to sleep after 2am and only because we opened the balcony door so that fresh air comes in. Another inconvenience is that the bathroom is in the dorm. That's not very helpful but it was not that serious because the door closes well. Their check-in time slot and regulation and the fact that most of the day there is no staff plus that they force you to wake up at a certain hour and do the checkout at 10am (too early) is something that feels awkward for a hostel even if you know beforehand. Unfortunately, there are no many alternatives in Matera. You only have one quite spacious communal space where the reception is but again without airconditioning. I would not recommend to stay here in summer. In another season, it would be most likely a very good stay, but not in summer where in Southern Italy having air conditioning should be a must during summer months. I didn't feel it worths the money I spent here. The mattress also was extremely soft, most likely from overuse. A better mattress would be helpful. But not a major issue.

Reviewed Jun 21, 2026L’hostel est idéalement situé proche du centre historique de Matera. Les lieux sont très propres et la cuisine commune est agréable et bien équipée.
Je trouve qu’il manque des rideaux dans les lits des dortoirs pour un peu plus d’intimité. Le ménage est effectué de 10h à 13h environ et le personnel nous impose de quitter la chambre à 9h40 et nous n’avons pas le droit de rentrer dans la chambre récupérer des affaires ni se doucher et ce jusque 13h. Certes les chambres sont du coup très propres mais j’ai trouvé ça un peu trop restrictif.

Reviewed Jun 6, 2026汽车站步行二十分钟吧，十分钟可到观景台，厨房客厅大东西齐全，旁边有超市，建筑好像在个洞穴里也挺特别，干净卫生，价格实惠性价比高。
入住的时间有点晚要等到下午三点，我早班车到赶在09:00-12:00之间有人搞卫生时可放下行李，否则不在这个点的话无法放下行李。

Reviewed Jun 3, 2026The room is spacious with lockers inside. There is a bathroom inside dorm room with 2 showers and 2 toilets. The room and bathroom are very clean. The location is good too, just on the edge of the city centre.
The towel is not included. It is a bit inconvenient that between 12 and 3pm you can't check-in or leave your luggage as there is no one at the reception.

Pensavo che forse sarebbero stati infastiditi perché ho voluto fare molti cambiamenti a causa di circostanze personali e ho causato loro parecchi disagi cercando di non perdere i soldi, ma alla fine le cose si sono sistemate e sono riuscita ad andare con la prenotazione che avevo già fatto. Sono davvero felicissima perché mi hanno trattata benissimo comunque.

Reviewed May 18, 2026Posizione buona, nelle vicinanze ci sono bar e supermercati. La stazione dei bus Freccialink dista meno di 30 minuti a piedi. Il centro si raggiunge in 10 minuti. E' un ostello piccolo, quindi non ho mai dovuto aspettare per usare la cucina, la doccia, il bagno. E' disponibile il materiale per etichettare il proprio cibo quando si mette in frigorifero.
Niente da segnalare. Nel servizi comuni non ci sono bidet né finestra, ma c'è l'aspiratore.

Micromanagement with conditions before and on arrival. I couldn't drop off my backpack earlier in the day ( which destroyed my afternoon in Matera) .as it might DISTURB cleaning staff. Uoon check in at 3 pm when I'm rushing for a walking tour I was shown a demonstration on how to open the front door lock and then made to lock and unlock the door so I could be seen to be competent. If there's a problem with the front door lock then fix or replace it . Don't waste people's time. RIDICULOUS It felt like I was checking in for surgery rather than a hostel.

Reviewed May 4, 2026Amei ficar nesse hostel!!! Tudo é ótimo: o quarto, banheiro, limpeza, atenção das funcionárias. Eu não usei a cozinha/ copa mas vi como o local é organizado, limpo, muito prático. Ponto alto para a Valéria que me ajudou enormemente a comprar a minha passagem de retorno e me deu dicas de lugares ótimos para comer. A moça da limpeza e a outra moça da recepção são ambas muito atenciosas, prestativas, acolhedoras, tranquilas. Excelente equipe de trabalho. Amei, amei!!!
