Oak House Vienna - Boutique Guesthouse near Meidling Station

The attention to detail

If I had to make a complaint, the shower was too small

Polecamy to miejsce z czystym sumieniem.l

Great location near train station. Lots of interesting books to read.

Lighting for reading in the comfortable seats in the lounge is poor. Needs better lighting.

Such a beautiful guest house, we absolutely loved our stay. Our room was really big and cosy, and one of the most comfortable beds I’ve ever slept in. Breakfast was fresh and plentiful. The people working there were so friendly and helpful too, we really felt like we were at home the whole time.

Kleines Hotel, es war sehr schön. Die Lage war perfekt, 5 Minuten zu Fuß zum Bahnhof Meidling.

Klein, aber fein und sauber.

Liebevoll eingerichtet. Sehr nettes Personal. Sehr schönes Zimmer und Haus. Frühstück sehr lecker

Einladendes Ambiente, hochwertige Pflegeprodukte, herzliches Personal

Absolut perfekt – was wirklich selten ist.

Big room. Lovely top floor lounge for breakfast and reading. Close to Meidling Station, which is very convenient.

Bathroom a bit of a squeeze. But fine.

Clean, peaceful, cozy. Delicious breakfast and kind staff.

Eerlijk gezegd niets, heel fijn hotel.

A recommendation for this wonderful accommodation. The breakfast was excellent, varied and fresh. The location is great and very well connected by tram, bus, metro and train. You practically don't need a car. Communication was easy and smooth, as were the instructions for self check-in.

Everything! You feel yourself there like at home

We had the Oak room, spacious enough. Really clean, friendly staff, flexible and answering quickly to questions, comfortable bed, close to public transport (train, bus, metro and tram). We stayed one week and the room has been proactively been cleaned in the middle of our stay.

There were some remarks in other comments about the noise. During the day (not at night when sleeping), there is a lot of traffic in the main street in front of the building. But there is a double window which isolate the sound quite effectively and there is airco in the room so no need to open windows in the summer. So it is not a real problem.

Very comfortable beds and beautiful decor. The breakfast staff were super friendly. It’s a bit outside the center, but only a 25-minute bus ride away.

This hotel is at a very short walk from trains and commute alternatives. Our street side room is absolutely quiet at night. This small hotel has a warm friendly family feel to it. We had a nice large cozy room to enjoy. Upstairs there is a living- and breakfast room that really is like makes this a "home away from home". For real.

The near surrounding is a little disappointing.

A lovely B&B run by two delightful and kind sisters and staff. Our room was spacious, impeccably clean, well appointed and cozy. Breakfast is continental in style with fresh and tasty offerings. The Meidling Bahnhof ( train station) is a short walk away for those travelling in Europe by train, and transit to the centre of Vienna is easily accessible via a direct bus or tram in about 20 minutes. The glorious Schonbrunn Palace is easily reached in a 20 minute walk. The neighbourhood the Oak House is located in is safe with amenities nearby such as grocery stores and a local market. We highly recommend Oak House as a place to stay if you are visiting Vienna.

Very clear information about ariving and self-checkin, same with checkout. The house is very tidy, the kitchen is very cosy. The room is quite spacious, all the details have been thought out, and the necessary information has been organised (what to visit, what to eat, etc., which was really helpful). The bathroom was tidy, and the necessary facilities were available. Breakfast was rich and tasty, except I missed the vegetables. Wifi is fast and stable, so it's good even when travelling for work + there is a comfortable desk. I really liked that all the rooms are unlocked with a PIN code, the key was only needed to get into the courtyard.

I like when it's bright in the room, but that wasn't a case, lighting could be improved.

The accommodation was lovely. Our room was large, well furnished and very clean. Breakfast was very good with a decent selection and everything was fresh. We especially enjoyed having the use of the cosy lounge when we returned in the evening where we were able to make ourselves a hot drink and have a slice of cake or a piece of fruit which was always available at no extra charge. The owners called in during breakfast on two occasions. They were extremely friendly and gave us travel advice for our trips out.

Nothing to dislike, all very good.

The owners had gone to lot of trouble to ensure safe access and departure with intricate and reliable locking and unlocking system..We had to leave early on final day,and breakfast was prepared specially for us ahead of usual time slot..Much appreciated. Bathroom was quite small but good quality..Nice touches in bedroom leaving us a lot of information on the area plus free water and plug adaptors! Road outside would have been quite noisy but efficient aircon meant there was no need to open windows.. Overall v happy to stay here again..

One has to climb 40 steps to breakfast room if bedroom on ground floor...Otherwise 20 steps if staying on first floor - but that means ca 30 steps from entrance to bedroom! There is no lift..None of this was problem for us but anyone with issues carrying heavy luggage needs to know this..Otherwise would have preferred to have closer access to restaurants, especially since the tram system outside was not operational during our stay. But one could reach bus stop to direct access city centre in 8-10 minutes...

Alina and Nadine are wonderful hosts, paying attention to every detail and giving the guests an unforgettable experience. The design is cozy and warm. The breakfast delicious, varied and with a lot of organic ingredients. There are little, enjoyable details everywhere. Just an example, there are big umbrellas available at the entrance of the house. For sure we will come back. Thank you again for the amazing experience.

