Die Gastgeberin ist eine super liebe Frau, das Frühstück war sensationell und der Kaffee lecker! Das Hostel ist ruhig gelegen und der Strand ist sehr nah.

Es war sehr heiß im Zimmer, mit Ventilator konnte man aber ganz gut schlafen.

C'est plus une auberge de jeunesse qu'un hôtel. Les ventilateurs ne se règlent pas et font beaucoup de bruit.

We didn’t actually stay in the end due to the mosquitoes! So we asked Chami if we could cancel and was very understanding and even waved the cancelling charge! Not only that be he got one of his staff to drop us into town at the hotel we booked for the night! I’m sure Chami and his staff would be amazing host and sort out any problems when you stay there!

Property was on a wicked location, very close to the beach and very sociable- a great way to make new friends while travelling. Staff were very so chilled, welcoming, friendly and couldn’t do more for you on your stay. Will definitely be coming back here in the future. Chami and all of the staff, you are legends! Bra att det fanns restaurang på hostelet. Vi åt där flera gånger. Maten var riktigt god. Riktigt god frukost. Billigt. De gemensamma toaletterna och duscharna var fräscha. Det var trevligt att man kunde hänga i restaurangdelen och umgås lite med andra gäster. Som helhet är det ett mysigt hostel att bo på.

Hostelet kallas också The Jungle. Det var mycket växter överallt. Det är mysigt men för oss och andra som far illa av myggbett kan det bli ett problem. Vi hade ett ganska litet rum utan aircondition. Fönstren var inte myggtäta.

Der Holzwurm ist sehr aktiv und es ist so sauber wie ein Baumhaus eben sein kann. Völlig fein, aber man sollte sich dessen bewusst sein.

Нам понравилось абсолютно всё! Это была любовь с первого взгляда 😄 В этом месте есть всё, чтобы прочувствовать атмосферу и местный колорит. Место, которое действительно запоминается! Хозяева очень радушны и всегда готовы помочь по любому вопросу. И да, завтраки были просто изумительными! Попробовали еду в других местах, и пришли к выводу, что здесь готовят самые вкусные блюда) Очень жаль, что провели здесь всего неделю, если бы у нас была возможность вернуться, то однозначно сюда ❤️

Brilliant place with a backpacker vibe. The staff are so friendly and helpful. The food is delicious and presented so nicely. Cute dogs and cats around, a treehouse area, all wonderful.

WiFi did not cover the bedrooms.

Great Hosts! The woman making breakfast was the best, she was like a mum to us! Would not let us go to bed hungry when we arrived after closing time of the restaurant!

Very small room, little space to put your stuff

L’endroit est vraiment très sympa, agréable et bien situé, notamment parce qu’il n’est pas loin de la plage, ce que nous avons beaucoup apprécié. Le personnel est également très gentil et accueillant.

Cependant, nous avons rencontré quelques difficultés. La moustiquaire de notre chambre était trouée, ce qui fait que nous avons été piquées toute la nuit. Nous avons aussi entendu énormément de bruit pendant la nuit. Avec le ventilateur, nous avions l’impression d’entendre de fortes pluies, ce qui a rendu le sommeil assez compliqué. Par ailleurs, les prises européennes dans la chambre ne permettent pas d’utiliser un adaptateur, ce qui rend la recharge de nos appareils difficile. Nous avons pu les brancher uniquement dans l’espace commun.

ドミトリーで予約したのですが個室でした。 大きな共用部屋の周囲に個室があるタイプ トイレシャワーは共同でした。 レストランも広く、ジャングルのコテージのような感ぢでいい雰囲気でした。 若者より中高年の欧州人観光客に人気の宿のようでした。

コンセントが少なく、丸い穴の旧タイプでした。 別途アダプターを貸してもらいました。

Das Personal war extrem nett, das Frühstück ausgezeichnet, und die Stimmung im Hostel, auch unter dem Personal wirklich gut. Absolut keine Geldverschwendung!!

