Clean, quiet, luxurious

The location is great right in the old town. A few minutes from the harbour but also close to other essential facilities, the bus station taxi rank supermarkets, back s and restaurants. A very small establishment in an old building with only a few rooms but very comfortable and nicely done out. A very comfortable bed. A useful compact kitchen, great for snacks. The shower was super with lots of hot water and a decent pressure. Maria was very communicative and helpful. We had some basics in the room, enough for a light breakfast, which was much appreciated. She had also very kindly left us some wine. We would certainly use the accommodation again.

Stairs were a bit tight and steep which is not a complaint, just be aware if you have mobility issues. A slightly taller table, rather than a coffee table would have been useful

Everything, stayed for 2 nights and there's nothing to complain about really. You are literally in the city centre, to get to the place you pass by a little cute street and the place is super quiet.

Luxury appartment er sterkt overdrevet. Dette var et enkelt og etter vårt skjønn lite smakfult rom. Veldig bratt trapp opp til rommet. 1 kakerlakk i kjøkkenskapet, men ellers rent og ryddig. Kommer neppe igjen..

La localisation , très proche du port Vénitien et des rues commerçantes. Salle de bain très agréable et très bonne literie. Petit kit d’accueil dans la cuisine. La climatisation est tres appréciable. Propriétaire réactive et très prévenante lors de nos échanges.

The property was close to everything and was more spacious than what it looks on the photos. Had a really nice style and with some different areas, it made it such a comfortable stay.

Μείναμε στο δωμάτιο Aris για ένα βράδυ, ένα αρχοντικό δωμάτιο με ωραία έπιπλα και πολύ καλό στρώμα στο μεγάλο κρεβάτι. Ήταν πολύ καθαρά ωραίο μπάνιο, καφετέρια Nespresso με καφέδες και νερά στο ψυγείο! Μας είχαν και φρυγανιές με μέλι και μαρμελάδες χωρίς να έχουμε κανονικά πρωινό! Όλα ήταν τέλεια!

Great location, we had the room with the terrace - Apollo room. There were stairs, but this was not an issue for us. Close to old port and many many surrounding restaurants. Walkable to Nea Chora beach. Excellent response and recommendations from host. Will definitely stay again.

The communication with our hostess Maria was excellent and she was very friendly and attentive. The apartment is a good size, but it is cosy. The bed and pillows were comfortable and the shower is good. We had everything we needed. The location is absolutely perfect for exploring the old town and harbour. This was our second stay in this accommodation.

Very beautiful and clean accommodation right in the center of the old city, you have everything you might need and even more (we had water in the fridge and snacks) it was very thoughtful. Maria from the team of Palazzo di Irene meet us and recommended fantastic fish restaurant! Thank you very much we definitely will return again and again!

Nous avons été accueillis par Maria qui nous attendait dans la rue afin de nous accompagner car il peut éventuellement être un peu "technique" de trouver ce joli studio qui est littéralement au coeur du vieux La Canée. Arriver au Plazzo di Irene c'est se demander si on est à La Canée ou en Italie ! Le mobilier de la chambre principale est très chic et tellement digne d'un "palazzo". La salle de bain est ravissante avec ses deux beaux lavabos "so chic" également. Il est à souligner que tout était d'une très grande propreté. Le lit dans la pièce salon-cuisine est un lit simple mais de très bonne qualité. Nous n'avions pas d'accès à l'extérieur avec le studio qui nous a été attribué mais avions un mini patio. C'est peut-être la seule chose que nous avons un peu regretté par rapport aux photos, mais sincèrement, nous n'étions pas à La Canée pour rester dans la chambre !

Il ne faut pas vraiment prévoir de vouloir se préparer un petit-déjeuner un poil élaboré car la cuisine est assez basique, avec une Nespresso et une bouilloire et le minimum nécessaire pour un petit-déjeuner rapide. Néanmoins il y a tant de possibilités autour que cela n'est pas grave. Nous recommandons d'ailleurs chaudement "The Red Bicycle" pas loin du tout du studio, qui propose les meilleurs petits-déj de votre vie (ou presque - prévoir un pour deux au vu des quantités).

Άριστη τοποθεσία στο κέντρο της παλιάς πόλης. Το δωμάτιο ευρύχωρο και πεντακάθαρο και το κρεβάτι πολύ μεγάλο και αναπαυτικό. Η Μαρία ευγενέστατή και εξυπηρετικότατη όσες φορές την καλέσαμε για πληροφορίες. Είναι μια άριστη επιλογή για διαμονή στο κέντρο.

Όλα ήταν καλύτερα από ότι περιμέναμε. Δεν υπάρχει ασανσέρ αλλά αυτό ισχύει για τα περισσότερα αν όχι όλα τα καταλύματα στο κέντρο.

