La casa è molto carina ed estremamente accogliente. L’ambiente è così bello e tranquillo che sembra di essere in un altro pianeta. La camera era pulita, ampia e spaziosa e i proprietari sono sempre stati estremamente gentili. Il tour che ci hanno organizzato è stato perfetto e senza altri turisti, quindi siamo molto soddisfatti. Non parlano inglese ma c’e un coordinatore che invece si può contattare in qualsiasi momento su whatsapp ed è pronto ad accogliere ogni richiesta. Gli altri ospiti presenti hanno messo la musica fino a tardi e quindi è stato difficile addormentarsi ma per scusarsi ci hanno offerto la cena locale cucinata da loro per noi la sera prima. Veramente consigliato!!

C'est vivre l'expérience comme les locaux qui vivent sur l'eau. Un magnifique cadre où tout est paisible et tranquille.

The rooms were clean and very comfortable. The breakfast and dinners were fantastic. We booked a boat tour with the same company that operates the homestay and it was great as well. It was a unique experience that we all really enjoyed.

The float is probably due for a reduction in the ant population.

Wat een mooie plek om tot rust te komen, mensen te leren kennen, en op je eigen tempo de natuur te verkennen! Het verblijf is eenvoudig maar geheel passend bij de ervaring. Ik ben het niet eens met de recensies die zeggen dat het verblijf veel te duur is voor wat je krijgt. Je betaalt voor een authentieke ervaring, niet voor luxe. Je leert op deze plek hoe het is om te wonen in een drijvend vissersdorp. Ik werd heel hartelijk onthaald door de hosts en de andere gasten. Je zit samen op een drijvend vlot waardoor je elkaar snel leert kennen. Ik reisde alleen maar heb me geen moment alleen gevoeld! Dat komt mede door de gezamenlijke avondmaaltijd die wederom simpel maar authentiek is. Na het eten hebben we een spelletje gespeeld en werd en nog gezwommen. Met de kayaks kun je zelf op avontuur gaan om de bay te ontdekken. Als je een dagtour op de boot wilt doen (750.000 VND) raad ik je aan om minimaal 2 nachten te verblijven omdat er na terugkomst geen vervoer meer is vanaf het hoofd eiland naar het vaste land.

Niks! Beeld je geen extreem luxe verblijf in, maar een authentieke en sociale ervaring met medereizigers. Alles wat je nodig hebt is aanwezig en de hosts doen erg hun best om je op je gemak te laten voelen. Als je niet open staat voor lokaal eten, een authentiek verblijf in een vissersdorp, of sociaal contact raad ik dit verblijf af. De reis naar de accommodatie is niet eenvoudig, maar met hulp van de host (via whatsapp) is het prima te doen. De host is altijd bereikbaar en kan de juiste bus en boot voor je regelen van/naar Hanoi of Ninh binh.

I am so glad I decided to stay here! I spent a lot of time researching how to best visit the bay - I decided on Lan Ha Bay over Halong as I read a lot of negative views of the overtourism etc. and decided on this over a cruise or staying on Cat Ba - hoping for a relaxing and unique experience. It truly surpassed expectations - the homestay and view is just absolutely stunning and paddleboarding/kayaking/swimming off the dock any time of day on our own schedule was just so lovely. It was quiet and peaceful and the host family were so lovely and helpful and the other travellers staying there we met over dinner and breaksfast were all really lovely and interesting people. We did a private boat tour of the Bay which was nice but honestly preferred our time on the homestay! The owner (available by WhatsApp) was very helpful with organising transfers, etc. Also - we loved eating on the homestay as part of the experience but we went to Cat Ba for lunch when we were out for the day on the boat tour - they are very happy to help accommodate anything we wanted and were very relaxed!

We loved the food, our host is an amazing cook. The homestay was in the bay and this made it have calm waters.

There is a lot of plastic floating around in the water that unfortunately takes away from the beautiful scenery.

Unique property, a completely different experience. Gorgeous views and a quiet space. Our host was friendly and generous. Nothing was an issue - made us amazing food and organised our activities for us, including a half day tour around some very magical spots.

