Non è presente l'aria condizionata ed io che soffro molto il caldo un pò ne ho risentito, ma ripeto è stata una prenotazione fatta di corsa e per fortuna c'era una camera libera.
Con una sola notte non mi sento di dare consigli.

Trattandosi di una struttura comunque vecchia, i bagni sono un pochino retro', soprattutto lo sciacquone può risultare rumoroso per le camere vicino, ma è un dettaglio assolutamente marginale.

Reviewed Aug 25, 2026Très bien situé près des villages touristiques dans un lieu paisible avec un joli jardin et le charme des vieilles pierres. La jeune fille à la réception était charmante et nous a réservé nos restaurants du soir car peu de restaurateurs parlent anglais dans la région. La cour centrale pour le petit déjeuné est charmante et ils peuvent servir à boire aussi en journée. Thé et café à disposition.
Nos deux chambres étaient dans l'annexe, une double et une de trois pour les enfants. Elles étaient cependant assez désuètes et les salles de bain très anciennes bien que propres. Pas mal de grosses araignées que nous avons du écraser ainsi qu'un scorpion. Un rafraîchissement des chambres et salles de bain serait à prévoir.

Posizione strategica per raggiungere comodamente i punti di maggiore interesse. L’assenza di aria condizionata non è stata assolutamente un problema.
Il Wi-Fi non funziona benissimo. I bagni seppur assolutamente efficienti, potrebbero essere un po ammodernati.

Le personnel est très serviable : l'accueil m'a aidé à préparer l'itinéraire de visite de ma journée. Bien qu'il n'y ait plus de restaurant, il est possible de commander un apéritif ou de se préparer du thé ou du café 24h/24h. Le petit déjeuner ( buffet) est varié. L'hôtel vous donne une liste de restaurants à proximité. La propreté des chambres est irréprochable et la literie très confortable.

Posizione perfetta per chi vuole rilassarsi in un posto silenzioso ed immerso nella natura. Vista sugli Appennini favolosa. La camera ampia e accogliente, letto decisamente comodo, ideale dopo una lunga giornata passata a camminare. Colazione molto varia sia per dolce che per salato e tutto di ottima qualità. Consigliatissimo!

Non c'è aria condizionata ma non ne abbiamo sentito la necessità, di notte la temperatura è ok. Lo staff è stato molto disponibile a preparare la nostra colazione "al sacco" molto prima dell'orario regolare. In 40 minuti raggiungi campo imperatore.

I letti. Materassi e cuscini scomodissimi. Per una struttura così, di questo livello, suggerirei veramente una seria riflessione sul comfort dei letti.

Reviewed Jun 8, 2026Convento di San Colombo is a truly special place, set within a beautifully restored former monastery. The building itself is outstanding, and the surrounding landscape is simply breathtaking. The views are spectacular, including those of the nearby village of Barisciano. All the amenities provided were excellent, and the breakfast was exceptional. There was a wide variety of savory and sweet options, including fresh fruit, local cheeses, homemade cakes, muesli, eggs, and, of course, good coffee. The staff were welcoming, accommodating, and always willing to help, which made the stay even more enjoyable. Overall, a unique and memorable stay that I would highly recommend.
The only minor downside I can think of is related to the building's historic architecture. Sound can carry through the hallways, so if other guests are chatting on their way to their rooms or lingering in the corridors, you may occasionally hear some noise. However, this was only a small inconvenience in what was otherwise an outstanding experience.

It isn't that I did not like it, but the WiFi signal is not the best. However, you're staying in an ancient convent with thick walls, so what do you expect?

Grandes chambres à la décoration épurée , très pratiques notamment rangement vêtements , et bien chauffées ! Ce que nous avons fort apprécié même en mai … il a neigé ! Mention spéciale au DÉLICIEUX petit déjeuner , ultra complet ( sans gluten , charcuteries et pâtisseries locales , fruits … ) et au très gentil service . Literie parfaite , grande sdb . Parking gratuit . Nous avons hâte de y retourner … en hiver !

Struttura perfettamente ristrutturata nel rispetto della sua storia di convento francescano. Colazione buona, sia salata che dolce. Staff gentilissimo e sempre disponibile. In pochi minuti di auto si arriva a Santo Stefano di Sessanio e Rocca Calascio. Posizione ideale per visitare il parco naturale del Gran Sasso, rilassandosi e godendosi un paesaggio incantevole.

Reviewed May 24, 2026I loved the location of this hotel. It has a beautiful terraced garden with fabulous mountain scenery. The hosts were very friendly and informative. We ate from the bar menu one evening and enjoyed the local lentil soup, followed by mixed hams and cheeses and freshly baked focaccia.
We were disappointed to discover that the half board option was not available during our stay however this meant that we tried several local restaurants which were recommended by our hosts.

Vynikající kvalitní snídaně se vším, co je potřeba včetně vajíček na přání a obsluha s kávou na přání a s tichou vkusnou hudbou. Vůně ručně vyráběných mýdel na chodbách s klenbami. Celkově pozitivní nálada a genius loci.
Poněkud malý sprchový kout, a - potěšily by lépe odhlučněné dveře od WC, ale to jsou detaily.

Bella vista sulle montagne della zona, comodo parcheggio, ottima colazione, Wi-Fi , sala con tè ed infusi e la possibilità di acquistare prodotti della zona. Staff davvero gentile e disponibile.
