Sea View Cottage

Fantastic location, very rural and close to the coast with lovely countryside and great views. The appliances at the house were in good condition. Nice shower room.

The house could do with a few additions for comfort, like towel rails, hooks on doors, bedside lamps. Outside space needs tidying up. There were only four of us which was okay, but if all beds were used, then the living space would be a bit tight. The house is in the farmyard, so maybe not good if people don't want to be close to the cattle.

Absolutely lovely stay the house was so clean and comfortable beds loved the treats that were left and before we left Daniel the owner brought us down a massive fry which was such a nice thing to do will be back

Absolutely nothing

The location of this cottage is amazing and the view from the window is unreal. Daniel and his family were very welcoming from the moment we arrived. Daniel's kids played with our kids and allowed them to help feed the lambs, which they have talked about every day since this cottage is very close to Lenan beach and Tullagh Bay and a short drive to Clonmany. We made some precious family memories here and will return.

This cottage is beautiful it has all you need, beautiful place to relax and location is spot on. Host Daniel and his son were lovely, a bonus that the 2 kids got feeding the sheep 😊

Had a lovely holiday at Sea View Cottage. Daniel and his family were wonderful hosts. The cottage is lovely and very clean. If you want a break away from it all and all that comes with a busy and hectic career then this is place to be. Beautiful sea and mountain views to the front and mountain views to the back. What is there not to like about looking out the kitchen window and seeing cows and young calves in the field opposite looking in at you. Take a drive up Mamore Gap and take in the stunning views. Our host brought us round a full Irish breakfast and homemade scones on our first morning there. A first class welcome and not to forget the treats already there when we arrived. At the end of our first week there, Daniel brought around a delicious homemade apple pie and custard. These were lovely touches. We were very relaxed and well rested after our stay. Thank you Daniel and your family.

The view was fantastic from the cottage which was perfect for our family of 6. It was very comfortable and spotless and the hosts were fabulous. We would highly recommend this property.

Die Unterkunft liegt herrlich ruhig im Nordwesten Irlands im County Donegal inmitten grüner Wiesen und Weiden zwischen Strand und Bergen. Vom Haus aus hat man einen tollen Blick auf die Bucht, Berge und rüber zum Fanad Lighthouse. Der Bungalow gehört zu einer Farm und steht nahe der Scheune, ca. 100m entfernt vom Haus der Gastgeber. Vom Bungalow aus kann man Rinder auf der Weide sehen. Es gibt drei separate Schlafzimmer, alle mit Doppelbett, eines zusätzlich mit Etagenbett.  WC und Dusche sind in zwei getrennten Räumen. Unsere Gastgeber haben uns sehr freundlich in Empfang genommen. Der Kontakt war sehr zugewandt, sie waren für uns ansprechbar und haben sich immer wieder dezent erkundigt, ob uns etwas fehlt.  Zur Begrüßung hatten wir als Startpaket Toast, Milch, Mineralwasser, Teebeutel, Löslichen Kaffee, Zucker, Salz, Haferflocken, Kekse. Die Küche enthält die übliche Ausstattung. Mit unserem Mietwagen konnten wir Supermärkte (Friels Shop , Clonmany, Carndonagh, Buncrana), Sandstrände (Leenan Beach, Five Finger Beach) und andere Ziele der Umgebung (Wasserfall Glenlivin, St. Columba's Church Straid, Glendowen Craft Shop, Golfplätze Ballyliffin und Buncrana, Malin Head, Dunree Head) schnell erreichen.  Die Woche verging uns viel zu schnell, wir haben die Gegend ins Herz geschlossen. Das verdanken wir der Freundlichkeit unserer Gastgeber und anderen kontaktfreudigen Menschen aus Inishowen.

There wasn’t anything we didn’t like

Beautifully located and the cottage itself is so clean and tidy and has everything you need for a stay away from home, Daniel and Sandra were very helpful and couldn’t have been any more accommodating and helpful, we will hopefully be returning again.

The area: The location is superb. Mountains on two sides, the sea on another. If the weather had been nicer, we could've had the windows open (we did for a little bit, but brrrr) and heard the waves crash from our bedroom. It's a working farm, so there are cows and sheep. We loved seeing them when we went to and from the cottage. There is a rocky beach that you can walk/drive to. There is also a sandy beach by a harbour. There is an old broken down fort near there as well. The walks were glorious as you rarely saw a car. If you want to eat out, The Rusty Nail is a very popular place and a 5 minute drive, but be sure to make a booking. We also ate in the surrounding towns. The house: The place is immaculately clean--you could eat off the floor. There are three bedrooms; one larger one with a king and bunk beds. The other two have double beds. One bedroom is just off the living room, and the other two are down the hall. There is a toilet room, and then another bathroom with a sink and shower. It's great for a family. Our kids are older teens, but if they had been younger, there are toys, games, and kid-sized dishes. There is a full kitchen at your disposal, and the hosts were kind enough to have eggs, cereal, bread, scones, coffee/tea for us to use. The wifi works great and the tv is modern with regular channels plus Netflix, YouTube, etc. It was cosy at night, and we loved curling up on the couch to watch movies together as a family. It's very quiet, and we had no issues with noise sleeping at night. It's a great place for a retreat or to reset. Daniel was the perfect host--we knew he was there if we needed him as he lives a short distance away on the property--but we didn't feel encroached upon. He also is prompt in responding to texts. We were not looking forward to leaving. I don't ever give 10s on my reviews, but this is close. We will definitely be back.

Nothing? I guess if I have to say something, the small step down to the door from the inside is hard to see at times. My husband and I both tripped down it, but that's mainly because we were distracted.

Great cottage, host was brilliant, really enjoyed staying here.
