Nusa Penida Yurt

The owner, Francis is really helpful and helped us with booking a cab for a day tour and with the ferry tickets too. The restaurant wasn't fully functional, when we had visited, as the owner and his staffs had gone for a break. But, Francis was kind enough to make Mi Goreng for us ❤️

The swimming pool wasn't so clean. The AC is too small to cool the big yurt. But it gets comfortable as the Sun goes down.

Our family of 5 had a wonderful stay at Nusa Penida Yurt. With the air con on the yurts were very comfortable. We stayed two nights and had dinner and breakfast on site. The food cooked by Francis was absolutely delicious! The best meals we had during our two-week stay in Bali and we had so many delicious meals during this time. While the location wasn't central, we booked a local driver called Made who was so helpful in showing us around the island and so this wasn't a problem. The yurts were comfortable, clean and a unique experience that we will all remember. After leaving we received a message from Francis to say we had left our daughter's camera behind. He went out of his way to deliver this to us in Kuta before we flew out. We are so appreciative- thank you for a wonderful stay Francis. We highly recommend staying at Nusa Penida Yurt for a memorable experience ++

Владелец отеля не понимал почему Букинг сделал мне бесплатный апгрейд комнаты до более большой (семейная комната). В итоге он не позволил мне заселиться в ту комнату, так что я осталась в стандартной. Мне это не столь важно было, но для других может быть критично - если бронируйте семейную комнату на 4 человека, а приезжайте и вас не заселяют.. это очень неприятно. Хозяин отеля не готов следовать правилам приложения.

Просторная юрта, есть все необходимое и даже мягкий диван:) Комфортная кровать, удобный душ с горячей водой и средствами гигиены. Всё очень чисто, стильно и приятно.

Расположение хорошее, если нужно быть ближе к пирсу, откуда все едут на снорклинг. Но если на снорклинг утром не надо, то ехать далековато до магазинов, кафе, бичклабов, пляжей для купания. Но самое неприятное - это петухи, где-то у соседей они периодически кричат (в Индонезии они могут кричать и ночью). А если пойдет дождь ночью, то будет громко, потому что "потолок" прям над головой.

Todo, la originalidad del hospedaje, la amabilidad y comprensión que tuvieron con nosotros al llegar, la cercanía al puerto, la habitación impoluta y sobretodo la comida que sirven, la mejor de toda la isla, nosotros no teníamos moto ya que al ir con niños me suponía un peligro y nosotros tuvimos que quedar allí a cenar y fue todo un acierto.

Lugar increíble. Muy limpio y una atención por parte de Francis de 10. Es un súper cocinero, como el alojamiento, si no tienes transporte está un poco apartado será un acierto si cenas allí. Es tener un chef francés para ti. Superó todas nuestras expectativas. Volvería.

I had a very unpleasant experience staying at Nusa Penida Yurt (25–27 August 2025). I booked and paid through Booking.com two weeks in advance and even updated my arrival time regularly on the platform (stating clearly that I would arrive between 8–9pm). When I arrived, the reception was completely dark and unattended. After waiting, I checked their whiteboard and saw my booking and room number listed, so I thought everything was fine. However, when the owner (Francis) finally arrived, he shockingly informed me that he had canceled my booking and asked me to leave the premises—just because I arrived after 7pm. This was absurd, especially since I had updated my arrival time through Booking.com. It was already 8pm, my friends and I were exhausted after a full day of exploring Nusa Penida, and suddenly being told to leave was unacceptable. I refused to go until he refunded my payment. After almost 40 minutes of arguing, he finally agreed to let us stay, admitting there was a communication issue between him and Booking.com. This entire experience was stressful, unpleasant, and completely unnecessary. Poor management and lack of communication on their side ruined the first night of our trip. I would never recommend this place to anyone.

The property is very nice and the host is very welcoming and helpful. We used both the breakfast service and the restaurant, and we were very satisfied. A means of transport is necessary to get around (we used a driver who accompanied us for the two days).

