Location was excellent and value for money was good

Walls are a bit thin so could heat everything outside the room , shower took a long time to heat up

Nice basic hotel beside the train station in Athlone. A few minutes walk to the town centre. Rooms were basic but clean. The bathroom was big. No complaints and I would stay here again.

Die Lage ist fantastisch, zwei Minuten von der Innenstadt und Altstadt entfernt. Das Hotel liegt auch gleich am Bahnhof und Busbahnhof, so dass Tagestouren komfortabel gewesen wären - wir waren dafür leider zu kurz im Urlaub vor Ort. Wir haben auch im Restaurant im Erdgeschoss des Hotels gespeist und waren auch damit sehr zufrieden.

Avoid Avoid Avoid Terrible Cold no customer service we did not stay the night and got charged did not refund us the money. Unsafe told lady no catch on 1st floor window told us to look after our children -1st floor window opened out anyone could fall out and die. Unsecure anyone could walk in and out and when locked door from inside young children can open the door no lock unsafe and unsecure.

Disgrace shut down stole our money we left straight away as unsecure and unsafe will result in a death. Owner DID NOT Refund our money prepayment rip off

Perfect room for 3 fellas to spend the night in athlone...10 min to centre and right beside railway station...there are no staff in attendance except between 3 and 5, but the staff in restaurant downstairs seem to be associated with the accomm management and were very helpful. They allowed me park my motorbike in the restaurant yard...very grateful for that...room was perfect...good hot shiwer (just need to wait a mijute for it to heat up...no big deal)...beds very comfy...room clean and spacious and excellent for the price (€130 for the night for 3 peeps)...access very simple by card...Wifi is free...and fast...would easily recommend 👍

Cheap and cheerful and clean room, in a great town centre location. The room was spacious and there was an en suite shower provided. There is a breakfast room also, if you book a breakfast in advance.

The front door was locked on arrival. There was a telephone number on the front door and when I rang it was answered and was able to check in. Some reviewers said they would have liked tea and coffee making facilities in the room, but that was not a problem for us. There was a spare kettle left on the reception desk, for guest use and a jug of water and glasses provided. You would have to bring up your own tea or coffee, cup and milk, etc.

Room was modern, steady, quiet, and clean. I liked the view from my window.

Shower was complicated. Wasn't sure where to go to check in.

Nothing Had to go through a Chinese restaurant and upstairs to register. The first room they put us in and no heat and holes in the wall. They wanted to move us up another flight for a better room but there was no elevator and my husband could not drag our suitcases up another flight. The host had no problem at all with not having us stay there and not charging us under the circumstances. The smell throughout the hotel was beyond acceptable. I have reached out to booking.com and got no response in regards to not processing payment for a hotel we did not stay at! I will not be using booking.com again if I do not get a resolution to this issue

The room was clean and well maintained although there was a lot of dust near the TV and the remote was covered with dust.

The service in the room was very poor. There was no kettle nor a glass to drink water. I prefer drinking hot water. I had to go down to the restaurant to ask for some hot water, the staff was kind enough to give me. The pillows were not comfortable to sleep with. One more important thing to mention there was a very small and bright led light may be from a smoke sensor I don't know, it was very disturbing to sleep as it falls directly on the face.

check in was easy at the next door chineses take away - the server brought a kettle that was supposed to be specially ordered at 10.15pm several hours after i arived

thge room lacked a lot of basic stuff - no cup /glasses /soap /places to put things /no instructions on anything - just very basis - for my 120 euros i expected much better .They seem to take student bookings /or school grad kids .In room 102 next to me were around 20 kids who started singing and bouncing around from 10pm to midnight then came back in at 3am and started doing same .I had a very poor 3 hours sleep so beware -I was competing the next day and it ruined my event having travelled over from scotland

Location was very good with easy access to a large car park . Bed was comfortable and clean, bathroom was clean.

The noise next door woke me at 3.15am. Had to go out and bang on their door. They eventually quitened down. But walls must be quite thin. Carpet was very stained and old looking. A lotto damage on walls.

There were no tea/coffee making facilities in the the room, this should be standard. There was ni drinking glass in the room, I was therefore unable to get a drink of water during the night.

Perfect for my trip. Easy to find, great location, comfy bed, great shower, nice big room, clean sheets, Wifi and privacy. Added bonus its above the Chinese restaurant, so I could grab some dinner if i didn't want to go out again. The staff were around if I needed them. Breakfast can be booked but I didn't bother. Overall, I'm very satisfied with the accommodation.