The price is not worth for the standard of the accommodation. It’s charged as a hotel when its facilities are hostel standards at best. The host was nice and helpful, but it feels that we were overcharged for their accommodation, transportation and activities. Other floating home stays in the area at 1/3 or 1/2 of the price. We chose a more expensive one, thinking that the standards were better. They were not, feel misled

The bed we were in had flees we have had to now pay a load of money to get everything washed quickly before our bus it was horrible both mornings and everytime we laid on the bed covered in bites and itchy as hell this was our most expensive stay on this trip and the worst by miles The toilet seat doesn’t fit over the toilet so you sit on the disgusting bowl instead at $220 aud a night they have ten year old rough stinky towels for you to use I am genuinely upset by this whole experience They refused to give me a key to my room when we went out all day on the boat tour so I had to just leave all my valuables cash passports open for any guest anyone to take The boat tour they organise you to go with if you wish too was terrible, firstly they were an hour and 15minutes late with no message even though they had messaged the night before to say the time they would arrive, no water unless you pay included, the lunch on it was the worst food we had this whole time in Vietnam everything was over cooked it was horrible. They have extra hidden charges to get to monkey island if you cant swim well and far you have to pay for a small boat tour take you on that part of the tour that you have already paid for. I would never stay here and not advise others besides the flees it was massively overpriced by large amounts

It was the best stay we had in Vietnam. The location is unbelievable and it’s the perfect place to lay back, reflect and chill. The food was amazing and you have free Kajaks to explore the stunning nature! Would definitely go again and it was the best stay ever. We had the greatest time here :)

The SUP wasn’t pumped enough and the pump was broken unfortunately. Otherwise I could enjoy kayaking there.

The views were incredible - waking up to the beautiful surroundings was unforgettable! The hosts were so attentive. The communication before the trip was great. We were provided with local recommendations around Cat Ba including restaurants. The local food was delicious and we felt so at peace after our stay.

Todo fue estupendo! La vista alrededor de la propiedad es lo más hermoso que puedes imaginar. La comida y el servicio de la señora que trabaja allí es excelente! Se despidió de nosotros como si fuéramos parte de su familia y eso nunca lo olvidaremos. Phuong también nos ayudó con todo lo que necesitábamos desde que realizamos la reserva. Muy recomendada esta experiencia!

L’emplacement est superbe, la chambre était confortable et l’hôte est absolument adorable et soucieuse que tout le monde se sente bien. Elle cuisine super bien et les repas sont gargantuesques, nous nous sommes régalés !

Le contact avec l’agence qui gère est facile, par contre pour les services demandés , c’est soit vous payez le prix fort, soit vous vous débrouillez par vous mêmes. Ils ne sont pas très aidants. Je m’interroge sur le pourcentage que l’hôte gagne versus l’agence. Nous avons vus plusieurs gros cafards dans la chambre. Globalement c’est une belle expérience même si je trouve cela super cher.

Nous avons séjourné une nuit dans cet hôtel. La vue était magnifique et incroyable, un vrai paradis. La dame qui tenait l’établissement était super gentille. Nous avons bien mangé ! C’était agréable d’avoir une salle de bain privative avec une clim.

Nous avons trouvé que la chambre et la salle de bain sentaient très fort l’humidité, nous avons trouvé un gros cafard dans la chambre. Les draps de lit étaient trop petits, je n’avais pas d’oreiller dans ma chambre. Il manquait un coin d’ombre dehors pour se reposer. Les gérants parlaient trop fort toute la journée, difficile de se reposer.

Une expérience tout simplement extraordinaire et hors du temps. Le bateau flottant est situé dans un environnement exceptionnel, avec très peu d’autres embarcations autour, ce qui donne une véritable sensation d’isolement et de calme absolu au cœur de la baie d’Ha Long, côté Cat Ba. Le cadre est magnifique, et l’on peut directement sauter depuis les pontons pour nager. Des paddles, canoës et kayaks sont mis à disposition, en très bon état, ce qui permet de profiter pleinement du lieu. L’hôte est adorable, très attentionnée et toujours aux petits soins, préparant de très bons repas tout au long de la journée selon les envies. Une expérience vraiment unique, probablement l’une des plus belles à vivre dans la région.

It was the most amazing place ! The Landlady is a great cook and super nice . Everything was super organized. If you like traditional and super fresh food combined with a view which is unbeatable -> this is the place to go! Even as a vegetarian ther was so mich of freshly prepared food. Thank you again for having us it was just perfect !

This stay was truly one of the highlights of our time in Vietnam. We stayed for three nights and honestly wish we could have stayed longer. The setting is so peaceful, we spent our days kayaking in the calm bay and reading on the deck listening to the birds and watching the fish jump. The real standout was the onsite host, Linh. He prepared an incredible family style feast for everyone every night, and he made sure we were taken care of throughout our stay. The owner was also incredibly responsive and helpful from start to finish. If you’re looking for a peaceful getaway with amazing food, this is it.

