Watergate Villa- Siargao Island

Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this propert. I had ants repeatedly appearing inside my bed throughout my three-night stay. On the first night, I woke up around 3 AM because of itching and discovered numerous ants in my bed. I immediately reported the problem to the owner. They tried cleaning, changing the linens, using ant spray/powder and even replacing the mattress, but the problem kept returning. I was eventually moved to another room, but within minutes there were ants on the bed there as well. The owner even witnessed ants being blown from the air conditioning directly onto the bed. Instead of treating the situation with the seriousness and professionalism it required, the response was dismissive and inappropriate. I was essentially told “this is the jungle,” as if having ants in the bed was something I should simply accept. The way the owner handled the situation was extremely disappointing. I was dealing with a serious hygiene issue, had barely been able to sleep, and instead of receiving a proper solution or even basic empathy, I felt that my concerns were being minimized and dismissed. After three nights of this, I had no choice but to leave the property and pay for a significantly more expensive accommodation elsewhere, which seriously affected my vacation. The situation regarding the refund has been equally disappointing. The owner initially promised me a cash refund, but this was never provided. I then contacted Booking.com as instructed. Booking.com later informed me that they had contacted the property regarding my refund, but the property has not even responded to Booking.com. At this point, I am still waiting for the money I was promised. The dismissive attitude, lack of proper responsibility, and failure to honor the promised refund made an already unacceptable experience even worse. I would strongly advise future guests to think twice before booking this property.

Ruim verblijf met keuken waardoor je zelf kunt koken. Personeel had taxi geregeld vanaf de airport naar verblijf. Ligging is goed, niet de druk aan de hoofdstraat maar wel dichtbij.

De airco was niet schoon, en alleen in de slaapkamer. De rest van het verblijf was daardoor erg warm. We misten een wasrekje om kleding te drogen. Contact gehad met personeel via de app, maar nooit gezien.

Clean, cozy, modern and big room. The place has only two rooms, si it makes it really calm. One of the best rooms in the trip. The location is great ig you wanna surf and stay away from the super crowded Genereral Luna (only 5 min by moto).

Loved the size of the room, classy feel, ensuite, free water tankard, quiet peaceful unit located close to cloud 9. Host was very easy to contact and quick to respond. Located next to broken board.

Bit pricey but you pay for what you get and I have no regrets. Difficult to find attached night due to lack of street light or signage.

the admission process is lacking structure and clarity- some improvement there will make it excellent! there were also some maintenance issues with plumbing which were fortunately addressed quickly.

The opposite of cozy. Unpractical apartment. Cold water. Way too expensive, compared to every other places on the Phillippines for what you get.
