An Unforgettable Family Vacation – Highly Recommended! Review: We recently returned from an amazing stay at the AMĀRIA Beach Resort in Santorini, and we couldn't be happier with our choice. Everything about this hotel is absolutely perfect—from the beautiful facilities and great atmosphere to the exceptional level of comfort it provided for our family. What truly made our vacation so special, however, was the flawless service. The entire team was welcoming and professional, but we must give a very special and warm mention to Katerina and Amir. Their hospitality, kindness, and genuine care went above and beyond all our expectations. They paid attention to every little detail with a smile and made sure we had the absolute best experience possible. If you are looking for a top-tier hotel in Santorini with world-class service, this is the place to be. We highly recommend it!

Nära flygplatsen och något långt från stan med dyr taxi. Stranden var klent utrustad och ingen service fanns att få på stranden. Personalen var också inte jättebra på service alla gånger då de verkade chockade över varje fråga man ställde och de hade ofta svårt att svara på frågor. Det var inte heller 5-stjärnig service då de inte kunde tillstå det man behövde när man bad om det tyvärr

Very disappointing stay. The hotel is located only a few metres from the airport’s landing path, so aircraft fly extremely low directly overhead. The noise was unbearable, especially at night, making it impossible to sleep or relax. We had booked seven nights but had to leave after the first night because it was simply impossible to stay there. Despite this, the hotel refused to refund us for the remaining six nights that we did not use. The extreme aircraft noise and proximity to the airport should be clearly disclosed to guests before booking.

We had an amazing time, the hotel is so beautiful, spacious and the room was really comfortable and clean. the amenities as well. The staff was really nice and welcoming, so helpful, especially Amir at the reception who was really nice and helpful, quick and answered every question with accuracy and consideration. Also vasiliki at the reception was really nice and helpful, always greeting us with a smile and answering every question fully and offering to help with any matter. Our room was really close to the pool and dinning area. Breakfast had a lot of varieties and the food was really delicious. The hotel in 7 minutes from the airport, and about 10-12 minutes from Fira. The staff at the reception was really helpful booking out taxies from and to the hotel. I will definitely come back to this beautiful place. It made us feel at home away from home.

faptul ca la piscina sezlongurile se ocupau cu proasoape de la ora 7, iar daca ajungeai la 8 nu mai era nimic liber in conditiile in care oaspetii veneau la 11, 12 la piscina.. hotelul trebuia sa managerieze altfel situatia.. sa se ofere prosoape atunci cand veneai, sa aibe un om sa verifice acest aspect..au ramas copii mici fara sezlong fiindca erau puse prosoape de catre altii..urat!

O facto de ficar numa zona mais calma, facilita os acessos tanto do aeroporto, porto e outras cidades à volta. As áreas do hotel também são maiores e mais modernas, com um preço mais justo. Quartos muito confortáveis e espaçosos. A receção ajudou-nos sempre que preciso com as melhores dicas e apoio.

O hotel fica um pouco isolado, pelo que os preços do transporte são um pouco exagerados, mas é transversal aos táxis e uber da região. O pequeno almoço tinha qualidade, mas podia oferecer mais opções no geral. A praia não é incrível para mergulhar porque tem muitas pedras. Nesse aspeto, Kamari pareceu ser uma zona com melhores praias e também mais barata e com mais vida à volta (turismo).

All the hotel staff from the cleaners to the dining staff to the front desk were all exceptionally friendly and very helpful and attentive. Nothing was too much trouble which was lovely.

Plaza nie jest urocza. Trochę piaszczysta trochę kamienista. Bez butów do wody cieżko skorzystać. Obok jest lotnisko startujące samoloty słychać i widać tuż obok.

Struttura davvero bellissima, curata in ogni dettaglio e con un’atmosfera elegante e rilassante. La piscina è stupenda, gli ambienti sono puliti e il personale è sempre stato gentile e disponibile. Ottima anche la posizione a Kamari, comoda per raggiungere la spiaggia, i ristoranti e tutti i servizi

L’unico aspetto che non ci è piaciuto è stato il modo in cui è stata gestita la situazione dell’allagamento causato da una tubatura. Comprendiamo che si sia trattato di un inconveniente imprevedibile e che, purtroppo, non ci fosse disponibilità per poterci spostare in un’altra camera. Tuttavia, ci saremmo aspettati una gestione un po’ più attenta della situazione e maggiore attenzione nei nostri confronti.

Het zwembad is top, dito voor het muziek aan het zwembad. Het hotel ziet er zeer verzorgd uit. Achter de muren verrijst een zeer mooi onderhouden resort. Vooral Amir aan de receptie en Elvis in de bediening van het restaurant zijn toppers!

Helaas ligt het hotel vrij afgelegen en het strand is minder (Typisch Santorini). Qua ligging een klein minpunt: houd er rekening mee dat het resort aan het vliegveld ligt… je went eraan, je hoort er niks van in de kamers, maar het is er wel.

