Dang dang Balbago Beach was one of the highlights of our trip. We wish we could've stayed longer. If you're looking for a peaceful off the beaten path escape, this is it! The simple bamboo huts are beautifully maintained, spotlessly clean and steps away from their beach. During our stay, we were lucky enough to stay in a beach hut with their newly built open air private bathroom, which was our favorite feature. What really makes this place special though, is the people. It's a family run business and you can feel the love and care that everyone puts into making guests feel welcome. Everyone was incredibly kind and hospitable and they cooked us a traditional Filipina dinner too. They went out of their way to collect us from the nearby port because the road access was limited owing to construction and rain damage. If you appreciate tranquility, hospitality and exclusivity without the crowds, I can't recommend this place enough!!

De rust, de eenvoud, het één zijn met de natuur. De afgelegenheid en toch bereikbaar met boot. Het was er ook heel netjes. Tante kookte het ontbijt en alles wat je van eten nodig hebt. De vriendelijkheid van Naidi en haar man. Ze regelden ook alles wat je nodig had (privé tour, boot, taxi, ferry die afgelast werd) Tjaka tjaka uit België😘

Misschien wat extra schaduwplaatsen. Het was ook extreem warm toen we er waren🥵

Absolute bliss. Dang Dang’s Beach front accommodation was a dream and provided the opportunity to totally disconnect. Naidy is an amazing host who also catered for my daughter’s dietary needs for every meal. The food was fabulous and we were so well fed. Thank you for such a beautiful stay.

The family that runs this are awesome, they were so nice to talk with and did a great job of making sure everything was comfortable for us. You cannot beat the beautiful sunrises right outside your bungalow and the chilled out, laid back beach experience. The food was great, and they will accommodate if you advise that you don’t eat seafood or whatever you need. The outdoor showers are dreamy and the water is surprisingly hot! The have equipment there for snorkelling, and although the shallows run a ways, there are some beautiful fish to look at in the sea grass and at the drop off near the bouys. The wifi was great. There are some lovely dogs about. One female dog who seemed stray was around and not doing well came by for food scraps. We tried to develop some trust but she was not ready for humans yet. Maybe she has puppies somewhere. Hoping someone can make some headway because she is beautiful and in need of some stability if anyone is looking for an adoption.

There is no a/c in the bungalows, just fans. We found it was enough for us with the ocean breeze. But if you are someone who tends to run hot it may be uncomfortable for you. I got my hair wet every night to stay cooler so I could sleep easily.

Nous avons beaucoup apprécié de rester 4 jours à dang dang.. Bungalows sur la plage, famille aux petits soins pour vous pendant le séjour : très bonne cuisine propreté de la plage et des parties communes activités notamment les iles linapacan, calme des lieux. Super nice remote spot, spend 5 days here to disconnect and it worked! The location offers fun tours, we went snorkelling, fishing and visited a local village nearby. Can only recommend!

Amazing place, far from touristic cities, calm, beautiful nature. Perfect IF you want to chill in the nature. Houses are great- not too hot from the sun, beautiful bed. Very clean.It has a good food as well and very sociable vibe- staff is super nice.

Maybe toilets could have some upgrade, but still this place feels like haven on earth

We spent time to carefully read what to expect of Dang Dang so we knew what it would be like: calm, relaxing, beautiful views, and quiet. We loved how our little hut faced the beach and we could see the sunrise from our bed. Everything is clean, aesthetic, and I particularly loved meeting the people (family members) who run the operation. I took a cooking class and learned how to make Chicken Adobo ( I think that’s what it’s called). We hung out in the hammocks and enjoyed the beach. You need to pay an additional charge to eat lunch and dinner. The family offers three different plates of food and rice at each meal for guests to choose from. It felt more like a home stay to us than being at a resort. If you’re open to trying local food and content to just “be” and not do much, then this is the perfect place to go. When you book, the owner will give explicit instructions of how to arrive and give suggestions of services to use. She can also help book mini vans or other means of transportation when you’re ready to leave. I’m travelling with my 18 year old daughter and we agree that this was one of our favourite spots on Palawan. Thank you, Naidy and family for a beautiful stay. ❤️

We loved our entire stay here, from the transfer by boat (we saw a turtle pass us by!) to the food, falling asleep to the sound of the ocean and the lovely people who hosted us. Our favourite place we stayed in the Philippines. Thankyou so much!

Un petit coin de paradis, parfait pour se reposer loin de l'agitation d'El Nido. Tout le monde nous a accueillis chaleureusement (coucou Wowai!). Nous avons regretté de n'y avoir passé qu'une nuit!

