La La Nathi Country Guesthouse

La la Nathi by far exceeded our expectations. We enjoyed our stay in this fantastic place. Everything was squeaky clean and fresh. The attention to detail is phenomenal. All our needs were catered for. The surroundings are beautiful, and we enjoyed the farm animals on the premises. The restaurant food is excellent, and the staff are extremely friendly. It is the perfect stopover between Bloemfontein or Johannesburg and Durban

Everything was perfect from La la Nathi's side. Just be aware that the highway is next to the guest lodge, and the traffic is hectic 24 hours a day. You hear the trucks straight through the night. It didn't bother us at all. But for sensitive people, this might be a problem.

If you love nature and peace this is a place for you. Am definitely going again during school holidays

Convenient Location, Lovely staff at the restaraunt and bar. Delicious comfort food. the facilities looked great, just didnt get to enjoy them due to the weather. beautiful gardens.

The shower in the unit once used Water leaks all around the bathroom , which messy and causes a slippery floor.

It is close to the N3 and they can accommodate my caravans which I often tow to Jhb

N3 Noise in winter the trees have no leaves so the sound is not blocked like in summer. Shower don't drain well

The noise from heavy vehicles traveling 24/7 on the nearby N3 can be a problem for a light sleeper.

Location is perfect. The bungalow is clean and everything works. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Food was great.

Cattle with bells on their necks, was not expected. But they moved off.

A real hidden gem that we only wish we had discovered sooner. The food was outstanding, the staff incredibly warm and welcoming, and the setting beautiful and peaceful. A wonderful place to break a journey and well worth the stop, whether you’re travelling as a family, a couple or on your own.

It’s a great location convenient situated, to break up the distance between Durban and Johannesburg.

We loved all the activities that was available at the location as well as the restaurant. Our rooms were very nice and comfortable. Even the complimentary water was so sweet.

The showerhead needs a little TLC, but the rest was so very nice. Thank you for this little gem alongside the N3.

Restaurant is very slow, only saw our waiter 3 times had to stop her to ger her attention. Ordered ribs, the sides ( chips and salads) not tasting nice and waited nore thsn 30min and we were the only customers at the moment. Milkshakes waited +15min and after its done the say they dont have straws. Asked for the bill, waiter came back without the bill asking if we want the bill.

We loved everything. The Food is also AMAZING and the staff so friendly. Will never drive by again without stopping.

We had a bat in our room, early in the morning. Maybe they could invest in bat repellent....But it was VERY cold....lol

Het was druk daardoor moesten we lang wachten op ons diner. We hadden steak besteld. Deze was Well-done ipv medium rara. Hierdoor besloten we geen dessert te bestellen, omdat we bang waren dat dit te lang zou duren.

The mattress on the double bed could do with replacing. Not sure if the aircon was working as it should - was blowing but barely

Schön angelegte Lodge. Super Lage für einen Zwischenstopp. Mit eigener Abfahrt von der N3, daher nachts lauter Autoverkehr. Im Juni schon etwas kalt trotz Heizungen im Chalet und Kamin im Restaurant und in der Bar. Frühstück und Essen gut. Sehr freundliche und zuvorkommende Mitarbeiter.

Modehi, the receptionist was very welcoming, friendly and efficient. The rondavel was very cosy and comfortable.

Unfortunately the shower had a dank smell to it.

Value for money. Location very convenient though highway traffic can become disturbing.

Bed is a little high for short folks like us, but I guess that's a me problem 😀 Room smelled a little musty / smokey when I opened the door, but it was probably just the thatch. Still a great stay!

Very easy to get to, directly off the highway. Food was great and very reasonable.

Great location right next to the road, perfect for a stopover. The staff were very friendly, late check-in was possible, and security at the gate was very responsive.

The small cabins are a bit outdated and in need of renovation, not very cozy. There was also no electric blanket for cold nights.

Clean and tidy. Had my best sleep for a long time. Room service was excellent. Very quite and peaceful.

My stay was too short

We didn't have breakfast but the take away cappuccino was superb. We did enjoy the dinner though. The staff is very friendly and helpful. A very special place that we would strongly recommend.

It took an hour and twenty minutes to receive dinner after placing our order This should be forewarned !

Location was perfect, rooms were lovely and spacious, beds were comfortable and clean. Had a wonderful nights rest.

I specifically chose a unit with a bath on booking.com however once checked in our unit only had a shower which was disappointing. The restaurant service is incredibly slow and inattentive however the food was good!

Great overnight roadside guest house and cottages. Good meals and comfortable rooms

Breakfast was great! We enjoyed supper, compliments to the chef!

Nothing that we could think of, maybe some fresh milk in the room 😃. We do not drink powder milk, too much sugar in it.