Our stay at Amaria Beach Resort exceeded all our expectations. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with genuine Greek warmth and outstanding hospitality that made us feel valued throughout our stay. Amir at the reception with his multilingual skills and service mindedness made us feel extra welcome as our initially booked room was upgraded to a senior suite. The hotel is beautifully designed, with elegant rooms, excellent facilities, and a peaceful atmosphere that makes it the perfect place to relax. The pool area is fantastic, the beach is just steps away, and the entire property is exceptionally clean and well maintained. The breakfast was outstanding, offering a wide variety of fresh and delicious options each morning. It was the perfect way to start the day before exploring the island. At dinner we followed the recommendation by Penny, who was an encyclopedia of greek foods and drinks. The catch of the day dish was highly appreciated by us. Although Santorini is famous for its caldera villages, staying at Amaria gave us the opportunity to enjoy a quieter and more relaxing side of the island while still being within easy reach of all the major attractions, especially the Kamari beach. We would highly recommend Amaria Beach Resort to anyone looking for a luxurious, peaceful, and welcoming place to stay in Santorini. I absolutely loved every single day in this place. The staff was extraordinary starting from Amir and Kiki at the reception desk, who answered all the questions that we had, helped us with anything we brought to them. Then the restaurant staff with Miss Peni, Anna, George, the guy with neck tattoos who's name I can't recall at the moment but I hope he won't get mad!, they all made us feel extremely welcomed and every dinner night felt like a relaxed got together with amazing hosts! Food was delicious, we got to experience authentic 5 star greek cuisine with great tastes that we haven't tried before, despite being already in different greek islands a few times. That one truly felt like the Greece I wanted to taste. Great pool with a music by the DJ, who gave it an amazing ambience. Secluded beach, with comfortable sunbeds if you just wanted to lay down and listen to the sound of waves.

המקום מרוחק מקאמרי ככה שצריך רכב לא ניתן להגיע ברגל , נסיעה משדה תעוםה 30 יורו לעיר בשאטל 10 יורו אבל בחזור שכחו לאסוף אותנו למרות שהתנצלו . המלון נמצא על השדה תעופה , ממש על השדה .

Breakfast was always great. Lots to choose from and plenty of time in the mornings to wander down and enjoy a healthy breakfast. The staff were always helpful, accommodating and you just felt a sense of calm, like life became a little more gentle while staying here. Dinner at the restaurant was always lovely, beautiful dishes created by the wonderful chef who would spend time speaking with you and sharing stories. Marilyn, our Concierge, was kind and helpful and always pointing us in the right direction. Easy to get to places outside of the resort with the handy resort transport and the beach, though rocky, was beautiful and you could sit and watch the waves crashing for hours, very relaxing and therapeutic. Loved it here, many great memories, thank you to everyone at AMĀRIA.

The airport being so close was a little bothersome at first but after a couple of days it just became part of the background. It would have been nice to have more staffing patrol the pool lounge chairs as people would put their towel and belongings on them first thing and then leave them for an hour or two which wasn’t right. I guess we could have done that too but it just felt rude to do that.

The hotel itself made a very strong impression in terms of design and architecture. Surrounded by lush greenery, it offered a truly peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. It’s a very comfortable boutique hotel, with a sense of tranquility throughout and exceptionally easy access to the sea. The staff were incredibly friendly, always smiling, and consistently helpful throughout our stay.

I was quite disappointed with the breakfast offerings at the hotel. The dining area itself was very basic, old with dirty windows , lacking any charm or comfort typically expected from a 4-star hotel and resort. The presentation and variety of food were also well below the expected standard. The selection of cheeses and ham etc, extremely limited, and the options remained exactly the same every day, with no variation or effort to enhance the experience. The location is suitable only for guests with a rental car or those willing to rely on taxis for transportation.

The property is very nice and exactly what we were looking for. It’s very clean, and the restaurant offers a good selection and really delicious food. The staff is friendly and helpful.

I didn’t really enjoy the breakfast as it wasn’t very varied, and sometimes the food didn’t seem very fresh. However, I had the best Greek yogurt I’ve ever tasted. The beach is a bit neglected and not very comfortable, so we ended up spending all our time at the pool. Every morning, I had to reserve sunbeds with towels to avoid ending up on the sofas. The pool itself is nice, but it’s not big enough to accommodate all the guests comfortably

We had a wonderful stay at the hotel. Everything was perfect – from the cleanliness and beautiful design to the warm hospitality of the team. The service was excellent: everyone was kind, always ready to help, and greeted us with a smile. Special thanks to Marilyn- Guest Relationship Manager, who was truly amazing, and to the owner of the hotel, who kindly welcomed us and made sure we were enjoying our stay. The chef prepared delicious meals, and we really appreciated the comfortable layout of the property, just steps away from the sea and the beach. The hotel also arranged our transfers and gave us great recommendations for visiting the island. Overall, everything was very comfortable, well-organized, and filled with kindness. Thank you to the whole team for making our stay so enjoyable!

Piscina stupenda, camere veramente belle e appena ristrutturate. Tutto molto confortevole. La gentilezza dello staff non ha eguali. Menzione particolare allo chef che ci ha trattato come se fossimo di famiglia e tutti si sono adoperati per soddisfare al meglio le esigenze dei nostri due gemelli, dai camerieri, a tutto lo staff. Siamo rimasti commossi da tanta premura. Consiglio vivamente il resort per una vacanza in famiglia. Ottimo cibo.

