Dower Cottage, Edenvale

Super cottage propre et décoré avec goût. Endroit vraiment safe et près de bon restaurant

We had a fantastic stay at Dower Cottage in Edenvale. We arrived late after getting stuck in traffic, but the host was very pleasant and welcoming. The place was spotless, beautiful and had everything we needed. We felt very comfortable throughout our stay. The location is also great, close to OR Tambo, Greenstone Mall and the Woodmead Factory Shops. We would definitely recommend Dower Cottage and will happily stay here again!

The only small issue was that, due to the weather conditions and arriving late, we struggled to get hot water

Our stay was very comfortable, the cottage was so spacious and well equiped. We even had our own garage. Will definitely book here again.

There is nothing to complain about the cottage, Its the wifi that is so bad but that is Johannesburg in general.

The beautiful house is located in a perfect position ! We went to Ellis park to watch the Rugby plus had to leave 2 nights later from the airport, which is not even 15 min away. The neighborhood is excellent, as we love to go to some of the restaurants in Linksfield, especially George’s Steakhouse which is around the corner . The house and parking is very safe with an electric gate plus a garage , all located in a guarded community. The accomodation is very well equipped even for a longer stay , with 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms it’s ideal for a couple with 2 kids , or 4 adults . It also has a lovely area to sit outside if temperatures allow …Everything is clean and well planned. The owner was on site to give us the keys although we arrived 2 hours before official check in time. This was very much appreciated because we still had to take an Uber and meet with friends to go to the stadium. We’ll definitely try to be back .. with or without attending a Rugby match. ..

Handy location for the purposes of our stay in Joburg. Host was very accommodating and responsive to requests. Cottage had everything we needed and was very clean. Overall felt very comfortable and safe.

Everything about this property and stay was great and exceeded our expectations. The owner communicated with us via WhatsApp prior to arrival and checked in with us to make sure that we did not need anything. The decor was tasteful. The property was spotless, clean and very secure. Luxury finishing in the bathrooms and luxury bedding. Everything we needed for a self catering apartment was available to us. There were even some small little touches that showed you that the owner really cares about their guests. From welcome chocolates on the bed to rusks, tea and coffee for our use. I would highly recommend this property to anyone that wants to have a peaceful stay.

Completely self-contained unit. Modern, comfortable, very secure and within easy walking distance of shops & restuarants. Close to OR Tambo International as well and the washing machine was a blessing !! :-)

Nothing we didn't like. Maybe one suggestion.....it would have been great to have a small safe (combination type...as used in hotels to secure valuables (cash, passports etc) to save having to carry them with you.

Clean and had everything you need to feel like you at home

Het was erg schoon en heel leuk ingericht. De kamers hadden een airco en de bedden waren voor ons heerlijk en niet te hard. Je auto kan je ook privé parkeren. En Kathy is een erg vriendelijke dame.

Very spacious apartment, clean and comfortable

The property was clean, spacious and The Host was great

Firstly, I really liked it, and I would stay there again. It's attached to the main house so convenient to chat to the owner who is extremely pleasant. 1. Exceptionally clean and neat 2. It is two bedrooms and two bathrooms. 3. Linen and towels very neat and clean 4. All facilities you need are there in terms of the unit. It is in a gated Estate and can be a slight drive out but very safe.

It’s modern, clean, uncluttered - looks exactly as the photos. The kitchen is well-equipped, the beds are comfortable and the linen and towels are excellent quality. We loved the little extras such as tea, coffee, milk and snacks. The property and areas are safe and the hosts are lovely. We’ll definitely return and will be recommending the cottage to others looking to stay in the area.

Great location. Breaksfast was not included for my stay option. However the rusks were a nice touch, it filled me enough to get to breaksfast time. Bathrooms were supurb and loved the clean and white bed linen. Very neat and presentable unit. Also big enough for a family of 4. Great wifi. Will gladly stay there again.

It’s a very comfortable cozy cottage, we had a lovely time, it’s a home away from home . Everything is well thought out. Kathy is so welcoming and she offered her assistance whenever we might need it but fortunately everything was in order

There’s nothing to not like about this place

Modernised, very neat, secured and easy to find

We appreciated how well looked after we were, a lovely basket of treats and a fully stocked coffee station welcomed us. We were able to do our washing, use the laundry facilities with ease. The Wifi was top notch and the entire cottage was LUXURIOUS! We felt so treated and our stay at Dower Cottage has ruined all other accommodation for us as they cannot compare.

It was a beautiful place to stay. Very clean. the neighbourhood was very safe. All basic necessities were available - cleaning equipment, cooking equipment etc. It was very comfortable for a group of friends to stay at.

This light and airy cottage is extremely well appointed with brand new plush white towels , white percale linen , super comfortable bed and pillows , and down inners . We both slept dreamy !! The decor is beautifully done. Everything is so tasteful with cute fresh potplants in every room, little snacks as a treat . Kathy is a friendly host and clearly went to extra lengths to provide a safe and beautiful home away from home. The kitchen is well stocked with a full size fridge and everything you need for a short term or long term stay . We would most definitely stay here again . It's central to the main shopping centres and the airport . Close to the highways . Thank you so much Kathy !

Beautifully decorated. Safe and within walking distance to a very well maintained shopping and restaurant area. The highway is only 5min. away and the airport 20min. which makes this a very convenient place to stay. Kathy was a wonderful hostess. We will definitely be back.

The garden area could be a bit bigger and greener. But that’s just a minor detail.

The offer was ~R1900 when I booked, and then when I was debited, it was over R2200. How is it possible that I what is advertised is not what I paid? Is this the error of Booking.com or the owner. I am very upset about this and nothing has been done about it.

Beautiful cottage with everything you need. Felt very safe. Close to two shopping malls and O R Tambo and we walked to the shopping Centre that has a number of restaurants and spar. Will definitely stay here again. Kathy answered messages straight away and collecting and dropping keys was very easy.

The apartment is beautifully decorated and attention to detail given to everything. Aircon throughout was a real bonus and very much appreciated.

Beautiful modern property, with everything you might need. Well designed , loved the attention to detail . We booked for the night, the beds were very comfortable and the linen clean. Located at a safe gated community . I highly recommend. Kathy is such a delightful host very soft spoken.
