We had an excellent stay in Dar Alaa. The apartment is spacious, very clean and comfortable. It is located in a quiet and safe street, walking distance to the Medina and the entrance to the old oasis. What made our stay particularly special was the kindness of our host Alaa. He took such good care of us by offering suggestions for activities, which were all excellent. He made the reservations for us. This was outstanding hospitality. He was very responsive and made sure we had all we needed. Amazing host! Check-in was easy too. We highly recommend Dar Alaa to any travelers interested in exploring Tozeur and its surroundings.

Hadhri’s place was super cozy and in a great location in Tozeur. He was always available for any questions and helped make our stay enjoyable. The kitchen was very convenient and we appreciated the heater during the cold months!

We would’ve liked different pillows on the bed. The current ones are quite firm. But the bed was comfy and the room wasn’t too loud or bright in the mornings.

The host is very kind and responsive. The location is good, walking distance from the old city centre the bush market streets. The beds were comfortable and had very clean sheets. The apartment is spacious. Overall, the place is convenient to stay if you want to visit the desert from Tozeur.

The place was not very clean. Overall quite dusty (probably because of closeness to the desert). The bathroom was dirty. the kitchenware could have been cleaner as well.

The apartment is huge, well-equipped and interestingly designed. Beds are comfortable, kitchen has everything you might need. Non-stop hot water, very fast wi-fi, large fridge, microwave oven, gas stove. The host met us on arrival, was very friendly and helpful, and very quick to respond to all messages. The location is perfect if you have your own car (walking distance to medina, museum, oasis and most other sites of interest), but might be a bit less convenient if you arrive to Tozeur by bus (you will probably need a taxi). It is very quiet - located on a side street next to a hospital.

Tozeur is a desert city - some dust on the floor and furniture is inevitable and is no reason to complain. However, the cleanliness of the bathroom is something that could be improved a bit. I also cannot give more than a rate 8 to accommodation that does not provide clean sheets - clean sheets would make this a 9 or even 10-rated apartment. Everything else was perfect.
