Reviewed Aug 27, 2026La chambre était belle et propre. L'accueil pas le propriétaire était très bien. L'intérieur de la maison est très beau. Le lit était confortable. Le petit déjeuner était simple mais très apprécié.
Il n'y a pas de ventilateur dans la salle de bain, donc beaucoup de buée lorsque nous prenions une douche. C'est quand même loin du centre-ville, mais nous en étions conscients.

No soap in shower. One hand towel for 2 of us. Pillows were lumpy, hard and old. No tea and coffee facilities in room so had to go downstairs for same. No skimmed milk. Butter for breakfast was left out over night and was sour by breakfast. Weren't informed where to leave key when leaving. No interaction after arrival.

The decor in the bedroom was a little tired ie paint was chipped in places on the walls. The ceiling over French doors leading from dining room to garden was water damaged and paint was flaking and peeling off the ceiling. There was screen put in front of the doors which was also water stained. A little unfortunate as this was room where breakfast was served.

Reviewed Jul 25, 2026War leicht zu finden . Nettes Haus , schönes Zimmer . Sehr freundlicher Gastgeber . Es wird im Speisezimmer ein kleines aber feines Frühstück angeboten . Café , Tee, Milch , Saft , Cerealien , Toast , Käse, Wurst, Marmelade. In Galway war grad ein Festival und das war soooo schön.
Es war schade , dass es im Zimmer keine Sitzgelegenheit gibt . Platz ist genug .

Reviewed Nov 12, 2025No breakfast was provided. The owner left some bread, fruit and milk in the former diningroom and the arrangement was 'self service'
The whole set up was unprofessional. Had I been with my wife she would have not have stayed and we would have moved to a hotel. The bedroom looked as if it hadn't been cleaned properly. I assume the duvet cover had been laundered but it was slightly stained. The bathroom was badly arranged and not adequately stocked. It's someone's private house with the guy trying to make a few quid to pay his mortgage. I wouldn't stay there again or recommend to anyone else.

Reviewed Sep 2, 2025Una estada meravellosa, el Michael és una persona molt maca que ens va ajudar en tot moment i que ens va fer bons consells i suggeriments. L'habitació és molt gran, tot molt net, el llit és molt confortable i el bany està també perfecte. Molt recomanable!
Caminant està un pèl allunyat del centre i de l'estació de tren, i els autobusos fallen una mica, però això ja ho sabíem i ens va avisar l'amfitrió, res a dir.

Reviewed Sep 1, 2025It was easy to get to and from Galway Center and the Prom. Host was great, had a lot of recommendations Beautiful building down a quiet driveway and close to a bus stop. Taxi ride to town was about 12€.
Could have been a bit cleaner and the breakfast could’ve had more variety. I would still stay there again though.

Reviewed Aug 22, 2025We had a great stay at this accommodation in Galway. The place was very clean, spacious, and extremely comfortable. One of the big pluses was the free private parking, which made things much easier since we had a car. The location is also very convenient — you can either walk to the city center or take public transport, depending on your preference. It's close enough to enjoy everything Galway has to offer without being in a noisy area. Breakfast was self-service, with a nice selection: yoghurts, juice, toast with ham and cheese, butter, jams, tea, and coffee. It was simple but more than enough to start the day. The host was fantastic and gave us plenty of great recommendations for pubs and restaurants in the city, which really helped us make the most of our visit.

La casa è stupenda e nonostante non offra un servizio di colazione con cose cucinate, mette a disposizione una bella sala con frigo fornito di tutto, tostapane, macchina per caffè ecc. Quindi per me è a tutti gli effetti una colazione inclusa. In generale ottima esperienza

We went to the diving platform that Michael recommended and a couple of other spots and they were all great! It was our favorite stop of our short road trip by far. We all thought we should’ve stayed two nights instead of just one.

Reviewed Jul 19, 2025Das Zimmer liegt in einer großen Villa in Salthill. Es ist geschmackvoll eingerichtet, angenehm groß und durch eine große Fensterfront hell. Die Gardinen sind dicht, sodass man gut schlafen kann und nicht durch Helligkeit aufwachen muß, auch ist es sehr ruhig. Das Bad ist ensuite. Michael ist um seine Gäste bemüht und gab uns gute Tipps, was das Essen und Ausflüge betrifft. Hervorzuheben ist, dass es im Erdgeschoss einen großen Raum mit Esstisch, Kühlschrank, Kaffee- und Tee- zubehör gibt, auch sind für die Gäste Milch, Wasser, Orangensaft, Früchte, Toast etc. da, sodass man sich sogar ein Frühstück machen kann. Auch könnte man dort sitzen, falls man im Urlaub Fernsehen will. Uns hat es sehr gefallen, man ist zu Fuß in 15 Min. an der Promenade am Meer von Salthill und vielen Pubs und Restaurant, braucht also nicht nach Galway zu fahren, wenn man es etwas ruhiger haben möchte. Der Fußweg dorthin ist auch sehr angenehm, da man durch ein ruhiges Villenviertel läuft. Das Auto kann direkt am Haus abgestellt werden. Wichtig ist, dass man sich die Angaben vom Wirt genau durchliest, sich tatsächlich am genannten Hotel orientiert, welches sich etwa 100m vor( wenn man von Galway kommt) des Taylor Hill Guesthouses liegt, da es am Anfang der Straße noch ein B&B mit dem Namen Taylor Hill gibt.

Reviewed Jun 24, 2025It’s a beautiful house located in the Salthill area. Quiet and comfortable, but close enough to my activities in the old town that I ended up walking everywhere.
No real complaints about the property. If I had one wish it would be for the driveway entrance off of Taylor’s Hill Rd to have some kind of curved mirror to look at when pulling my car onto the road. It’s a blind turn and cars whip around the corner there. That being said, most folks drive slow in the area on account of the narrow streets.

Reviewed Jun 13, 2025Michael is a fantastic host. Nothing is too much trouble and his suggestions for local trips, restaurants and activities are excellent. The house is located outside Galway city but a short bus ride takes you to the heart of the city.. A 15 minute walk takes you to Salt hills, so the location is excellent, peaceful but connected. Michael provides all the ingredients for a good serve yourself breakfast. Our room was extremely clean and the bed was comfortable. An extremely good property at this price.
Our room was a little tired in terms of decoration, though it was extremely clean and comfortable. We understand that other rooms benefit from recent refurbishment.

Reviewed May 28, 2025Michael was amazing. The place was great. Clean, quiet and his knowledge of local restuarants and bars was greatly appreciated. He was quick to help with our heavy bags and always available to help. Even drove us to a local place for dinner.
Honestly the only issue we had was finding the place. Signage could be better, but I don't know code restrictions where he's located. We eventually found it.

SfeerloosDe ontvangst was kil en zajelijk. Geen hulp bij de koffers naar boven brengen. Ongeduldige norse gastheer. Een huis zonder sfeer en moeilijk te bereiken via een zeer drukke weg waar geen aanwijzingen stonden. Geen stoel of tafel in de kamer. De douche had een heel klein straaltje zodat he niet he haar kon wassen. Een zeer onvriendelijke nukkige gastheer.