Das Essen bietet leider nur eine sehr geringe Auswahlmöglichkeit.. wenn man als Vegetarier nur die Wahl zwischen Reis und Nudeln hat, ist das für den geforderten Preis nicht angemessen. Cola Zero war verfügbar, was auch nicht selbstverständlich ist, allerdings nur 1 Tag. Die Anreise ist der größte Nachteil.. 5km über eine wirklich grenzwertige „Straße“.. muss man wissen und wollen. Besser wohl den angebotenen Transfer vom Hafen mit dem Boot nehmen.

De rust! Het aardige en persoonlijke contact met Naidi de gastvrouw. Zeer kleinschalig & gezamenlijk eten.

Par quoi commencer ? Avant toutes choses, parlons de l'humain. Nous sommes arrivés dans une famille, qui nous a tellement bien accueilli tout au long de notre séjour. Et même avant. Je pense avoir été un des clients les plus difficiles qu'ait eu Naidy. Je lui ai envoyé je ne sais pas combien de messages sur Booking.com, bien avant d'arriver, concernant l'organisation, pour qu'on vienne nous chercher, elle a toujours été gentille et positive. Son incroyable famille qui met tout en œuvre pour que nous soyons dans les meilleures conditions possibles. La plage est nettoyée dès le matin ( d'ailleurs nous avons longé la côte et nous avons trouvé que c'était le plus bel endroit et le plus propre). Les douches et sanitaires sont nettoyés plusieurs fois par jour, la nourriture était absolument incroyable, la meilleure et plus variée que nous ayons mangé depuis le début de nos vacances aux Philippines. Cette incroyable bonne humeur tout au long du séjour, malgré nos difficultés à dialoguer, notre anglais n'étant pas le meilleur. Les enfants jouant sur la plage et venant nous offrir des fleurs ( Raika et Jayden, désolé pour l'orthographe). Cette soirée karaoké avec des français rencontrés là bas et Naidy et sa famille, inoubliable 🥰. Et Wory ( désolé pour l'orthographe aussi 🤣). Il avait toujours le petit mot gentil, il nous a fait une démonstration de comment aller chercher des noix de coco, nous sommes partis avec lui sur une petite île à côté, vraiment touchant ☺️ Nous avons eu un pincement au cœur de devoir partir ce matin. Le lieu : Magique, quel coup de cœur ! On arrive et là on se retrouve dans un cadre sublime, des petits bungalows, face à la plage, beaucoup d'endroits pour profiter, chaises longues, hamacs, balancelle. Tout est fait pour pouvoir se reposer tranquillement. Le camp est nouveau, la végétation continue de pousser dans un super cadre. D'ailleurs, il y'a eu une naissance de bébés tortues.

Dang Dang Balbago Beach is the perfect place if you want peace and quiet. It’s right by the beach and far away from the hustle, so you can really switch off and relax. The sunrises were beautiful every morning. All the staff is very friendly and welcoming and the food was super delicious. The huts and beds are comfortable, and the toilets and showers were always very clean. We absolutely loved our stay and would definitely like to come back. Perfect vacation home!

Naidy et toute sa famille était très accueillants. La nourriture était bonne et variée et on pouvait relaxer en paix.

C’était situé très loin donc plus difficile de se rendre surtout en scooter/voiture sauf si vous êtes expérimentés. Aussi pour les day trip c’est 4h aller retour et c’est au moins 1000 pesos par personne pour se rendre à El Nido donc moins agréable.

Magnifique. Nous avons été reçus par notre hôte à 23h après un voyage rempli de péripéties. Quand nous sommes arrivés le repas et la chambre étaient prêts. L'emplacement est magique. L'idéal pour se poser loin de l'agitation de la ville. Merciiiii encore.

La famille qui vous accueille est d’une gentillesse et d’une bienveillance rares. On se sent immédiatement comme à la maison. Tous les bungalows ont été construits à la main par Dong, charpentier passionné. Malgré de très fortes pluies, pas une seule goutte à l’intérieur. Le lit est très confortable et la vue depuis le lit… tout simplement magique. Je n’ai qu’un seul regret : pourquoi ne pas être resté plus longtemps ? La nourriture cuisinée sur place est délicieuse — Masarap ! Malgré l’isolement, il y a beaucoup d’activités à faire : j’ai pu me faire masser sur la plage, bercé par le bruit des vagues, et partir apprendre la pêche au fil avec les locaux. Des moments simples, vrais, inoubliables. C’est sans aucun doute le plus bel endroit de mon voyage, et surtout ma plus belle expérience humaine. Merci infiniment à Naidy, Dong et à toute votre famille pour votre accueil, votre gentillesse et toutes vos attentions. Je repars le cœur lourd, mais la tête et le cœur remplis de souvenirs. Hindi ko kayo makakalimutan. 🇵🇭❤️

Un lieu magique, les bungalows sont directement sur la plage où vous trouverez sunbed et hamacs…. Les repas philippins sont excellents et variés .Naidy et son mari vous aideront pour votre transfert à l hôtel et pour tout ce que vous auriez besoin … Ils disposent de leur propre bateau pour faire des excursions au départ de l hôtel en tout petit groupe ce qui n’est pas négligeable…bref tout était vraiment merveilleux merci bcp naidy 😘je reviendrai…

Dang Dang is a true paradise and will make you forget the rest of the world while getting lost in the sound of the ocean. The entire crew / family is incredibly nice and makes sure your stay is unforgettable. It will transport you to a simpler life and one that is filled with enjoying what's immediately in front of you instead of worrying about what might come.We travelled with our 2 kids (3yr and 8yr) and they were not only welcomed but loved by all and had the time of their lives. I cannot recommend this place enough and will forever be a special place in our hearts.