L'idée d'avoir un logement flottant au milieu de la baie de Lan Ha est vraiment super, le cadre est magnifique et encore très peu touristique. On est à côté d'un village flottant de pêcheurs. La possibilité de prendre un kayak gratuitement pour se balader dans la baie est géniale. Les repas sont très typiques et bons !

On pouvait voir que des punaises de lit étaient ou ont été là... Quand on en a parlé on nous a changé de chambre mais le problème était le même. Et le problème ne semble pas avoir été traité ensuite. On nous dit que les repas sont inclus dans le prix mais on nous demande de les payer en partant, c'est moyen... La salle de bain n'était pas nettoyée, en bois très humide, un cafard est venu nous rendre visite.

Kinda overpriced. Would also be nice to have the option to have dinner separately, one of the reasons I booked that place is cause I wanted some quiet alone time. Staff's attitude also changed after I told him I've booked a tour myself.

Die Lage ist außergewöhnlich, sehr ruhig mit einem wunderschönen Blick auf die Felsformationen. Alle Mahlzeiten waren frisch zubereitet und sehr lecker. Es hat ein wenig den Charm eines Ferienlagers, da alle Gäste die Mahlzeiten gemeinsam an einem Tisch einnehmen und auch (wenn gewünscht) den Abend dort gemeinsam verbringen können.

Wir hatten leider für die 1. Nacht ein Zimmer direkt am Gemeinschaftsraum und nach dem wir das Bad mit einer Dusche eingeweiht haben, hat das Bad und somit leider das ganze Zimmer einen sehr unangenehmen Geruch angenommen. Für die 2. Nacht konnten wir das Zimmer tauschen - danke nochmals an die Flexibilität des Besitzers. Leider, leider hatten wir so schlechtes WLAN und Handy-Netz dort, dass die Kommunikation mit dem Besitzer, der nicht vor Ort ist, sehr schwierig war. Die beiden Angestellten sind wahnsinnig lieb, nett und hilfsbereit, jedoch sprechen sie leider überhaupt kein Englisch und wenn kein Übersetzungs-Tool über das Internet funktioniert, wird es wirklich schwierig mit der Kommunikation. Auch wenn man die Tatsache berücksichtigt, dass (fast) alle Lebensmittel mit dem Boot angekarrt werden müssen, fanden wir den Preis im Vergleich zu anderen Unterkünften in Vietnam sehr hoch.

Lors de la promenade en bateau, le pilote ne nous a permis de nous arrêter qu’une seule fois. Comme il ne parlait pas anglais, il était impossible de communiquer.

La chambre est jolie, propre et bien équipée. On se sent vraiment isolé, au calme, ce qui fait beaucoup de bien pour se déconnecter. Le cadre est apaisant et dépaysant. Le dîner est un vrai point fort : les plats étaient délicieux, vraiment exceptionnels.

Le petit déjeuner est décevant. Les fruits étaient bons, mais les nouilles avaient une odeur désagréable et immangeable . Autre point à améliorer : les transats. Il n’y en a pas assez par rapport au nombre de chambres, et ils fonctionnent sur le principe du “premier arrivé, premier servi”. Certains clients les réservent pour toute la journée, ce qui oblige les autres à utiliser des chaises, beaucoup moins confortables. Comme il n’y a pas grand-chose à faire autour, c’est un peu dommage. Enfin, l’hôtel propose une balade en bateau d’environ 5 heures. La sortie est agréable, mais il y a malheureusement beaucoup de déchets, ce qui gâche un peu l’expérience. Ce n’est évidemment pas directement la faute de l’hôtel, mais peut-être qu’une sensibilisation ou une action pourrait améliorer ce point. Malgré ces aspects, l’expérience reste agréable pour le cadre, le calme et la qualité des repas 👍

Endroit magnifique au calme au milieu de la nature :) Accès à des kayaks très appréciable, personnel très gentil et très bon petit déjeuner européen !