Es ist ein wunderschönes Hostel mit einem schönen Aufenthaltsbereich der zum Restaurant dazu gehört. Es schaut alles wie ein Jungel aus und das beste war das Frühstück. Hab selten so ein gutes und ausführliches Frühstück bekommen. Wenn ich mehr Zeit gehabt hätte wäre ich noch eine Nacht geblieben nur um nochmal so ein leckeres Frühstück zu bekommen :) Personal war super hilfbereit und freundlich. Ich war in der Off season dort, darum war auch fast nichts los, was ich sehr angenehm fand.

In meinem Zimmer gab es kein AC, aber dafür einen Deckenventilator direkt über dem Bett. Was ausreichend war.

Tolles baumhaus, die lage ist sehr gut

Dusche ist draußen. Bestellen beim Restaurant is ein bisschen kompliziert wurden oft falsch verstanden und es wurden andere Gerichte serviert.

Mein Zimmer war ansprechend und sauber. Das Personal war super lieb und das Essen hat richtig gut geschmeckt und war auch preislich sehr fair. Ich würde mich jedes mal wieder für dieses Hostel in Hikkaduwa entscheiden und kann es nur jedem empfehlen!

The breakfast was exceptional; the lady had hand-made it tailored to your dietary requirements. As I am a vegetarian,n she offered me enough food to keep me full the entire day. The staff is amazing and very helpful in every way. The owner, Chami, is also a very welcoming and wonderful human being. I would definitely recommend this to everyone visiting Hikkaduwa.

It is close to the beach. The breakfast was very filling and the staff prepared food that was gluten free and dairy free due to allergies. The lady that cleans and cooks is very friendly and welcoming.

The location was great, we loved the breakfast every morning, and the outdoor shower was lovely. The staff were amazing, so friendly and kind. We asked to change room due to the size, and that was no problem at all. The lady who worked there was especially lovely :)

There was no air conditioning which made it quite hard to sleep, and the rooms are basic but for the price it’s definitely worth it

Breakfast and staff are good.

We booked a studio and it’s very bad decision… I think all mosquitos of Sri Lanka were in the room, I have more than one hundred bite (despite of mosquito net and sheet.). There are holes in the « walls » so paradise for mosquitos. We simply didn’t sleep.

I loved my new Mama who cooked at Chami's place and made special curry for me. Chami very helpful and accomodating as well. I could stay here for lonher if I didn't have to go. Great vibes!

It was quite loud - there is a trainline next to the studio room, also there is a road and in the morning it gets loud.

I liked everything here very much. The owner and the staff are very nice people. They helped us a lot in everything. The rooms are very clean and comfortable. You can also buy a tour from here and visit Sri Lanka. I will come back again one day.

Super super friendly host! We loved our interesting conversations with Chami! Room was good (shower was downstairs but it was no problem for us). Very close to cafes/reataurants (including Chamis own restaurant Hikka Chill where we also enjoyed eating with a great ocean view right on the beach). Also very close to turtle beach and good swimming and snorkelling spots where there are plenty of turtles to be seen. Highly recommend this place!

It’s in a jungle area so there are some mosquitos, but in the the bar area Chami lights anti mosquito coils and provides repellant, and in the room there is a good mosquito net over the bed. So it really wasn’t a problem for us.

We LOVED Chami's place - first off, Chami the owner is a legend, well connected in town, and very personable. Before checking in, they made us tea and talked to us which was great. They gave us the best tree house on the property and lots of advice. There is jungle all around, train tracks, close to town, great breakfast, and very cute property with dogs/monkeys around. Just a cute little place.

Instantly fell in love with this place! Breakfast was delicious and always had options and filled me for the day as a surfer/traveller. Staff were so friendly and the whole vibe and energy of the place was so great. Felt like living in a tree house in the jungle yet with all comfort necessities and great location close to everything but not on the main road so a little quieter.

The place was nice and clean. Had a great host with delicious food as per required. We enjoyed the most.

