Reviewed Sep 2, 2026Het is een klein hostel en de receptie is niet altijd bemand. Het personeel is echter erg vriendelijk en behulpzaam. De locatie is ideaal voor reizigers die doorreizen naar de eilanden. Het hotel ligt namelijk direct naast de pier, de restaurants en de toeristische bureaus. Daarnaast is het hotel goed bereikbaar per taxi. De kamers zijn wel vrij basic en aan de kleine kant. Grote koffers zijn daardoor lastig volledig te openen. Ook de badkamer is erg compact. Omdat de douche en het toilet zich in dezelfde kleine ruimte bevinden, wordt alles nat tijdens het douchen.
's Avonds is er weinig te doen in de buurt van het hotel. Vele restaurants vlakbij de pier zijn ook 'savonds dicht. Blijkbaar is er juist meer leven en gezelligheid in de wijken buiten de pier, waar de lokale bevolking woont.

Reviewed Aug 30, 2026L'hôte Safan est vraiment accueillant et arrangeant ! Après avoir fait le tour de Kuala Besut je dirais que c'est la meilleure adresse de la ville pour une nuit et ensuite prendre le bateau pour les îles ce que nous avons fait au final. La chambre est propre.

Es un sitio muy modesto, suficiente para pasar una noche (pero no más). El baño es extremadamente pequeño.

Había un poco de humedad en la habitación pero nada importante.

Reviewed Aug 2, 2026El chico que nos atendió super amable, nos explicó todo y nos gestionó los tickets para el ferry del día siguiente a las Perhentians. El alojamiento está super cerca del puerto, a un paseo de 2 o 3 minutos, por lo que es super cómodo para ir con equipaje.
Nuestra habitación daba hacia el puerto, y entraba toda la luz de un patio que tiene decorado con luces, asi como el ruido a la noche de todos los barcos pesqueros que salen a faenar. Nada importante si no te molestan ruidos/luces.

Reviewed Jul 23, 2026De locatie naast de jetty is super handig. Ook eettentjes om de hoek. Prima voor een nacht als doorreis locatie naar de perhentions. Ook een goede airco in de kamer. Verder super vriendelijke gastheer.
De kamer is prima (airco, bedden, hygiëne) de inrichting niet heel gezellig. De douche is mini.

Estuvimos en una habitación que la TV y el TDT tenian conector a la corriente europeo, pero todos los puntos de corriente eran con requerian el tipo de conector habitual del país. Es una cosa que no acabamos de entender.

Reviewed Jul 4, 20261) Strategic location: The hotel’s location is very convenient. It is situated just behind the jetty for boats to the Perhentian Islands. The bus terminal is also within walking distance, about 750 meters away (around an 11-minute walk). 2) Exceptional hospitality: The staff, especially Zharfan, and the owner, Abe, were incredibly welcoming and friendly. They took the time to explain everything I needed to know about visiting the Perhentian Islands. When I arrived, Abe even mentioned that he could have picked me up from the bus terminal if I had let him know in advance. He also kindly asked whether I had already had lunch, which made me feel genuinely cared for. 3) Plenty of nearby amenities: There are many restaurants, convenience stores, and other shops within easy walking distance, making it very convenient to find food or anything you might need. 4) Comfortable and safe stay: I felt safe throughout my stay. The bed was comfortable, the pillows were supportive, and the bed linen was clean and fresh. The room was furnished with one double bed and one single bed, making it suitable for up to three guests.
1) The bathroom was clean, but it was quite cramped considering the price I paid. I wish it had been a bit larger so I could place my toiletries more comfortably. 2) Check-in is quite late (3:00 PM), although I suppose that’s fairly standard in Malaysia. 3) Breakfast was not available, although Abe asked me this morning whether I had already had breakfast. As far as I know, the hotel does not provide breakfast.

Reviewed Jun 23, 2026Easy check-in and check-out. Very well located, less than 5 minutes walking distance to the jetty pier to Perhentian islands. Some eateries and shops around, including a 7eleven.
The room and bathroom are very small. The room has 2 beds for 3 people but no space to actually move around 3 adults if the case. Ants coming from the bathroom constantly. The windows are there for nothing, all the noise coming in from outside easily, feels like they are wide open. No breakfast or any snack included in this price..

Reviewed Jun 6, 2026Wir waren nur eine Nacht hier, da wir am nächsten Morgen früh die Fähre zu den Perhentian Islands genommen haben, hatten aber einen wirklich tollen Aufenthalt. Der Gastgeber hat uns sogar zu einem Restaurant gefahren und uns lokale Spezialitäten gezeigt. Danach haben wir noch lange mit ihnen vor der Unterkunft geplaudert, wirklich sehr liebe Menschen! Wir haben uns sehr willkommen gefühlt und würden jederzeit wiederkommen.