Logements vétustes plus spécialement la salle de bain, pour le prix on pourrait s'attendre à un peu mieux : la cuvette des toilettes cassées, la sdb trempée en permanence, pas d'eau fournie, le repas était très cher (même si bon)

Une expérience inoubliable dans la baie de Lan Ha, calme et sérénité... Nous avons passé une soirée très agréable autour d'un dîner partagé avec les autres hôtes, Kayaking et excursion en bateau dans la magnifique baie de Lan ha, je recommande.

amazing staff, very friendly and super easy to reach and communicate with. very helpful as well with arranging transport and special requests (in our case: a bottle of wine;) ) and the food is amazing! there’s lots of options, fresh seafood, the best springrolls so far, great pork/chicken/beef and also good veggie options. we stayed 2 nights and had 2 completely different meals. would reccommend! note that if you want specific beverages other than cola or beer, bring them yourself or arrange with them what you’d like to have. they’re very willing to help! there’s free coffee/tea and filtered water as well

L'emplacement est fantastique, isolé, avec une vue superbe sur les reliefs. Visite de la baie de lan ha avec un bateau privé qui vient accoster au homestay. Personnel très gentil.

Il y a 2 barges avec 3 chambres sur chacune. La barge la plus récente est très bien. L'autre, celle où nous logions, est vétuste avec un rapport qualité prix médiocre. Pas de chance après notre dernier dîner nous avons eu 3 personnes sur 3 avec une intoxication alimentaire.

Cet homestay est à couper le souffle. On s’y sent tout de suite bien et apaisé. Nos hôtes étaient adorables et aux petits soins pour nous.

Our floating homestay's sole employee suffered under adverse circumstances. Wifi was down and she was working alone. Considering the challenges she did everything possible to make our stay comfortable. The location is a bit remote and suffers from lack of easy transportation to/from the main dock, just 15 minutes away. This became a challenge for us but we survived. We met very interesting guests and enjoyed their company. The food was plentiful and tasty. "Facilities" could use fresh coats of varnish, which the owner is neglecting. Hot water if "iffy". Wonderful in concept, somewhat lacking in physical execution. The sliding door to our room was "off track" and would not budge. All in all a satisfactory experience because of the exertions of the sole Vietnamese-speaking employee. Not a bargain at the price.

Really makes me sad seeing garbage in the ocean.

The property is nestled in the magnificent Lan Ha Bay, offering incredible views of the karst mountains. The staff were very kind; even though they didn't speak English, they made themselves understood using a translation app on their phone. The Wi-Fi worked well. Dinner was abundant and tasty, prepared by the staff and served at a communal table, which created a lovely atmosphere and encouraged interaction among guests. The room was small, and unfortunately, ours faced the back—though the view was still very beautiful, we had to keep the blinds down because the kitchen area was nearby and staff passed through that zone frequently. The room itself was of decent size, simple and rustic but in keeping with the style of the property, and it was clean. Breakfast was excellent. The organization of activities in the bay and the transfer back to Hanoi were very efficient.

I would suggest some improvements to the bathrooms—they are very minimal, a bit cramped, and slightly worn. Also, the doors to the rooms could be better fitted, as ours didn't close properly, and we didn't have keys.

Its kind of magical. Great comfortable room, pretty as heck, wifi to work, and at night, it feels like you are floating on the edge of space itself. Its a great place to get lost in. Also, the dinner is a an absolute feast. The staff is wonderful and don't let the language barrier scare you, just use google translate and get on.

I mean, I did get food poisoning, but it was still worth it ;) Its SEA, you have to expect to be laid out a few days, and I'd risk it again. They were really lovely and had medication for me, and let me lie down past check out as I wasn't feeling well.

Die Unterkunft war richtig toll und die Familie auch sehr sehr freundlich und bemüht einem den besten Aufenthalt zu gewährleisten. Die Zimmer waren sauber und die Betten sehr bequem. Es gibt Kayaks und SUPs zum kostenfreien leihen.

the view and the location was great.. the shared meals at dinner time was great way to meet other travellors.

Seeing the fishing boat parked out the front dumping their rubbish straight out from us was disturbing. in such a lovely looking place it was very disappointing to see the rubbish floating around us. It took away from the natural beauty of the location. Also the floating home stay itself needed some simple maintenance - ie trip hazard's in floor boards sticking up, needing to be rescrewed down and sliding doors squeaking loudly and needing attention, mould in the bathrooms, meals were disappointing.

If you’re looking for an authentic but comfortable experience , this is the place for you. The staff was helpful, kind, and patient. The entire process from beginning to end from Hanoi was seamless. The food was abundant and delicious. The views and sunset were unreal. Best part of our trip so far.

Des cendriers débordant de mégots sur les terrasses. Horriblement cher pour ce que c est... aurait convenu pour la moitié du prix pour une expérience d une nuit.