Tutto, il soggiorno, i servizi, la colazione e cena ottima. Il proprietario Francis (che ringraziamo ancora) simpaticissimo e disponibilissimo ci ha aiutato vari volte con taxi ed escursioni. Ci siamo sentiti coccolati. Considerato il tipo di alloggio (una tenda ma di lusso), straconsigliato, nulla da invidiare ad una camera di hotel.

A bit off from the main activities and restaurants. You always have to drive. The place offers breakfast and dinner, however, to have more of a choice you need to drive to the city.

Echt een topplek om Nusa penida te verkennen. Het was heel schoon, goed verzorgd en het eten zowel ontbijt als avondeten was echt geweldig. De prijs-kwaliteit verhouding is dik in orde.

Buena ubicación, super buen trato, el espacio es genial y la habitación muy grande y muy cómoda. Tiene aire acondicionado, la comida muy buena! Puedes alquilar moto allí con ellos, todo muy cómodo! Alargamos 1 noche mas. Sin duda super recomendable !

The Yurt was clean, spacious, with a very good AC. Bathroom was also clean with good shower pressure. Francis is an amazing cook and we enjoyed dinner and breakfast there.

Loved the ventilation in the top of the tent. Also was cool to stay in a circular shaped room, not a cube. We care about no mould and being able to breathe properly, and this was the best we stayed at, our whole trip in Bali, we could finally get a good nights sleep.

The food was nice! Also the yurt was very cute, spacious and clean.

The location was a bit far from the town so you need a taxi to get around. But you can have delicious dinner at the accommodation so you don’t need to go to a restaurant.

We didn’t like the mafia from the island, but that doesn’t depend on the place. What they did was provide us with another option for chofers.

The family yurt was very spacious and very clean. The beds were very comfortable and there is hot water in the shower which was a bonus! Francis who owns the place is so incredibly helpful! We rented mopeds from him and he has brand new helmets which fit my children perfectly. He is also a wonderful chef, so trying his food on the onsite restaurant is an absolute must! Lovely, lovely place that I would 100% recommend.

If I had to mention one thing it would be the cockerels making a racket VERY early. However, Francis did warn us and provided ear plugs so it was ok. It wouldn’t stop me from returning. Also, you 100% need a moped if you stay here.

The yurts are very spacious and have everything you need for a comfortable stay. What was especially noteworthy is the bed - this might’ve been the most comfortable mattress I‘ve slept on during my travels throughout Indonesia. The staff is very friendly and helpful, so is Frances, who‘s by the way an amazing cook. Make sure to eat dinner there! The location is about 10 mins away from the port by scooter, which for me was just amazing, as it wasn’t in the middle of the busy streets. The whole hotel area is very clean and tidy. This yurt must’ve been one of my absolute hotel highlights while traveling through Indonesia. Would definitely recommend!

The only thing that was a little bit annoying were the dogs in the neighborhood. They fight and bark a lot, therefore it can get quite loud in the mornings. Nothing some good earplugs cannot fix though. This is just a daily part of Indonesia‘s acoustics :-)

Les yurts, l’équipement, la petite piscine et l’aménagement extérieur tout était top. Mais le véritable atout de ce lieu c’est Francis ! Une superbe rencontre, un chef super ses plats sont délicieux ! Des scooters étaient à disposition et nous ont permis de visiter l’île.

Penida Yurt is a fabulous place to stay. The yurts have comfortable beds, excellent AC, and hot showers. The staff are incredibly helpful and attentive and the grounds are lovely. The best part of staying here is the incredible food prepared by Francis and his staff. We stayed a week and enjoyed seven incredible dinners! Francis is incredibly kind and takes great care in ensuring his guests are well taken care of (and well fed!). Highly recommend this accomodation to fellow travellers, it's superb.

Nous avons eu la chance d être accueilli par Francis un Français, qui habite Bali depuis plus de 18 ans, la yurts familiale était super spacieuse literie au top douche CHAUDE et surtout avec de la PRESSION. Coté cuisine un régale pour les papilles, petit déjeuner top. Je recommande ce logement, vous pouvez y aller les yeux fermés. À bientôt, et belle continuation à vous. Merci pour tous.