This place is an absolute gem! The place looks so awesome, with lots of plants and colors, like a little jungle camp - you can see how much effort and love were put into creating it. There is the most amazing breakfast, lunch and dinner are as tasty and the people working there are just looooovely!! We had a great time and wish you all the best! The reason for choose these place,is that we wanna suport local people and try to see the way,how people live in these side of the world. It was our first visit in Srilanka. (We travel with my Dad) So yes,they welcome all age people,from young to old :) And actually was really worthy to visit that place. We like autentic/homemade style of ambient. Really wonderfull, what a man with a good intention can create. My opinion is that place is much better,then they represent in the pictures. What we like the most,that we get everything,what we look at one place. Sleping at autentic Srilanka people, with lovely human servis,and really good breakfast (morning smoothy with fresh tropical fruits buy my heart.) Its was also option order some lunch/diner at really simpatic ambient where they offer the breakfast. What also make trip more joyfull that they offer really interesting tours all over the country, tuk-tuk drivers and also pick up/drop off at Airport. These actually save a lot of time and energy for someone,who visiting the country for the first time. Ps: walking distance to the sea with turtles.

The vibe of this place is really cool, much better for the authentic backpacker feel if that’s what you’re looking for. The staff were just so friendly, the breakfast was great, very big, and the rooms were nice and comfortable and equipped with mosquito nets

There’s a jungle-y feeling to this place which happens to come with a lot of mosquitoes. There were also gaps in the top of the room which meant they were able to get in. The bathroom wasn’t the cleanest I’ve experienced either.

Lovely stay & amazing staff

Chamis Place was very welcoming, super friendly staff and accommodating. They cater to special requests well, and can arrange taxis to the airport for a lower cost then PickMe. Overall very good value for everything!

Chami’s place is such a cool vibe! Location is perfect. The staff are SOOO nice and friendly. The breakfast was really good and filling. The restaurant food was also super tasty!

It was a plessure to Stay at Chamis place, everybody was so friendly and helpful. The treehouse feeling was perfect for get relaxed. Aah and the breakfast was yummi. Every day a little bit Different. Would come again if i would come to hikkaduwa one day

This was my first stop in Sri Lanka and it raised the bar pretty high for the rest of my trip! I loved staying here so much that I extended 2 nights to 5 nights! The hosts were so friendly and sweet and the food was great! Amazing value for money. The bathrooms were cleaned every morning, the location was great as it was only a few 100m from town but off the main road. The place itself was super cool and felt like a little tree house in the jungle. I also recommended checking out there restaurant on the beach (Hikka Chill) it’s very cute and great food! Thank you so much for having me :) I hope I can make it back before I fly out!

The room isn’t completely closed in every corner, so little insects can go inside. I didn’t have a problem with it, but I think that’s something you should consider.

It's amazing place. The staff are very cordial and friendly. Wonderful welcome drinks and breakfast. Rent was so cheap. Very close to Hikkaduwa beach. I loved that place. I wanna visit it again.. I missed it.

The WiFi wasn't good

The whole time we were treated as good frineds at Chami's place. The place is a backpacker heaven, close to everything and with a unique atmosphere. The food and drinks at the place were great too! A very warm recommendation!

We really enjoyed it here and that we were in a treehouse (!) And nature is really important to Chami and his team. They were so friendly and made sure everything was OK for us . They have renovations going on and they could not apologise enough but really it was no problem. We ate in the restaurant and the food was excellent. Thank you all very much for a lovely stay.

Location is really good but is in the trees so there were some bugs about...not a problem for us!!

I really enjoyed my staying in that tree house in the jungles. Very friendly and attentive staff. Amazing breakfast: my favourite is poached eggs with guacamole. Prefect location - away from main street, but not far away from the ocean. Clean room & comfortable bed. No AC, but no need because the place is in the jungles

The staff here were incredibly friendly and welcoming. They greeted us every morning with a new flavoured smoothie and could not have been more helpful with any questions we had.

Lovely quiet away from main road, treehouse style rooms in a mini jungle! Loved hearing trains go by! Also has yummy food in cafe in hostel, along with Chamis Hikka Chill cafe on the beach.

All the staffs were friendly and helpful during my stay. They offered me to upgrade the room to private room, also welcome drink was really good:)) It’s nice and quiet, but everything is walking distance from there. Highly recommend to anyone who is coming to this area!
