Nothing at all as it’s a wonderful property . Yes our room was a bit smaller than expected but it was very cosy. The en-suite was also a bit tight for space but everything worked ok

Reviewed Sep 4, 2026Wir hatten einen angenehmen Aufenthalt im Shannonside House. Die Gastgeber waren sehr nett und herzlich. Die Betten waren bequem und das Frühstück hat uns ebenfalls gut gefallen.
Ein kleiner Minuspunkt war das etwas beengte Badezimmer.

Devo dire in definitiva nulla molto accoglienti e molto familiari. Stiamo sempre attendendo che la civiltà del bidet si estenda dell'Italia e Spagna al mondo, ma questo non è un problema di questi cortesissimi signori

No real issues. Bathroom was a wee bit small and I like to be able to remove the nozzle from the wall. I found the temperature controls tricky, as I kept accidentally knocking it higher and lower. The unit was a little bit old-fashioned, but I can totally imagine that it wouldn't be worth changing the whole unit for such minor issues.

Reviewed Aug 13, 2026Everything! Really, it's a home-from-home. Mark and Linda have the place furnished and decorated to a very high standard and in great taste. No IKEA stuff here! We got a lovely welcome, and on leaving, we felt as if we'd known them for ages. Very attentive, but not too much. And the dogs! They are sweethearts, welcoming everyone and hoping for tummy rubs. The room was perfect: beautiful, calming colour scheme, very comfortable bed, lovely, clean en-suite, window you could open (very warm weather), all the standard things (tea/coffee/kettle, television) and daily bottle of mineral water. Location was also great: far enough out of the centre to be peaceful, but an easy walk into the centre., We had breakfast both mornings: choice of continental or cooked (eggs, full Irish etc). Great coffee in decent sized pot - which didn't drip! Lovely homemade wheaten bread, as good as my own, continental pastries etc. All served in beautiful, bright, spacious, well appointed dining room. I couldn't recommend this guesthouse highly enough. We hope to be able to come back again for a longer stay.

Reviewed Aug 13, 2026La posizione, a soli 10 minuti dal centro quindi per chi cone noi viaggiava in auto è perfetto avendo il parcheggio disponibile davanti alla struttura, la cura dell'ambiente (abbiamo riposato benissimo)e la gentilezza dei proprietari. Non abbiamo fatto la colazione ma dai profumi prometteva molto bene.

Reviewed Aug 3, 2026Absolutely loved staying at this property. Such a warm welcome and nothing was an issue for the Hosts, Mark & Linda. Bed was super comfy and only a few minute walk into Main Street (Sean’s Bar). Breakfast was plentiful and delicious. Well worth the stay. Will be staying again next time we are in Ireland. Would also highly recommend the Italian Restaurant just down the road called Di Bella (absolutely Devine fresh pasta!)

Location is also very good, because it’s near to the attractions and even walkable from the train station. I would love to comeback there!

Glad to get car parking within premises too. I didn't have breakfast but popped in there to return my key and set up looked excellent.

The breakfast room was just lovely...bright and beautifully decorated. There was a lovely variety of cereal, fresh fruit and berries, cheeses, yoghurts and baking. The hot breakfast was made on the spot and the eggs made to order. Toasts and jams were provided and refills offered with smiles..by both Mark and Linda. This is a truly wonderful place to stay...highly recommend.
