The family was really nice! For us was the breakfast portion was perfect and delicious we also had a special tea that was also really nice.

Отличный отель! Тихое и спокойное место. Все необходимое находится в шаговой доступности: магазины, рынок, аюрведа, пляж. Очень удобно, что владельцы говорят как на русском, так и на английском языках. Так же из отеля прекрасные виды, и есть выход к небольшому заливу от океана, где совсем неглубоко, поэтому смело можно купаться с детьми. Завтрак в отеле на улице, в прекрасной беседке, которая находится в тени больших деревьев, окутанных лианами) можно было днем спокойно поработать или понаблюдать за белками и хамелеонами, а вечером собраться в ней на ужин с друзьями и посидеть поговорить, попить чаю, поесть фруктов

Todo! Un lugar hermoso con salida a un lago, entorno natural muy tranquilo donde podes descansar con buenas vistas. La habitación es amplia, la cama es cómoda, ducha con agua caliente. Los dueños son muy amables. El desayuno es rico y completo. Ojalá nos hubiésemos quedado muchos más días!

Прекрасный отель с выходом на озеро с морской водой, где можно увидеть красивые рассветы. Ухоженная территория, завтраки в отеле, потом можно поесть рядом в ресторанчике, тоже на озере и в тени деревьев. Супермаркет в 5 минутах работает с 8-22, очень удобно. Русскоговорящая хозяйка, огромное спасибо Марии и ее мужу за отзывчивость.

Beautiful place, the owner and his wife are amazing people, they warmly welcome you and they are helpful.

The hosts and family are super friendly, felt very welcome from the second we arrived. Great view over the lake from the shared terrace, highly recommend going for a swim. Massive clean rooms with lots of natural light; we didn’t try the hot water but the cold shower was great. Bring earplugs if you’re a light sleeper, the rooms are very close to the railway tracks.

A small thing as the eggs were perfectly cooked but I would have liked a Sri Lankan breakfast option. We discussed with the owner and understand their reasoning, but I prefer to eat local when travelling.

Lovely accommodation really close to the city center! The owner was very friendly and welcoming, making us feel at home from the start. The view during breakfast was absolutely beautiful. Rooms were clean and modern compared to Sri Lanka standards. Highly recommended!

Alles war gut

Breakfast is great. Fresh ingredients and presented beautifully. The rooms are light, airy and clean. The garden is stunning and the lake was so clean, bird watching was a delight. The hosts were very helpful and friendly. Always going out of their way to accommodate and super knowledgeable about the local area.

My only very small criticism would be the lack of balcony and garden seating to relax and soak up the beautiful surroundings

Location is nearby main road, it was very easy access to the local markets & shops.

L’établissement a du potentiel mais c’est vieux rien n’est rénové. Nous avons demandé un couteau qui était sale Les fruits servis au petit déjeuner sont d’une quantité minimale, même pas suffisant pour un enfant. Pour notre dernier jour, personne pour nous proposer le petit déjeuner. Nous avons laisser les clés et nous sommes partis.

Die Unterkunft liegt direkt am See. Das Grundstück ist abgeschlossen mit einem großen Innenhof mit Parkmöglichkeit. Die Zimmer waren sehr sauber. Die Betten waren sehr bequem und jedes Zimmer hat einen Balkon und eine Klimaanlage. Das Frühstück ist reichhaltig und man kann es direkt am See genießen. Die Gastgeber sind sehr sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Wir hatten einen sehr angenehmen Aufenthalt und würden wieder hier herkommen.

Un alojamiento espectacular en plena naturaleza, justo frente al lago de Hikkaduwa, ideal para desconectar y disfrutar de la tranquilidad 🌿 Yo me alojé en la habitación Nature, una habitación enorme, diáfana y con un diseño minimalista precioso. Es la única habitación sin aire acondicionado y también la única con vistas frontales al lago, que se disfrutan levantando una pequeña persiana frontal desde la propia cama La habitación está totalmente integrada en el entorno natural, con mucha luz, una ducha abierta y una bañera increíble que no pasa desapercibida. Dormir aquí es casi como hacerlo al aire libre, rodeado de árboles y naturaleza Eso sí, es importante saber que el alojamiento se encuentra justo al lado de la vía del tren, algo que se puede ver en el mapa de Booking. Al ser la habitación Nature la más abierta, cuando el tren pasa se escucha bastante. En cualquier caso, el propietario te da tapones para los oídos Por la mañana me desperté muy temprano, con una claridad increíble y rodeado de verde. Por suerte llevaba antifaz para dormir, así que la sensación fue la de haber pasado la noche en plena naturaleza. El desayuno es sencillo pero muy bueno, de tipo continental, con fruta y café Mención especial para Anthony, el host y propietario, siempre pendiente y un ejemplo claro de por qué la hospitalidad en Sri Lanka es tan reconocida. Me ayudó a organizar un tour increíble por la laguna, con visita a una plantación de canela y a un taller tradicional auténtico (no al otro de la zona mas turistico donde te cobran 20 USD solo por entrar). Además, me dio muy buenos consejos sobre lugares que visitar y restaurantes de la zona para mi trabajo Para rematar, olvidé una pieza pequeña pero muy importante de mi ordenador y Anthony la guardó sin problema hasta que pude pasar a recogerla días después Si buscas una estancia diferente y especial, este sitio es un acierto total.