Palazzo di Irene is the place, hidden in Chanias old town, that wants to be explored by you. After some little difficulties to find it we discovered a real treasure. Absolutely central, you are ready for everything. Shopping, sightseeing, dining, clubbing, you name it. You have changed your mind? No worries. You are always just one stone throw away from altering your clothes or parking your shopping bags. And even in the middle of the action your room becomes quiet after you close the door. When you first enter the apartment you are welcomed by a fresh smell in the air. Yes, this matters. It tells you that this room is tidy. Nothing is covered by a stinky air perfume. It smells just fresh and refined. Lovely little details in the furnishings explain that it is not an ordinary guest house. Last thing to mention (there could be more) is the size of the towels. After your shower you will be embraced by a cosy cloth the size others would like to have a private island of. All that you get for a reasonable amount of money. Thank you to Maria and her team.

The breakfast was poor, probably better to include more options, apart from that everything good.

Struttura molto bella e caratteristica, restaurata ed arredata con cura e molto gusto, nella parte antica di Chania, centralissima ma comunque comoda. Dotata di tutti i comfort, pulitissima! E poi Maria, la proprietaria: gentilissima, disponibile, simpatica, ci ha dato moltissime utili informazioni e ci ha aiutato in molti modi. Solo cose positive ❤️

Great place to stay with a family in the heart of the amazing old Chania souks neighbouring the port.

It’s a small inconvenience that there’s no place to put the baby stroller under the stairs or inside the cabin. You have to carry it with you on the stairs.

Quirky, well appointed, beautiful apartment, excellent location

My friends and I had a wonderful stay at Palazzo di Irene. The room was spacious, clean and beautiful. Our host was extremely accommodating and responsive and truly went above and beyond to provide recommendations and even assisted in calling us a cab for our early morning flight (which was a huge help!) The extra support and ease goes along way when you’re on the move and in a country where you don’t speak the language. Would absolutely stay again or recommend.

Quizás una ducha demasiado pequeña. Dispone de una sauna, pero de muy poca utilidad en épocas de calor. Respecto a la ciudad y la isla, pretenden acoger mucho turismo sin tener bien dimensionado y preparados los servicios. Mucha atención con el aparcamiento y el maltrato por parte de la policía a los turistas

The accommodation felt very homely. The beds were very comfortable and we slept very well and I usually struggle with my sleep. Very nicely decorated and felt lovely and clean. Heard some noise from outside, but it went silent by about 22.00 hrs. It wasn't that much bother anyway. Very good location. Nice restaurants just outside your door and very central to everywhere else in Chania old town. Maria was very helpful and told us some lovely restaurants to get that authentic feel. She was also very swift to respond and sort out transfer for us to and from accommodation. She was willing to help us with more if needed. Air conditioning was fantastic!

Prelepooo :) Lokacija je odlična, u samom ste centru grada, na svega par minuta od luke. Čisto je, prelepo sređeno - stilski, sa ukusom. Imate sve što vam je neophodno. Sve pohvale za vlasnike! Dogovor oko preuzimanja ključeva je bio lak, Maria je jako ljubazna.

Sve nam se svidelo, sledeći put moramo ostati duže..

Great location and design, fast and clear communication.

By Greek standards, the welcome amenities were rather minimal. In my previous stays, there was always something thoughtful waiting, such as fresh fruit, a bottle of wine, or some snacks. None of that was provided here. For a luxury stay, I also found it quite surprising that there were no toiletries at all. Not even shower gel or any travel-size essentials, let alone premium products. Given how this property is positioned, I think that’s something guests would reasonably expect. Fortunately, I had brought some of my own toiletries, but that really shouldn’t have been necessary. *If you have heavy luggage this might not be the place for you. It’s quite far from the busstation, no taxi can drop you off close by. And when you open the front door you already need to drag your suitcase up the stairs to be able to close the door. And then the steep stairs follow.

Huone oli todella siisti ja hyvin varusteltu. Sijainti oli todella loistava vain muutama askel vanhasta satamasta. Emäntä Maria oli todella ystävällinen ja avulias. Tulemme myös ensi käynnillämme yöpymään täällä.

Die Lage direkt in der Altstadt war perfekt 😍 Das Appartment sehr sauber und der Kontakt zur Inhaberin sehr herzlich . Sie hat uns auch mit tollen Tavernen Tipps versorgt .

Morgens um 7 Uhr hat die Kirchturm Uhr direkt nebenan geklingelt . Für uns nicht schlimm, da wir eh früh aufstehen mussten wegen des Fluges .

Perfect location in Chania old town. There were five of us travelling so the apartment and one other room was great for us. Clean and lots of utensils for self catering. We were given loads of helpful information by the host. Would definitely recommend.

Fantastic location in the old town but very quiet at night. Room very clean and enough to self cater if you like. All the instructions to get in were perfect and we had such helpful information from the host.

We only stayed for one night, but it was a wonderful experience. The room was exceptionally spacious and perfectly located in the heart of the Old Town, making it easy to explore the area. The shower had excellent water pressure, and everything was clean and well maintained. We especially enjoyed the charming mini sunroom, which added a nice touch to the room. The staff were friendly and welcoming throughout our stay.

The only drawback was the limited soundproofing, which is understandable given the age and character of the building. We could hear footsteps from the room above quite clearly at times. To be fair, the property was transparent about this before our stay and provided information asking guests to be mindful of noise because of the historic wooden structure. While it didn’t significantly impact our one-night stay, it’s something light sleepers may want to keep in mind.