Un peu reculé du bord de mer mais vraiment pas dérangeant car en un coup de scooter que l'on trouve sur place, on peut aller partout sur l'île. Francis est super accueillant on se sent a la maison! La yourte familiale est super grande et tout confort c'est un logement original et écologique!

Far away from main island, if one wants to visit for dinner, it’s going to cost for transport 300000 IDR. Insects like leech, Scorpion, and many other ones keep crawling inside the Yurt(Tent) and dangerous so one have to stay very careful.

Petit dej non compris et pas top (pancake non cuit chaque matin, on mange de la pâte crue )

De jury was heerlijk om in te slapen, schoon en goed onderhouden. Personeel heel vriendelijk. Helaas voor ons was het restaurant gesloten, denk vanwege dat we in het laag seizoen waren.

De locatie ligt hoger gelegen en je hebt wel een scooter nodig of een chauffeur om je rond te bewegen. Duurt 5 minuten op scooter om bij andere restaurant, winkels en strand te zijn.

Cet hôtel est top. Géré par Francis, un Français, qui a été extrêmement sympathique et arrangeant en nous réservant taxis et visites a très bon prix. Et nous avons eu droit à de la ratatouille pour le dîner! Un régal! Les yurts sont très spacieux et extrêmement propres.

Heel vriendelijk personeel. Het eten is goed, in de avond ook een leuke sfeer om te eten. Er wordt hards gewerkt en de accomodatie is uniek. Heerlijke bedden en heel schoon. Ook fijn dat de mogelijkheid er was om een scooter te huren op verblijf.

Rien de particulier, tout était très bien!

Francis était très sympa et serviable! Très à l’écoute et toujours là pour vous aider sur n’importe quel sujet. Sa cuisine est juste excellente et petit plus c’est un français!! Cela a fait toute la différence! Les Yurts sont très atypiques et avec un confort juste incroyable! Le cadre est très calme et reposant. L’endroit est bien situé tout en étant assez éloigné pour être séparé du monde et du bruit.

Seul petit bémols le petit déjeuné.. bien garnis mais avec très peu de goût malheureusement. Ce n’est pas Francis qui fait le petit déjeuné et malheureusement on sent la différence. Sinon rien d’autre à dire. Tout était parfait.

De yurt is erg groot met een bank, koelkast en tv. De douche was heerlijk warm met meer waterdruk dan thuis in Nederland. Het chill gedeelte bij het zwembad ziet er gezellig uit. Goed ontbijt!

De locatie is te ver van het centrum af, je moet 15 min rijden. Het was er uitgestorven waardoor de sfeer miste. ‘S avonds is er niets meer te krijgen.

Tout le reste… la déception du séjour ! hôtel fantôme avec un personnel qui ne parle pas anglais. L’hôtel est perdu au milieu d’une montagne à 45 mn de toutes les activités . L’île est une poubelle et il est impossible de rouler en scooter en voyant l’état des routes. Alors qu’elle fut pas notre surprise quand on s’est rendu compte que le warung de l’hôtel fut fermé pendant les 3 jours que nous avions prévu. Aucune solution de repli pour pouvoir se nourrir sur place… nous avons écourter notre séjour sur place

Francis est un hôte parfait, il est très à l’écoute de ses clients. Il est dévoué et nous a aidé à trouver nos excursions au meilleur prix. Nous étions une famille de 7 personnes dans 2 yurts et nous étions très à l’aise. Il a planifié notre départ également au meilleur prix. La propreté est irréprochable, même les serviettes de table sentent la lessive c’est incroyable. La nourriture est excellente copieuse et peu chère petit déjeuner sur place très copieux! Nous avons passé un excellent séjour chez Francis. Merci

El baño carece de cortina para la ducha, por lo que se moja todo el suelo del baño vada vez que te duchas.

Le repère des français !!! avec la cuisine française qui va bien (les mets locaux sont fameux aussi). Cela fait du bien une petite pause à la française pour échanger, apprendre, comprendre. Le propriétaire est vraiment très serviable et bénéficie d'un bon réseau.