Jestem absolutnie zakochana i zafascynowana tym miejscem!!! Hotel na uboczu zdala od zgiełku i hałasu miasta co jest jego ogromną zaletą.Gospodarze to niezwykle sympatyczni,uprzejmi i kochani ludzie. Pokoje są luksusowo urządzone nasz apartament miał panoramiczne okno na cudowny widok,wannę,prysznic,balkon był idealny! Wisienką na torcie okazały się śniadania w ogrodzie z obłędnym widokiem na jezioro.Soczysta zieleń,spokój i fascynujący widok sprawiły że kompletne przepadłam i nie chciałam wyjeżdżać! Jest to absolutnie magiczne miejsce i wszystkim polecam z całego serca!

Tout était parfait. Le cadre, la chambre avec baignoire et douche. L’ouverture sur la nature. Merci Anthony pour ton hospitalité, les conseils. Nous recommandons à 100%, Anthony a même pensé à nous fournir de l’anti moustique pour la nuit. C’est rare !

Anthony and his family are very welcoming and social. The location at the swimmable river is amazing for what you pay. Room was good, nice shower and good beds. Anthony also organized a river tour and it was amazing!

Location, quietness, lake view. It's further away from the noisy streets of Hikkaduwa.

The curtains don't block the sunlight.

I stayed here for two nights and it was just amazing! When I arrived they did the best they could to give me a great room. Breakfast by the lake was delicious with a nice view. It's a little bit outside town but only 8 mins walk from the train station and nice and quiet. With the tuk tuk, you only take 5 mins to all the nice restaurants and turtle beach so I had no problem. Really recommend staying here

The location is just perfect, away from the busy main street, located at a beautiful lake. If you take a kayak you end up on a sandbank in the middle of the lake surrounded only by natural beauty - highly recommended! If I hadn’t stayed in this house I surely would have had a way worse impression of Hikkaduwa.

The train passing is very loud and the beds are not the comfiest but it’s worth it anyway. If you stay for only a few nights I think that doesn’t matter.

La camera era molto pulita e accogliente, la colazione vista lago è molto rilassante e piacevole. L’host é stato molto gentile e disponibile, ci ha dato la possibilità di fare anche una doccia dopo il checkout prima di andare in aeroporto.

Ogni volte che passa un treno c’è un cane che ulula molto forte (anche in piena notte).

The hosts were very wholesome, helpful and welcoming! My stay felt personal. The breakfast over looking the lake was really nice. The room was nice and big and the shower was hot! Excellent stay for the price.

The property is in an amazing location next to the lake , the garden is amazing , it’s clean cozy nice breakfast and the hosts we very helpful . The guy fixed the WiFi issue we had in a couple of hours . Defianately recommend, it is like the pictures !

The house is located by a beautiful river, the room has a comfortable bed and a really great combination of bathtub and shower, which allows you to have a moment to relax after a whole day of traveling. The garden is full of nice plants. The owner is a very sympathetic man that speaks perfect English (among other languages). There is a nice local restaurant nearby, by the police station. It's nice to have breakfast with a beautiful view

The property is located by the railway and the main road so it's very noisy at night. Together with the broken fan it makes it impossible to sleep even using the plugs. It's min 20-30 min walk to a nice long beach, otherwise there is a super crowded beach about 10 minutes away, through a busy road. A mosquitera would be a plus. There are also termites in the room. The breakfast was very basic.

El espacio era muy cómodo, se nota que es cuidado con mucho amor antes de tu llegada, la habitación tiene pequeños detalles que te harán sentir muy bien. El desayuno también es preparado con mucho cariño . Así que básicamente me encantó la atención y cuidado amoroso que los dueños dedican a este lugar, me senti como en casa 🤍

Ich hatte einen wunderbaren Aufenthalt! Das deluxe-Zimmer war wie ein kleines Baumhaus mit traumhaftem Blick auf den See – sehr geräumig, geschmackvoll eingerichtet und absolut sauber. Besonders die Badewanne war purer Luxus. Die Gastgeber, eine herzliche russisch-sri lankianische Familie, haben meinen Besuch perfekt gemacht. Maria und ihre Familie waren unglaublich warmherzig, aufmerksam und haben dafür gesorgt, dass ich mich von der ersten Minute an willkommen und wohl gefühlt habe. Ich kann die Unterkunft von ganzem Herzen weiterempfehlen und komme sehr gerne wieder!

