100% highly recommend. The unit was super cosy and comfortable. There is so many cool art pieces and musical interactions to enjoy. Definitely will be back.

Convenient location with close proximity to Hamilton and attractions but away from the urban area /country setting. Very clean place. Polite hosts. Cool retro audio equipment! It was nice the studio was separate and had a private entrance. I would stay here again.

There was nothing I didn’t like.

It was beautifully clean and tidy and had everything we needed for our stay. The outdoor area was also a lovely place to relax, in peaceful surroundings. We would definitely recommend the property to others.

The studio has a very spacious living area and a fully-equipped kitchen. The outdoor area was great for relaxing and drinking a cuppa at the end of the day. The classic jukebox machine was awesome (even though my partner didn't love the music selection) and the free Netflix was an added bonus. The bed was comfortable with a firm mattress. Body wash, shampoo and conditioner were supplied, although if you are picky about yours - bring some yourself.

The sink in the bathroom is quite small and was a bit uncomfortable to navigate around. There isn't a whole lot of room for a suitcase in the bedroom, so we had to leave ours in the living area.

At once when opening the door, you felt like the hosts really wanted you to feel at home and welcome. Very nice attention to details, clean and with great tips about the area.

Quiet, clean, quirky, value for money; food for the mind, the memory and the soul. Agree with the Captain - "every salmon needs a birthday fishcake".

It was all good.

A pleasure to stay in this wonderful accommodation once again.

Nice quiet setting, and everything was supplied that we needed for a relaxing and pleasurable stay. Just wish we'd had more time to enjoy it, but our event took up much of our days. Decor was original, interesting and tasteful. Cleanliness was A1. Lovely private courtyard outside would be fabulous in summer, especially as it is dog friendly too.

This place is truly amazing! Spotlessly clean with a beautiful, unique design that feels both retro and homely. The bed was super comfortable, complete with an electric blanket - perfect for those chilly nights. What really made the stay unforgettable was the incredibly thoughtful host, who even covered my car to prevent the front window from freezing overnight! That level of care and hospitality is rare. If you’re looking for a cosy, well-designed, and welcoming place to stay - this is it. I highly recommend Studio on Oakview.

We loved our stay here. The kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed for the stay. The bed was nice and comfy and the water pressure in the shower was really good! The jukebox was an excellent touch! Than you for an excellent stay Dave.

Very clean and well equipped Courtyard fully fenced for my dog Also my dog can do steps as he is elderly and arthritic so this was great with just one small step out to the courtyard

Did have a slight issue with not being able to open the gate when I went to leave but managed to resolve it without drama.

It was a beautifully done up older place. Very comfortable with modern appliances. Perfect spot. Safe enclosed area for our dog to wander.

The ants, but only outside. Being short I had to stretch to open a secure gate but it was crawling with ants as was the patio but thats something I could put up with for a longer stay.

Always grateful to find dog friendly accommodation and this little place was lovely. It was spotlessly clean, quiet, and had a really comfy bed, the jukebox was also a fun touch that makes the place unique. The location was really convenient for us to break up a long journey, and Dave was a great host. We also appreciated local tips about where we could go for a dog walk. Overall a great stay; we'd happily stay again.

Nothing, we really liked everything. The only improvement would be adding a microwave for the ease of reheating things, but it really wasn't an issue for one night.

I had a kaupapa in Tauwhare pā . I have a family of 5 but me and my youngest (1yrs) come to stay. It was absolutely perfect, clean , cosy, homey and much more. Although I was down for work it was such a blessing to stay here . Being a mum of 3 it was soooo lovely to wake up to a beautiful clean house , the juke box was sooo cool . The decor was just insane incredible and the whare itself provided everything me & my pepi needed. The milk and filtered water was a bonus. I loved that there was cooking oil , salt & pepper aswel as I was able to cook a Kai without needing the basics. This whare is truly a magical place . The outside lights at night were magical. The bed was just absolutely top notch and I cried going home to my bed lol. I love the books and the patu too . You have such a beautiful magical whare. I will definitely come to stay again . Perhaps kid free just me & hubby next time. Thank you for the beautiful manaaki your whare offered.

The property had a great feel to it. It was well appointed and had a nice fenced yard for our small dog. Easy to find too.

We absolutely loved our stay at the guesthouse! it's such a comfortable space with everything you could possibly need and the jukebox is great fun.

Very nice place to stay, very clean and tidy. The jukebox was a bonus. I loved listening to the old school music with a glass of wine while relaxing. The heat pump was amazing, warmed up the place in no time, thoroughly enjoyed my shower with great pressure, and the bed was very comfortable to I also love that they left a bowl of fruit and chocolates out for you. Differently give this place a 10 out of 10 to stay 😀

Very nice place to stay, super clean, everything you need ! We loved the electric blankets on this comfy bed. Great to have a heat pump for this cold winter.