This small and very cosy B&B was just perfect in so many ways. Or, I'm not really sure if "B&B" is correct label to use here. This is a very petit boutique guesthouse with a service level that many hotels should learn from. The room was spacious, clean and very fresh. The breakfast area on the top floor has a very homey feeling and the breakfast itself was way beyond even some of the better hotels we have stayed at. It had all you need to start the day in the best way possible. All the staff was very helpful and service minded and if you asked a question on where to go or how to get there they either had the answer or found it for you. They also had their own recommended eating places of which we manage to try a few of. All lived up to or exceeded our expectations.

Oak House is a off the City Center and where the action is. But on the other hand the public transportation in Vienna works perfect and you have multiple options to reach the Innerstadt in just a short time. Or you can do as we did. Walk! Then you also get to see a lot of thing on the way and get the exercise well needed after all the great food the city have to offer

I looked at many sites while planning the trip to Vienna. I am very pleased I chose the Oak House! Quiet, clean. 24 hour access to gourmet coffee. Fresh fruit and snacks.

This property was great in every way!

The Oak House was absolutely amazing. Guest house concept is so warm and welcoming. Location of the hotel is perfect. It’s just 5 min walk from the railway station Meidling which makes commuting all over the city extremely easy.

The Oak Hotel is perfect place to stay. The breakfast was tasty and it was great we had an opportunity to have some snacks, tea, coffee during the day, not only in the morning. The hotel was cozy and we felt like at home) Thank you for your sweet hospitality, dear Nadin and Veronika.

Everything was excellent. The hosts are friendly, everything is clean, the location is excellent. If we come to Vienna again, we will definitely stay here. 😊

Very clean, comfortable and cozy - lovely atmosphere.

Amazing hosts which will make you feel like at home! Very welcoming and helpful about any type of your inquiries. The room is very comfortable, very well decorated with everything you need. The breakfast is small-sized, but delicious. In the addic you can relax at ever time you want and use complementary tea for example and enjoy & relax in a cosy place while it's freezing outside. The location of the Oak House is pretty good. Wien Meidling train station is reachable in 5 minutes by foot as well as tram and bus stops. The Metro stations are little bit further, but also reachable by foot in a reasonable time. We stayed here for 3 nights and are looking forward to stay here again on our next Vienna trip. Nadine and Alina, thank you for being such wonderful hosts!

Just a suggestion - maybe it would be beneficial to add a heater in the bathroom during the winter months.

The Oak House is a lovely gem, we felt right at home and loved the beautiful and cozy rooms, the attention to detail and the breakfast every day! It’s also very well located, only a 5 min walk to the Wien Meidling train station.

Welldesigned house. Cosy and large rooms. We loved the host Nadine and her team. They gave us many good advice on places to see and good restaurants in Vienna but also in the area. We absolutely Will be back!

Size of the room and its equipment, cleannes

Location of the house near the very busy street

We stayed three days, had a very good breakfast, in a lovely decorated room/ livingroom. The tips for places for dinner were excellent. We could park our e-bikes in a shed, 'upgraded' to a bigger room en were allowed to use the room till on the day of our departure, in the afternoon. Very to nice to have an extra living room upstairs, to be shared with the other guests. Public transport is nearby (300 meters).

The B&B lies at a very busy road, so fo sleeping you really have to close the - very good isolating - windows. Unfortunately it was quite warm during our stay and with (still) absent airconditioning the room became really warm, we had some bad nights. We would have rate our stay a 9+ if the above hadn't be the case.

Everything was great! We arrived super early on the first day, allready at 9:30 AM and they let us in and offerd us breakfast free of charge. Rooms where very beautiful and cozy.

Only thing was location that it was on a street where there was traffic and when you open the windows then the noise was quite loud. But you can keep them closed also.

It's hot, no air conditioning. Room window faces to street, it's very noisy.

The staff was very friendly and responsive: our gluten-free breakfast wish was fulfilled to a higher level than we have ever experienced before (including cakes). The hotel is very peaceful, it rather resembles an Airbnb-style guest house. The top-floor lounge is nice for socializing with other guests or for work. Good public transport connections: bus and tram lines very close, Meidling S+U+train station within walking distance.

A refrigerator in the room or the possibility to use a common fridge would be nice

We absolutely loved Oak House!!! The whole place is immaculate and incredibly cosy - it immediately makes you feel like home. The whole house and the rooms are so well thought through, starting from the room names all the way down to the key chains. The living room at the top genuinely feels like your living room at home and is a perfect place to sip delicious coffee! Thank you for a lovely stay, we can’t wait to be back :) :)

Oak House is a magical, colorful little house! From the outside it looks unassuming, but once we stepped foot into the house, we felt transported into a little oasis, flooded with warmth. The hosts were incredibly welcoming and the whole place is designed in a way to make it feel like your own home away from home! It is definitely a unique little bed and breakfast, if you are looking for something special and different than your typical hotel experience while you are in Vienna! We loved it, thank you!!!