There was nothing we didn't like but I will just let you know that it may be adventurous for some. There is no A/C but there is a fan I'm each room and the toilets don't flush in the traditional sense but it's really not that bad. If you've gone camping this won't be an issue to you. Again don't let that deter you and you won't regret it.

Everything that was said by the 10 stars opinions is true. Naidy, an excellent English speaker, and her family made me feel part of their community with so much warmth. The cleanliness of the place is exceptional as well as the food and the beauty of the place and the beach. Going there means also supporting great and brave people. Loved every moment there.

Это шикарный уединенный пляж для релакса и медитации. Наиди и её семья сделают ваш отдых комфортным и незабываемым. Они прекрасно готовят блюда национальной кухни, всегда было очень вкусно. А какой массаж делают прямо на пляже - проминают все косточки. В общем, все понравилось, провёл неделю наедине с природой и не жалею ни о чем)

Great place to stay for a few nights away from busy El Nido. The huts are very cosy, food is tasty and they offer some boat trips. Very friendly staff!

- Beach is not the best - Not food menu to choose - The boat is complementary only on arrival or departure, mind that so there is no misunderstanding once explained the facilities and stay

Super smukt beliggende hytter helt tæt på stranden. Primitivt men velfungerende og super velholdt og rent. Fantastisk mad! Virkelig autentisk og lækkert - både morgenmad, frokost og aften. Super hjælpsomme værter, som sørgede godt for os. Mulighed for rigtig fine bådture, arrangeret af værterne, med snorkling. En super god oplevelse, hvis man vil helt ned i gear. Det tager ca. 1,5 time fra El Nido, hvoraf de 30 min er med båd.

We had an amazing time at Dangdang Beach, about an hour and a half from El Nido. The place is truly special — peaceful, beautiful, and perfect for relaxing. The lovely young couple who runs the place took such good care of us. They were warm, attentive, and made us feel at home from the moment we arrived. The food was delicious, everything was nicely prepared, and we really appreciated how thoughtful they were throughout our stay. We’re happy to share a few photos because this spot deserves to be seen! If you’re looking for a quiet, beautiful getaway with genuinely kind hosts, we can highly recommend Dangdang Beach. Beautiful property and amazing hosts. They went out of their way to arrange a pick up at a late time. Also had dinner waiting for me. One of the best fish dishes I had in the Philippines. It’s family run and you can tell they care. I would have loved to stay longer

Décor de rêve, hôte accueillant et chaleureux. La cuisine est très bonne et local. Parfait pour des voyageurs qui veulent se laisser guider, un peu moins pour les solitaires. Une fois sur la plage il faut dépendre de l’hôte pour les activités et pour en sortir, avec un certain coût. (le typhon a fait des dégâts et la route était impraticable) Un grand merci à Dang dang

Cudowne miejsce, wspaniali ludzie. Totalny chillout. Miejsce na uboczu, ciche, spokojne. Właściciele bez problemu zorganizują transwer, masaże, wycieczki z El Nido oraz własne. Koniecznie polecam skorzystać z posiłków oferowanych na miejscu. Jedzenie przygotowywane z miejscowych produktów jest pyszne, kuchnia filipińska pokazuje w tym miejscu jak może być dobra. Spędziłem tam cudowny czas i mam nadzieję że kiedyś uda się mi tam wrócić.

Allt man behöver finns där, personalen har verkligen tänkt på allt som kan behövas för att ha en toppen avkopplande vistelse i naturen. Utöver det: jättegod hemmalagad mat, aktiviteter om man vill hitta på något, utedusch+toalett med hygienartiklar. Naidy tog verkligen hand om oss. Löste även transfer! Rekommenderar verkligen, en upplevelse utan dess like!

Hade varit skönt med wi-fi på rummet men å andra sidan var det charmen i att kunna koppla av. Du är nära naturen så förvänta dig en del insekter runt om.

We had a real great time here, Nady and her family have been very welcoming and friendly. She also helped us on transport (they drove us to San Fernando with their boat for a very reasonable price) and had helpful recommendations on what to do in the area. Everything was new (just a few months old) and very clean. Also a very quiet area.

