Four season Guest house

Dobrá poloha, mali sme krajnú izbu s bočným výhľadom na oceán. Veľmi blízko pláže, centra s reštauráciami ("promenáda")a potravín, napriek tomu to bola tichá lokalita bez mestského ruchu.

V kúpeľni zapáchala kanalizácia - začalo to asi až po treťom dni nášho pobytu. Slabšie raňajky, v porovnaní s iným ubytovaním, ktoré sme za posledné týždne na Srí Lanke absolvovali, boli aj menšie porcie. Občas nás v noci prebudili psy na ulici, čo samozrejme ubytovanie nevie ovplyvniť.

Value for money. Nice Sri Lankan breakfast with egg hoppers. A western alternative also available. Close to the beach. Kettle and fridge in room. Nice balcony.

Very noisy in the room when anyone put their water on. Dogs barking through the night. Not the homestays problem, but meant a few bad nights sleep.

Cozy and spotlessly clean stay with comfortable beds and the best possible location in Medaketiya, Tangalle. The smell of the room and the towells was amazing! A lot of food and café options within 5 mins of walking.

Hier stimmte (fast) alles! Die Unterkunft ist sehr gepflegt. Die Betten sind super bequem! Die Wände sind sauber (kürzlich gestrichen), ein nagelneues tolles Moskitonetz, Klimaanlage und (leiser) Deckenventilator sowie ein so leiser Kühlschrank im Zimmer, dass er nicht beim Schlafen stört. Das Haus ist durchdacht! Die Zimmer sind alle schräg gebaut, sodass sie nicht die langweilige viereckige Form aufweisen. Die leicht schräge Anordnung sorgt für einen besseren, wenn auch nur seitlichen Meerblick. Auch der Balkon ist ein Pluspunkt. Er verfügt über einen guten Sonnenschutz und wir haben zwischendurch gerne dort gesessen. Das Frühstück ist klasse, wir haben uns jeden Morgen darauf gefreut und man kann aus 3 Versionen wählen. Die Gastgeber sind super freundlich, hilfsbereit und flexibel! Sie verleihen auch einen Roller zum fairen Preis. Die Lage ist top. Etwas zurück versetzt, so hört man weniger von der eh nicht stark befahrenen kleinen Küstenstraße. Wir sind jeden Tag mit Meeresrauschen eingeschlafen und erholt aufgewacht.

Auf der gegenüberliegenden Seite liegt etwas Bauschutt. Das trübt den seitlichen Meerblick. Es wäre schön, wenn dies weggeräumt würde . Vielleicht kann man auch ein paar kleine Pflanzen an der Straßenrand setzen. Dann wäre auch der Ausblick noch schöner.

The cost-effectiveness of this price is really not high. To be honest, I think there should be better accommodation conditions at this price. The facilities are also very old. I saw unknown insects in the room

This guest house was clean and comfortable. Each room has a private balcony with sea views. The Sri Lankan breakfast is delicious. The owner and her family were kind and helpful. The accommodation is well located close to the beach and many restaurants. I would highly recommend staying here.

Perfect stay! Right next to the beach, beautiful clean rooms and a really friendly family running the guest house. They helped us rent a scooter for real cheap and made some really helpful suggestions on where to go and where to eat etc. highly recommend this place!

We had a great stay here! The room was lovely, the owners very kind, and it was located close to many great restaurants and ocean areas. Everything was clean and the bed very comfortable. We wished we could have stayed longer! Would absolutely recommend to anyone.

I liked everything! Close to the beach and shops and city centre. Hosts perfect and caring. Peaceful place ! No noise around and thats what i like. Really good price for what you get.

The owners are very nice and welcoming, ready to help with everything.Location is really good: very close to the beach and restaurants, 1 minute walk from the main street, on a smaller street which is quiet during night.Room was okay,having all what you might need for a short stay, including fan and AC.We slept so well in the sound of the waves.Breakfast was very good and varied.Tangalle is a nice destination,much more cleaner and calm than neighbouring Mirrisa.

Location. The property is close to the beach. The family who run it are lovely. It is very clean, great air con, great shower, comfortable bed.

I want to give a big thank you to the hosts for being very approachable and welcoming me in their great accommodation. A few steps away from a wonderful beach that you can hear all nights as well. Close to a variety of great cafes, restaurants and activities (eg I took a yoga class just down the promenade). Very clean and comfortable room. The host family also very smoothly organised a safari to Udawalawe and transfer to Ella for me. For me, an ideal place to stay in Tangalle.

Nothing that bothered me really. Maybe a sealed bin would be useful, as some ants do get in the room when you leave anything sweet (eg even opened supplement wrappers) out in the open

This is a top place to stay! We enjoyed so much staying three nights in here. Owners with their lovely family are so kind and cheerful. They helped us with everything we needed such as renting a scooter and some tips what to do in Tangalle. Everything works well: warm water, air conditioning, wifi etc. Location is perfect and guesthouse is really clean. Breakfast was super delicious and they had several options for it. Thank you so much for everything! If we ever come back to Sri Lanka we will definitely come back to this guesthouse.

An amazing stay with Hamasha and her husband. The accommodation is just a short walk from the beach, with plenty of restaurants nearby. It’s a quiet place. Everything was clean and like new. The hosts were very helpful with everything we needed. The breakfast was excellent, and they also arranged a trip to see sea turtles laying eggs and organized our transfer to the next destination. Thank you!

The location is really good and view is nice! Rooms are clean and there are big fluffy towels. A fridge is available. The owners are very friendly and have good tips for restaurants etc.

Only smell in bathroom

We had a wonderful stay at Four Season Guest House! The family running it is very friendly, welcoming and open. Our kid was invited to play with all the toys of their kids and we had some lovely conversations. The guest house is very clean and location is only 2 min walk to the beach! Breakfast was lovely, very filling and good coffee as well :) We would definitely stay again when in Tangalle!

Only one small thing to improve; although staying for three nights there was no room cleaning or free extra water available. Also the water consumed during breakfast was added to the bill.

The owner is a really nice lady with a lovely family. The rooms were clean, and the bathroom was nicely renovated. The towels were big and super soft. The air conditioner worked well. Breakfast options included Sri Lankan or international, which was great. The location is fantastic, just 1 minute from the beach, and you can hear the ocean in the room. There's a small fridge in the common area for drinks. They provided shower gel and shampoo. The owner even offered a scooter, making our stay really good. In fact, we extended our stay for two more nights.

Nice house, nice family, big bedroom with a lot of sunlight coming in, nice balcony (shared with the other guests but this part is kind of isolated frome the others because of a bend, so almost private balcony). Nice washroom with hot shower. A little fridge in the common area. Welcome tea and fresh juice for the kids 50 m from the beach and a lot of restaurants/shops/bars....

The aircon was dripping, still working but then the floor is wet. Will fix it.

Beautiful clean room and bathroom Perfect location...1 minute walk to beach but away from the beach bars and restaurants. So nice to feel a part of a family rather than a wallet. Extremely comfortable bed.

The accommodation has a great value for the price compared to others, we highly recommend staying here. Clean and recently renovated, the air conditioning was a lifesaver and we could comfortably work from the room as well. The family is very welcoming and respectful and the breakfast was also delicious.