Andrebbe migliorata la spiaggia, investendo in un bar, servizio ai lettini per renderla al pari della piscina. Al momento risulta un po abbandonata ed è un peccato. Maggiore offerta di prodotti dolci a colazione (dove invece prevalgono i prodotti salati) e inserimento di una caffetteria espressa (e non il distributore automatico). Lo stesso per i succhi di frutta.

Room was large and very clean. Comfy bed and plenty of space for storage. Pool area was lovely but spoilt by the DJ. We requested a late check out which was granted until 2pm and much appreciated.

This review is based on the hotels 5* rating and subsequent price. We stayed at multiple hotels on this trip with lower * ratings and prices, with a far superior experience and service. We arrived at 2pm and were told our room would be ready in 5 minutes so to sit in reception. This ended up being closer to 25 minutes so if expectations were properly set we could have explored. Upon getting the key, we were told we had been upgraded to a suite which was appreciated, however the room we were given was right by the pool with no privacy meaning we had to keep shutters closed at all times as others would be able to see in. The other downside of this room was the DJ who played mid-morning until 4pm and then again in the evening until after 11pm (despite being told it should stop at 3pm and then again at 11pm). The pool area looks like it should be a chilled environment as it has comfy sunbeds but the style and volume of the music ruins the ambience and seemed out of place and unnecessary - not the place for a chilled stay. The breakfast was nowhere near what would be expected of a 5* hotel. The food did not seem fresh and the 'fresh fruit' looked days old. There was an omelette counter for 'fresh' omelettes but the chef when asked pointed to some ready made ones and would not make one fresh. The coffee included was from a self serve coffee machine that looked like it was from the 80's. We were told if we wanted a different coffee, including freddo (which is popular in Greece) we would have to wait until 9am and they would be at an additional cost. Across 2 weeks in Greece, we have always had these included in the breakfast. Due to the 5* rating and price we would expect much better breakfast and service, both of these really let down this hotel.

What I was really satisfied about is a pleasant helpful, always responsive staff and clean modern rooms.

The territory of the hotel is rather small and not properly organized and the area around the tennis court tennis, and the path to the sea is not neat as well. The vicinity to the airport is pretty disturbing. The pool area lacks of the shadow due to the non-functional umbrellas which difficult to move. The choice for breakfast is quite poor and doesn’t satisfy five star hotel menu requirements. The beach is in a poor condition, partly abandoned and disorganized without the simple fence to separate the hotel zone and the dirty beach of the neighboring locals. The pier is not long enough to make you comfortably get into the deep water and in general to provide you safe water entering.

L’hotel è dotato di tutti i comfort, con una reception attiva 24 ore su 24 e personale sempre disponibile ad assistere gli ospiti e organizzare trasferimenti. La guest manager è sempre presente per ogni necessità. Gli spazi comuni sono curati e pulitissimi e la piscina dispone di teli mare sempre pronti all’uso. La spiaggia con lettini a disposizione è adiacente alla struttura. C'è un bar/ristorante sempre aperto, prezzi alti, ma in linea con l'hotel. La colazione è ricca e internazionale, con vista suggestiva a bordo piscina. Le camere, impeccabili, offrono, oltre a comodità dei letti e dei servizi, numerosi dettagli di pregio come borsa mare, ciabatte, accappatoio e una completa selezione di prodotti da bagno. Avevamo fatto richiesta di late check out, ma, non essendo questo disponibile, ci è stata data la possibilità di rimanere in hotel fino a sera usufruendo dei numerosi servizi delle zone comuni. Insomma, una bellissima esperienza, speriamo di ritornare!

Purtroppo la musica era presente per quasi tutta la giornata in zona piscina (dove affacciava la nostra camera). Le camere sono insonorizzate, ma purtroppo non c'era assoluto silenzio, soprattutto dopo pranzo. La zona è lontana da tutto, per spostarsi serve necessariamente l'auto. La spiaggia è estremamente ventosa (è un punto dell'isola un po' sfortunato da questo punto di vista) rendendo spesso difficile fare il bagno.

This is a must stay. The resort is so beautiful, somehow better than it looks in the pictures. Half board is a must. Every single meal was exceptional and so much food is served for dinners. We did not have a single meal that we did not enjoy. All of the staff were so friendly, welcoming and up for a laugh with you. They make every guest feel so welcome and are beyond accomodating. As it is right at the airport, there is a fair amount of noise from the aeroplanes taking off and landing (this didn’t bother us at all) but the resort does provide earplugs for all guests. The resort is so clean and the pool is throughly cleaned each night. On our last day we were looking at changing flights to stay longer as we loved it so much. We can’t wait to come back here soon!

The tap water cannot be consumed, the resort does provide one 1.5L of water per room each day, I feel this should be one bottle per guest, but there are minimarts nearby where you can buy bottles of water for €0.80 so not that big of a deal. If you don’t get half board, there is room service available (or you can order from the menu too at the restaurant) otherwise the closest restaurant is about a 15 minute walk down a road with no footpaths.