-Чисто, уютно, и тихо Нет шума и суеты Хиккадувы, так как отель находится на окраине города, рядом с рекой. -Вкусный завтрак с шикарным видом, который похож на заявленный на фото в описании, это было 1 раз за 7 отелей, в которых я останавливался на Шри-Ланке. -Приятные и отзывчивые хозяева, молодая семья, я задержался с выселением немного из-за отдыха на пляже, никто не ругался. -От станции Жд до отеля 700 метров, рядом есть рынок с фруктами и морепродуктами, так же крупный супермаркет в районе Жд -В номере много мест для хранения и сушки одежды

-Хочется свежего воздуха, на окнах нет москитной сетки, но как мне объяснили, это в целях безопасности, использовал потолочный вентилятор -Не стандартные разъёмы под розетки, мой переходник под них не подходил, хотя во время всего путешествия проблем с розетками не было

Everything was perfect! 👌🏾 We spend our 5 last nights in the country at Lake house and it was amazing. The place is beautiful with private beach, the room its clean and New. The wifi works super, the breakfast is yummy and Madu very very nice and helpful.

The lake is beautiful so clean and the room is to a high standard with toiletries included. Breakfast in front of the lake was lovely. The owner was super hospitable and catered for our needs without hesitation.

Cleanliness- room was cleaned once in 9 night duration, mold on the curtains and within the room, the curtains were stained, we were on the ground floor and the curtains didn’t fully close leaving a lack of privacy. We feel the current photos on booking.com are not a true reflection of the room we stayed in.

The overall stay was good and the location is decent.

We booked a standard room and when we reached the location found the room with horrible bad smell and dampness and mold. Even found cooakroachs roaming around. We had to upgrade to a better room and paid 22 dollars extra for the upgrade.

Beautiful location by the water. Swimming was a lot better than it looked. Quiet surroundings apart from the occasional train.

Room was damp (high humidity) should have gone for air conditioning. Could benefit from a kettle &coffee in the room.

Nice place to stay, not far from the beach, clean rooms. Hosts helped us during our staying very kind and responsive.

The bed was comfy. Nice big bath tub. Located by a nice lake which you can swim in.

There was some confusion about the room I booked. I booked standard double room, but somehow was allocated the ‘nature room’. This particular room had no windows and instead had some perished roll down blinds which meant the local wildlife paid me several visits. It also meant that the noise from the trains passing by was incredibly loud which disturbed my sleep and meant that I Wasn’t able to work online with clients due to the very loud sounds.

We stayed in the nature room which had a beautiful view over the lake (salt water lake where you can also swim). One side is open and gives you a feeling of sleeping in the open. As it is open you might encounter some animals passing by. 😉

Madu and his family are wonderful! The place is super comfy and it's situated in a beautiful location near a natural sea water lake! Breakfast was good and they were very helpful.

I really enjoyed the surrounding area of the house, the courtyard, and the lake next to which it is located. It’s a beautiful and peaceful place to relax if you want to escape the noisy city and unwind. With these thoughts in mind, I flew from Dubai to Sri Lanka and was lucky to stay in this quiet and cozy spot. From the courtyard, it feels as if you’re not living in a village but somewhere deep in the jungle. The staff is very welcoming and kind. They helped me with the transfer and also provided a motorbike rental, which I used to explore the jungles and various towns throughout my stay.

What I didn’t like were the mosquitoes at the beginning of my stay, but by the end, there were significantly fewer of them (the season is just starting).

The guys are extremely friendly and helpful. Instead of one night I extended to three nights and will return one day

Let’s start with amazing lake view and clearness of rooms…. They are great! When I just woke up it was early morning, sunshine was coming right through amazing balcony to my room, it felt like a dream. Special thank for the property holder, it’s such a nice person with amazing family💗 they helped me with recommendations and advices, it was nice. They also have breakfast! Can you imagine having a breakfast right in front of jungle lake in a quiet area, where only and nature exists? I love it. Definitely will come back💫🎀

What a gem!! This quiet, peaceful, and picturesque little homestay has managed to mix boutique luxury with a homely feel. The owners are most welcoming, and they will help you in any way they can! The rooms are super clean, and the view of the lagoon is beautiful. A solid 10/10, do not think twice, if there is space book!!! You won't regret it.

What an incredible stay! The location couldn't of been better, was perfect for spending time at the beach, visiting Hikkaduwa itself and even visiting Galle. The room was very clean and spacious and the receptionist was very welcoming and helped me with my plan for the surrounding area! Overall, I would highly recommend to anyone visiting Hikkaduwa.