Really nothing to complain about. We would have preferred an option with private bathroom. But since the shared ones were clean that was not a problem for us.

Everything! Complete escapism. If you really want to get away from it all, this is the place. Beautiful resort in an amazing location with the most incredible hosts. Tours to go on if you want, mainly island hopping, I did nothing but relax and chill. Great food, breakfast is included, lunch and dinner are optional extras but there are no restaurants nearby so take plenty of cash with you as there are also no ATMs anywhere close to the resort. I must thank the German couple I met in Puerto Princesa who recommended Dang Dang at Balbago Beach otherwise I would not have made it there. I will, at some point be back to meet up with Naidy, Dong and their fabulous family again. Also to see how big Whitey the puppy has got and to see if he remembers my whistle! I didn't just dislike Lorna and Bob, I hated them as did all the other guests. They were the only disappointment and fortunately they left after one night, much to everyone's delight. Naidy, if you get 'customers' like that again call the police and get the correct amount of money out of them, threaten them with jail if you have to. They left having swindled you out of about 140USD and that is not right. Please note, everyone out there, that if a negative review appears from Lorna Tangara or Bob, both from New Jersey, (didn't find out his surname) they are just a pair of con-artists. They haggled every price, the sort of behaviour that's ok with street hawkers, but not when the prices are listed for all to see. They had even asked for a generator to be provided for Bob's night time oxygen and said they weren't paying for it! (I would have cut the tube) I've been to every continent on the planet and there are some great Americans, but this pair, in my humble opinion, were the worst. Loud, overbearing, arrogant, ignorant, classless and clueless would go some way to describing them, but there could be so much more even without resorting to using swear words, oops nearly forgot 'sanctimonious'. Not the fault of the resort owners at all. I'm sure Lorna and Bob have forged a trail through South East Asia making themselves unpopular wherever they go. Stay at home Lorna and Bob, in the USA, where behaviour like yours is considered normal, you nasty, hateful pair. Lorna, if you happen to read this, I have your business card. I had to get it out the trash where they had all been thrown. (4 or 5 of them) I know where you work (sic) and can easily write reviews on google maps and your website.

I had a wonderful stay at dang dang. The location is perfect for relaxing by the beach and the view from the huts is amazing, so nice watching sunrise from bed. The family are all so lovely, especially Joy who was always checking in with me to see if I needed anything. Would definitely recommend!

I had the best holiday in my life!!! I needed a peaceful, quiet, beautiful place with delicious food far away from crowds. I've found it all there plus on top I felt so welcome and looked after. Anything I wanted Naidy and her family was trying to help me with. Nothing was a problem. They helped me a lot with transport from Puerta Princesa both ways. As a single female traveller I felt SAFE staying and dealing with them! Unique experience when you can sleep nearly on the beach in your little bamboo house. Sea view AMAZING from you bed. Hospitality, help, FUN 11 out of 10 :-) Cleanness 10 out of 10 Location 10 out of 10 PARADISE ON EARTH it's how I can describe my experience with them. I can't wait to come back there ASAP. I love it so much.

This place is absolutely wonderful. The family feel and the remote beach location and simplicity of life.

Great location! Very quiet, peaceful and clean place. A secluded place perfect for rest and relaxation. A wonderful family taking care of this unique place. And the cuisine is the best I've ever eaten in the Philippines :)

Nothing really

Loved everything! Absolutely lovely family, from the very start it felt like staying at home. They cooked delicious meals with meat/fish/veggies/salads. The room and the bed were very comfortable. The surroundings are absolutely mesmerizing, with great snorkeling spots and pristine beaches! This place is perfect if you want to relax, feel deeply connected to nature and get a great local experience (they'll show you plenty of things!).

Our stay at Dang Dang Resort exceeded all our expectations! The resort is even better than it looks in the photos. The place has so much charm, with every detail thoughtfully designed. The meals were always different and delicious, and everything was impeccably clean and comfortable. We loved the chance to unwind, enjoying massages and cooking classes guided by the amazing Naidy and Chiny. While the location is a bit remote, we actually appreciated the chance to disconnect and spend time offline. We even had fun playing volleyball during our stay! They also were super clear about the ways to get there since it could be a bit though. We absolutely hope to come back in the future!

The internet is limited and there was no signal for Smart but we thought this was more a positive point since we wanted to disconnect. (Dito has good signal tho)

I was looking for a getaway place and found the perfect spot. Dang dang is a mini-resort right at the beach - a very peaceful and relaxing place. Naidy and her husband are super friendly and try to make the stay as pleasant as possible. The meals Naidy cooks gave me a new perspective on the Philippine cuisine. Loved it. And it was even possible to do a cooking class on traditional Philippine dishes with Naidy. I can really recommend this place - if you’re looking for a quiet spot / away from typical tourist spots.