The second location on our honeymoon was Chania, and we booked this room due to its location and style. It was the perfect distance from everywhere we went, and was probably the cutest place I’ve ever stayed. Maria was so kind and accommodating. She let us drop off our luggage when we arrived early, had the room cleaned so we could do an early check-in, and gave us a list of incredible restaurant recommendations. If we come back, we’ll definitely stay here again!

Stunning home divided into 4 self contained units. Beautifully restored building in a narrow pedestrian street full of little bistros and restaurants. Idyllic location and amazingly comfortable. Perfect spot to stay if visiting Chania

The location is perfect! Right in the heart of the old harbour but VERY quiet! Extremely clean and with everything you might need - including a sauna! 😳 Communication with the host, Maria was very easy & she always responded in a timely fashion!

Perfect location in the center of the old town. Maria from the property was very helpful and polite, explained everything, was ready to help us any time. The rooms were clean, we had everything that we need, nothing was broken. The only problem was the sauna in the Aris apartment, when I turned it on, the electricity turned off in the whole apartment. The same happened 2-3 times in row, in the end the issue was fixed on its own and I enjoyed the sauna, I do not want to ruin the rating only because of that. The management promised to have a look at this issue, hopefully other customers will not face this issue.

Όλα ήταν υπέροχα στη διαμονή μας. Το συνιστώ ανεπιφύλακτα!! Η τοποθεσία μαγική και δεν λείπει τίποτα από το δωμάτιο.

Η σάουνα δεν πήρε εύκολα θερμοκρασία αλλά ίσως εμείς δεν κάναμε κάτι σωστά.

This was a special place to stay in Chania, beautiful building, everything comfortable, extremely attentive and responsive host. We recommend it fully!

L'accueil était très gentil, une bonne communication avec l'hotesse. Nous avons pu récépérer les clés dans la boite à clé, elle est arrivée un peu plus tard pour nous donner des indications. L'emplacement est parfait, en plein centre, tout est accessible à pied. Une attention est portée au décor, avec un style chaleureux. La rue est pleine de restaurants, mais le double vitrage est efficace et nous n'avons pas eu trop de bruit en suirée.

Ce n'est pas très grand et en particulier pour petit déjeuner sur place à 4 la table basse est un peu juste. Mais ça vaut le coup, pour être bien central, et c'est conforme à la desciption.

Ένα κατάλυμα σε άψογη τοποθεσία, στην καρδιά της Παλιάς Πόλης, σε ένα γραφικό στενάκι με διαφορων ειδών μαγαζιά. Οι οικοδεσπότες ευγενεστατοι και απόλυτα εξυπηρετικοί. Το δωμάτιο πολύ καθαρό, άνετο, με πολλούς χώρους, υπέροχη αισθητική. Γλυκιά πινελιά το ότι υπήρχαν βασικά είδη στην κουζίνα όπως καφές, νερό, είδη πρωινού. Ένα πολύ όμορφο μπαλκονάκι που συμπλήρωνε την αίσθηση του απόλυτα οικείου και ζεστού περιβάλλοντος που βρήκαμε. Θα το επισκεφθούμε ξανά με μεγάλη χαρά.

Maria was heel vriendelijk en behulpzaam. De kamer was heel mooi en fijn. Je hoorde het geluid van buiten helemaal niet. Het bed lag lekker en alles was heel schoon. De locatie is ook echt perfect. Zodra je de deur uitstapt bevind je jezelf in het mooie bruisende Chania.

A fabulous location in Chania town. All details of how to arrive, access codes and contact numbers given in advance. Host met us as the apartments. Extremely clean and beautifully furnished. Had a studio apartment with large terrace and also a one bed apartment with small terrace as well as living space. Such a great place.

Das Hotel liegt mitten im Zentrum der Altstadt. Maria unser Host war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Die Tipps für Restaurants und Bars waren klasse. Danke schön :-)

We stayed in the split-level apartment. It was perfect for us - there was plenty of space to relax. The self-catering facilities were great, and we had some food and drink (including water, wine, and coffee) included, which was a bonus. The host contacted me via WhatsApp before, during, and after our stay to ensure everything was fine. She was extremely helpful in arranging a taxi for us to the port.

It would have been nice to have 4 chairs in the sitting area so we could all sit around the table, but that is a minor thing.

Very central location, fairly quiet, spacious and clean apartment. Very good shower. Just a 5 minute walk from the bus station. Noni was very helpful indeed, with great communication, lots of recommendations and helped sort a taxi out to the airport when the ktel bus schedule let us down.

It was quite dark inside the apartment with little natural light. We were disturbed at times by footsteps etc in the apartment above us.

We really enjoyed this property,we were here for only one night but wished it was more,bathroom,double bedroom kitchen area were all very nice,Noni is a great host very friendly easily reached by phone and she gave us recommends on where to eat.Water and wine alongside a few other things were left for us which was very much appreciated.It is in the old town with everything right on the doorstep.
