River view was fantastic. Room with a vintage style.

Unsecured and noise from other guest footsteps frm room above as the inn is a wooden flooring. The entrance was quite difficult to find both front n back. Room wasn’t secured without a door ledge lock, moreover no in house security . And the additional charge of RM50 for cleaning is way to high.

Everything. We opened the door and the place smells bad, like it's been closed for many mths and we felt uncomfortable when we were in there for a few mins. Not easy to find the place, instruction to get the key were unclear, we went round and round to look for the key. The room given to us was facing the small road. We left the place after a few mins., didn't stay overnight. Not as per advertised, bad experience.

So far we had a good stay. But we couldnt get a good sleep at night.

The location was prefect. Right in the centre of the old town.

Very basic and there was no partition in between shower and the toilet. Everything get wet after shower.

Posizione e 2 passi da china town e da tutte le attrazioni principali di Malacca. La camera n.6 con due letti matrimoniali e balcone con affaccio sul fiume è molto ampia. Ottima la pulizia. Chiare le indicazione per il check in e il check out via whatsapp. Non è posto per chi cerca una camera silenziosa, perchè i locali vicini tengono la musica alta fino a tarda notte.

Putroppo la passeggiata lungo il fiume in questo pezzo è interrotta, è possibile uscire sulla riva del fiume, ma solo per andare in quei 5/6 locali lì sotto, uscendo invece sul retro si arriva comunque subito ad un ponte che conduce sull'altro lato del fiume e dal quale partire per una passeggiata.

Excellent location right by the Melaka River and within walking distance of Jonker Street, restaurants, and major attractions. The room was clean, spacious, and very comfortable. Great value for money. Easy self-check-in process and super responsive staff.

A small con is not having a shower screen, the whole bathroom gets wet when showering. And a suggestion from our family would be to put in a small bar fridge - being a hot and humid climate, it would be great to be able to keep some water and fresh juice cold.

Сам номер именно наш, выходил окнами на стену, где было ра положенно вентиляция и когда включался вентилятор это было невозможно спать, стоял прям гул. Уснуть можно было после закрытия ресторана.

Nice location

The room is very luxury look, quite clean. Compliments drink and extra quite good. I love the place because it so near to tourist facilities such as Jonker Street, Museum, beca facilities, food hunting dll.

Toilet door, quite antic it hard to lock, floor quite sleepery but it clean.

Great location within a 5 minute walk to a lot of the sights. While there were no staff present, they were very quick to respond over WhatsApp.

We were woken at 5am by the noise from the extractor fan from the restaurant downstairs, this continues until 10pm and started again at 9am the next day. We asked to switch rooms but the hotel wasn’t able to accommodate. There’s nobody on site and it was quite difficult to find the room. Comfortable room but quite old bathroom.

Another guest had locked the deadbolt on the front door and couldn’t access with key code but emergency number on the front door worked and they were quick to help.

Boss frustrating me regards to the room changed. I cant check in time cause of no cleaning I book the same room owner ask me to move as we're were family very problems

The room is spacious, clean. Really love the balcony, nice view and walking distance to the attractions place.

The bathroom - the door need maintenance unable to close the door properly, need to put cover or shade the door glass for privacy. The 1st door can’t lock and 2nd door to the room not secure.The balcony flooring need maintenance also.

I stayed at one of the host’s other apartments, not this specific property. The check-in process was smooth and communication with the host was easy.

stayed at another unit managed by the same host. The bedsheets and towels had a slight smell and could be improved in terms of cleanliness. There was also a concerning incident late at night. We accidentally left the key outside the door, and security knocked on the door but did not communicate clearly. It was around 12:30am, so we were hesitant to open the door. The security staff then attempted to enter, which was quite alarming. Only after we stopped him did he explain the situation. This reflects a serious communication issue and made us feel unsafe.

