Bathroom needs rethink and refurb. No table for 2 people to eat together. No draws in main bedroom meant we lived out of suitcase on the floor for a week.

Very small bathroom with no space to place for items. The wash basin was too small to be functional, even for teeth cleaning etc. Beyond standard cutlery, there were no other 'basic' items available such as a bread knife any other 'cutting' knives or potato peeler. On one occasion, a car was packed in the parking space from next door. The night-time 'sensory light' in the bathroom was fine, but on a dark, dismal day when not in operation, it's difficult to find adequate light.

Ubicación perfecta para disfrutar tanto de los verdes prados, como de una preciosa playa kilométrica. Cabe destacar la amabilidad y el buen hacer de Danny y Brenda, maravillosas personas que hicieron posible que mi estancia fuera perfecta. Muchas gracias a los dos!!!

Reviewed Sep 30, 2025Sehr hilfsbereite und nette Hosts. Leider war die Wohnung eiskalt, als wir eintrafen, sie kam aber so schnell es ging rüber um zu helfen beim Einschalten und Programmieren der Heizkörper (sehr modernes System). Die Wohnung ist mega, sieht sehr neu aus, der Boden ist wie in einer Villa, alles ist sauber. Schöne Küche, aber kein Esstisch vorhanden, wenn man den möchte. Nur zwei Barstühle an der Theke in der Küche. Ein Pub zum Auswärts-Essen ist zu Fuss erreichbar, zwei Restaurants in ein paar Minuten mit dem Auto.
Leider war die Heizung im Badezimmer nicht funktionstüchtig. Die Dusche hat am 1. Abend nicht funktioniert, am nächsten Tag gings dann. Wir standen aber zentimetertief im eigenen Dusch-Abwasser, weil das Wasser nicht ablief. Folgedessen: kleine Überschwemmung im Bad nach jedem Duschen. Das Waschbecken im Bad ist extrem klein, sich dort das Gesicht zu waschen oder sich zu erfrischen ist recht mühsam, das haben wir dann in der Küche gemacht. Die Kochmesser hatten eine schlechte Qualität, wir hoffen, dass diese nun durch bessere ersetzt wurden. (Wir haben diese Dinge den Hosts mitgeteilt.) Das Appartment ansonsten so wunderbar, es fehlt aber noch ein Platz zum gemütlich Essen, die Mini-Tischchen im Wohnzimmer sind sehr kipp-anfällig und in der Küche sitzt man auf Barhockern an der Theke zur Wand hin.

Reviewed Sep 15, 2025Die Lage ist ein optimaler Ausgangspunkt die Umgebung zu erkunden. Parkplätze sind vorhanden. Zentral gelegen, sodass auch Pubs und Einkaufsmöglichkeiten zu Fuß gut erreichbar sind. Es steht eine Waschmaschine zur Verfügung und das Haus ist beheizbar. Wunderbar ist, dass der Gastgeber zu jeder Zeit erreichbar ist und sich wirklich kümmert - Missstände werden umgehend und zur vollsten Zufriedenheit behoben. Dafür mein höchstes Lob.
.... dass vor Bezug anscheinend niemand das Kücheninventar (Töpfe, Pfannen, Schüsseln) auf Verwendbarkeit und Vorhandensein kontrolliert hat - Wichtig zu wissen ist vielleicht auch, dass es nur zwei Sitzplätze (Barhocker) in der Küche gibt und der Platz zum Essen sich auf zwei Personen beschränkt.

Unfinished building works let property down on outside and occasional damp smell in bathroom. Overall, it was an excellent stay and will be back.

Just some constructive criticism really :-) Back garden and the area beyond is still under construction, but front garden was usable. Having a garden at all was a bonus anyhow. Bathroom sink very small. Duvet was perhaps a bit hot for July. A coat rack at the front door, more hooks for towels, etc. would be good.

A few very small negatives - just some constructive criticism really :) When we arrived, some construction traffic was next door. It was no big deal and didn't bother us the rest of the time. Back garden still under construction but front garden was usable. Having a garden at all was a bonus anyhow. Bathroom sink very small - I understand why, but kitchen sink is good. I got too hot under the big duvet (it was July), but I easily overheat anyhow. A few wee finishing touches could make this place perfect - e.g. a coat rack near the front door, more hooks for towels (e.g. on doors). The wee basket on the bathroom floor was under the towel hooks, and so we found it to be a bit wet inside. Other half cut himself at back door - it could have been the keyring, but I think it was the door itself as it was a bit stiff.

Reviewed Feb 4, 2025lovely place. Nice quiet location. Big bedrooms. The host lives next door, and was very welcoming and helpful.
The internet wasn't working, so no TV available. I think it was down because of the recent storm, so no fault of the owners. Kitchen could do with a few more items if I am being really picky, e.g. a chopping board, tea towel, maybe a microwave. Not really complaining about anything, just a bit of feedback to the hosts, if they ever see this.

Reviewed Jan 26, 2025Brenda& Danny are great hosts. They’re very helpful and accommodating. Their holiday home is beautifully decorated ,comfortable and well equipped. Ideally located a 3 minutes walk from the bus stop and 5 minutes walk to Centra market . A pretty village in beautiful county Donegal with stunning views and friendly locals. We had a lovely stay . Danny offered another free night because of the storm which was very kind of him. Highly recommend.
