The Quails Nest Cottage

Very clean, perfectly designed for a comfortable stay. Loved the complementary farmer’s eggs, tasty bread and milk for breakfast.

It's our second time back here and we love everything about it. Peaceful, quiet, private, great views, cost, everything you could need or want for a couples getaway. Very accommodating and kind hosts too

This wee cottage is right up there as one of experiences we've ever had with holiday accomodation. It is a gem. The location is central and beautiful, the gardens and surrounds are peaceful, and the house was cozy and spotless. Our hosts were attentive but also gave us our privacy. It was a perfect ten and we loved it.

Great communication from the hosts. A beautifully presented cottage with lots of extra touches to make the stay comfy and cosy. Locally baked bread, fresh eggs and milk provided as well as everything else you would need for a comfortable stay!

Beautiful cottage and excellent thoughtful host. Breakfast was provided with farmers chicken eggs, delicious sourdough, butter and milk. The feijoas were abundant too.

Very nice decor, warm and comfortable. Hosts were in touch to help if needed. Great views and enjoyed the nearby Quarry Park. Really appreciated the breakfast foods. Relatively easy drive to Rotarua.

Lovely clean place, nice treats like fresh eggs, chocolate on arrival. Beautiful bathroom accessories. Lovely decor and there was everything you needed. Bonus washing machine and rack Nice to have eco friendly products

Would be good to have small compost bin to put organic waste. There was an issue with damp smell in lounge which we made aware to owners

The cottage was perfect for what we were looking for. Host were great made sure we had everything we needed also made sure we were alright the whole time. Definitely worth it. Made our stay feel like we were at home. Would definitely go back

Traffic to get there but once we new our way around peak hour we were away.

The cottage was just amazing inside and out. Aside from the stunning views, birds, and total peace, the hosts had also made the place just so welcoming. Very private location but conveniently close to any amenities you may want or need. Would highly recommend 10/10

Cosy tranquil cottage positioned in a great location. Fantastic sunrise from the front deck with Mt Maunganui in the background, the abundance of bird song and sheep on your doorstep was a joy which went hand in hand with the property. The cottage had everything you could possibly need, Kelly the host left some fresh provisions,eggs , bread and fruit from their garden. Extra blankets and board games made it such a homely feel

Beautiful view of the Mount and quiet countryside but only 15 minutes drive from the centre of Tauranga. The accommodation was thoughtfully set up and furnished. The hosts left us a fresh loaf of bread, avocados, tomatoes, butter, milk, eggs, chocolate, sparkling water as well as cooking oils, dressings and more tasties.

Parking was possible for 2 cars but took a little time.

This choice of accommodation was a delightful surprise in its comfort. It was also just gorgeous. You could see all the way Mount Manganui from the verandah. Our hosts went above and beyond to ensure that we were comfortable and well set up. It was quiet, sunny and a wonderful place to spend our days. Loved it!

Clear communication with the host, the cottage was very clean, nice rural location with a lot of different birds to follow, finesse in cosmetics & condiments , welcome treats , comfy bed, eco-detergents for dishes and laundry.

The room was not only spotless but also beautifully designed. We could truly appreciate the attention to detail and the great sense of style throughout. It made for a very comfortable and pleasant environment. Additionally, their warm hospitality and attentiveness made us feel truly welcome. We want to stay at this cottage again when we visit Tauranga.

The location is beautiful. Really easy with the children. Provided eco friendly kitchen and bath stuff. Fresh eggs and bread. Plenty of condiments.

It would be helpful if the clocks worked in the house. Instructions of how to work the air con, TV and oven would be helpful. It would be good if there was a kitchen waste bin as we hate throwing composting items in the main bin. Some children's books in the house would be nice too.

Our stay at The Quails Nest was wonderful. A very unique place that offers you haven away from home. We like how clean, spacious, and peaceful that the accommodation provided. The place also offered a good size garden, and good views. The living room is big, there is board games is available when we don't watch TV. Kitchen was well equipped for us to make home cook meals without worrying with seasoning/sauces/ storing left over, etc The bedrooms was good size, and the bed/pillows was very comfortable. And the bathroom has a great layout and super clean, well supplied of eco-friendly toiletries available, plus there is the washing machine help too!. To top it off we got a few little surprises e.g local ingredients/treats left for us by the host, it was great. It made our stay more special when we get to taste the local grown produces and see how everyone support their local businesses. The Quails Nest is right next to a outstanding park which you can easily take a nice walk around to explore. The location is just right to nearly attractions. Overall we loved our stay at the Quails Nest, we highly recommend this place, and we the host will definitely see us again!

The place was in a beautiful location with great views, right beside Te Puna Quarry park, a great place to go for a walk or explore with kids. Every little detail was thought of, the decor was like a magazine and the hosts were so friendly and helpful. Great value for money.

Loved staying at this cottage. Very peaceful rural setting among avocado trees with an awesome view out to Mount Maunganui from lounge. The cottage was equipped with everything you need to cook and have a comfortable stay. The host has put a lot of care, thought and love into everything provided. Also made everything very easy. Recommend this as a quiet place to stay if visiting Tauranga as downtown only 15m away - but you get to relax in a peaceful retreat from the noise and hassle. Also the Te Puna Quarry gardens right next door really worth a walk around.