While the location of Wayfarer Guest House is undeniably convenient, the stay itself was very disappointing. We arrived on a Thursday and requested an early check-in, but were strictly told we had to wait until 3:00 PM—even though I noticed other guests being checked in as early as 12:00 PM on a Saturday They were equally rigid with check-out, refusing even a 30-minute extension and quoting a $50/hour fee. Furthermore, no one offered to help with luggage storage upon arrival. ​The room condition was poor (see photos). The walls had significant peeling and dampness issues. Despite a "river view" being mentioned, there was no view at all. Accessibility is also an issue; there is no lift. I had requested a lower floor due to back issues, but was simply told I was on the second floor with no offer of assistance for my bags. We only managed to get help during check-out after seeking out a staff member and providing a tip. ​Lastly, the soundproofing is non-existent. You can hear every footstep from the guests upstairs and in the stairwell. I will not be returning.

The property has superb location and the room that we had was spacious and clean. The property management was super responsive and all the information was clear. Check in and check out was super easy.

The walls are thin and you could hear the guests in the neighboring rooms. It smelled of cigarettes in the room and there was also smell from the kitchen.

Location and value for money. The facility is super clean, generous breakfast, wonderful beds and AC and WiFi! Excellent communication for checking in and out.

The bathroom drain is slow.

If you have decent income and not a backpacker, this is not the place for you to stay. DONT GET BLINDED WITH THEIR BEAUTIFUL PICTURES. The staff are not polite, no help, no staff to assist you, even the staffs from cafe on the ground floor all are not helpful till that you have to figure out yourself how to get the key. Please go to other hotel, you will have better service. Horrible experience with this hotel! I didnt check in and immediately moved to a better hotel. HORRIBLE.

Cleaniness and location

Air conditiner.the is malfunction on air contioner ,it will automatically off it after few hours . I did seek for assistance from the host. He give me a solution to change to another landed guest house in another area. But I chose wayfarer was because of the location . And I did request for a stand fan or others fan to standby in case the air conditioner malfunction again after the host came to fix it(but the malfunction happened again during midnite around 3am. ) Sugges that standby a stand fan in the room in case air conditioner malfunction .

Malgré un super emplacement; à éviter, chambre sombre les stores ne s’ouvrent pas. De la saleté tombe du plafond (isolant ou béton), la personne qui est venu constater nous a juste dit confirmé que ça tombait du plafond. Aucune isolation ni avec les chambres ni avec l’extérieur.

Nous n’ avons vu personne pas de réception (boîte à clef) juste une personne au téléphone pour régler nos problèmes avec une certaine désinvolture. Rien n’a été résolu À fuir

La habitación súper grande. Tenía dos pisos. Las camas muy cómodas. Aunque la calle era algo transitada apenas se oía ruido. Te dejan agua y comida en la habitación. Está justo al lado de todo lo que hay que ver en Melaka, Jonker street, Calle de la armonia,…

Podían poner algún banco en la habitación para apoyar las maletas, con lo grande que es caben de sobra dos bancos a los pies de las camas para poder apoyarlas. Es simplemente una sugerencia. Hay unos minúsculos bichitos en la habitación, sobre todo en el baño. Aunque ya los hemos encontrado en otros alojamientos en Malasia. Debe ser por la humedad.

The location is everything! we practically walk everywhere, it is so convenient. Parking although not available at the hotel, it is just a short walk across the Melaka river (you get to enjoy the view while at it) and it cost RM5 per day (8hrs). So in total I paid RM10 (2D1N stay). Ample cafes available along the river walk. beautiful view from our view day and night. We appreciate the complimentary coffee & tea making facility in the room, mineral water as well as the complimentary maggi in cup! Deco in the room is also nice, balcony facing the river was superb

1. There were ants in the room. I learnt the hard way when our keria gula melaka was totally covered by ants 2. There is no mini fridge in the room 3. TV was not functioning (This is was the biggest disappointment). It was smart TV but it cannot be connected to the hotel wifi. We texted the help-desk. They send help and the guy try to connect the tv to the cafe internet instead. But the TV then is able to connect to YouTube only (you cannot watch any other channel and not even netflix). Internet was super duper slow that you cant even browse anything on YouTube. Sigh!

location wise as it is close to everything. facilities and comfortable room. easy to check in process.

Velmi hezká lokalita.

Celá budova i pokoj byl prolezlý plísní. Plíseň se nacházela za postelí, vedle postele hned u hlavy. Nad dveřmi do koupelny i v koupelně. Když jsme pokoj viděli, rozhodli jsme se, že si raději rezervuje jiné ubytování a budeme spát jinde. Zdraví závadné prostředí.

Location inaccessible, Place was closed there was no staff, there was another business operating there (some kind of a restaurant) When we contacted them they advised us to leave our luggage in a unsecure hallway.. place looked unkept

السكن موقعه تحفه مقابل النهر روقان واستكنان في الشرفه والقوارب تمر من أمامك والغرفة واسعه ومرتبه وبسيطه طبعا هو بيت ضيافه وليس فندق والتواصل مع المضيف بالواتس كان واضح بالمعلومات وسريع الرد والتلبية .

"Friendly and personal service with a good care. The staff were all very friendly and helpful no problem with all the request for assistance . it was a the hotel is well situated, being close to shopping, transport, and the tourist sites. We would definitely stay there again.

Location wise was okay. just 5-10 mins to jonker street. u got everything nearby. The room was pretty big so very comfortable for us. It was clean as well and the checkin process was fairly easyy.

But since the area was located in the middle of the busy road, it can get a bit loud at night. Also the bathroom door made a loud noise everytime we tried to open and close the door. The hairdryer in bathroom are not working. I was electrocuted by the wire poking out of the hairdryer. There was no label saying it cant be used so pls improvise. Also when i inform the staff about this, there was no sorry :(

Die Lage ist sehr zentral, die Stadt ist von hier prima zu Fuß zu erkunden. Das Zimmer war sehr groß. Ein-/Auschecken hat auch ohne Rezeption gut geklappt.

Es war aufgrund der eigentlich sehr schönen Lage direkt am Fluß mit Balkon sehr laut durch die häufig vorbeifahrenden Ausflugsschiffe mindestens bis 23 Uhr. Das Trinkwasser fehlte und man merkt dem Gebäude/dem Zimmer an, dass es schon älter ist. Es gibt keine Rezeption vor Ort, aber die Kommunikation über WhatsApp funktionierte gut.

We could hear people walking on the room above us. The door to balcony was always not accessible. There was no shower curtains in the shower area which made the whole area wet. No water was provided as advised by guest owner that they have run out of stock. Along the walk way. Liquor was served to families while kids were sitting as well.

Good location for us bars and restaurants stones throw. Walking distance to everything we had planned to see. Although it was between bars in the room we had we couldn’t hear the music. Key was in a safe box didn’t course us any problems was explained well on the wattsapp

Can’t think of anything that we didn’t like cheap and cheerful option basic room and shower bed wasn’t anything special but you get what you pay for.

We sat out the front in the morning when the downstairs restaurant was closed but didn't have anywhere to sit out when the restaurant was open.

Location It's 2min from jonker street by walking 3min to st Paul church Technically it's all within walking distance facing melaka river. Located above pu chu restaurant. Expensive high end nyonya restaurant but worth the price if u have alot people Room per night was actually cheap considering the location. The strategic location enable us to go back the room for a rest after hectic day at jonker street and also to shelter from rain

Wear n tear which is normal but the ants in upstair drawer Abit setback for me knowing there are live insects crawling around. Hope they can allow towel change for more than 1 night stay. It's ok if no room service Despite located in front river but there is no river view. Maybe our room 3b got no view Parking can be challenging. We parked 120m from guesthouse but considering we have luggages so it's a bit challenging for us during check in. I have to move my car to nearer parking on the next day but this is out of their control