C'est un endroit unique, vous vous retrouvez au milieu de la baie, sans aucun vis à vis, les repas sont fantastiques. C'est une ambiance qu'il faut absolument tester. Mention spéciale: nous avons pu décalé les dates de notre séjour au dernier moment, merci beaucoup pour ce superbe séjour

Did get to stay there

Messaged us 3 hours before the stay to tell us it was cancelled. Very unclear as to why. Tried to book us into a really crappy looking hotel instead. Luckily we were able to last minute extend at the hotel we were at, 1 hour before we had to check out! Beware.

La posizione è impagabile! Permette di immergersi nella baia di Lan Ha in un clima di relax assoluto, in quanto si trova in una zona decentrata e senza altre Floating Homestay. La piattaforma ha buone dimensioni e permette di godersi dei momenti di svago anche fuori dalla camera. Lo staff è stato cordiale e sempre disponibile ad aiutare nell'organizzazione del soggiorno e delle attività anche se non sempre capiscono l'inglese. Ci è piaciuta molto l'aggiunta di una ragazza molto simpatica, che si occupa dei cocktail (5€ l'uno) e che parla un buon inglese. Abbiamo apprezzato la possibilità di usare i kayak e i sup liberarmente per poter esplorare la piccola baia in cui si trova la struttura. Caffé e tea sono gratuiti, mentre birra, coca e acqua sono a pagamento. La cena è costata 250k VND ed è stata di "gruppo" con una tavolata condivisa con gli altri ospiti. Abbiamo mangiato un menù di pesce fresco, molto buono e vario, con porzioni abbondanti. Sul tavolo avevamo 7-8 varianti fra piatti e contorni + riso in gran quantità. Erano disposti a portare ancora cibo ma eravamo pieni. Sono disponibili anche a gestire eventuali diete, preferenze alimentari (es. Vegetariani), basta avvisarli per tempo. Il Wi-Fi era buono e stabile come segnale, gran plus considerato il posto in cui ci troviamo. La nostra camera era molto spaziosa, crediamo fosse la più grande disponibile. Pulita e di aspetto piavevole, era dotata anche di climatizzatore. La colazione è stata buona, come per la cena non c'è stata scelta. Ci hanno portato della frutta e delle uova strapazzate con verdure e pane tostato. Abbiamo potuto testare solo il tour in barca privato della baia, giro molto bello, considerato che viene effettuato con una piccola barca e il barcaiolo ti porta nelle callette più piccole e nascoste. Nota di merito, che non c'entra con il soggiorno in sé, ma ho apprezzato molto personalmente. La struttura ha un sistema di fotovoltaico + batterie di accumulo.

La cena in condivisione; mi spiace ma siamo un po' asociali 😅. Nulla di drammatico sia chiaro. Un altro aspetto della cena condivisa (e del menu "a sorpresa", perché non sai cosa mangi fino a quando non sei seduto) è che viene avanzato molto cibo. Meglio per i pesci 🐟 La camera dovrebbe avere qualche spazio di appoggio aggiuntivo, o almeno altri ganci per appendere. Mi piacerebbe se offrissero e/o usassero dei prodotti ecologici, sia per il bagno, sia per lavare/pulizia, perché poi tutto finisce in acqua ed si dovrebbe preservare il più possibile la bellezza del luogo. Per quanto riguarda il tour in barca privato, è stato frustrante realizzare solamente una volta in barca che non avremmo visto le spiaggette piccoline della baia (se c'è alta marea, non si vedono!). L'organizzatore ci ha chiesto che giro volessimo fare e su 3 mie richieste, non ne ha soddisfatta neanche una. Il giro è stato bello lo stesso, ma ha creato delle false aspettative. Sapendo per esempio che volevo vedere le spiaggette tipo 3 peaches beach, avrebbe dovuto informarmi p quantomeno consigliarmi un orario differente.

We had an amazing time at the Lan Ha floating homestay. Everything was very well organised, the beds was comfy and the room clean, the homestay had different platforms to lounge and appreciate the stunning views l, surprisingly quiet and free kayack and paddle were a great bonus. We had a free lunch, and the dinner was freshly made and tasty as hell (so much food and around 250000vnd per person just so you know) They also had cool beers and water to purchase on the boat.

The door to our room was very squeaky, but that is really nit picking

It's magical. Everything about it is perfect. The staff are amazing and kind, the rooms are to a high standard, and the experience of being out at sea on the floating platform with the fish and nature is amazing. We did the night plankton tour and it was good quality with nice food and a great host as well. The dinner on the homestay was truly amazing. Food in general was a highlight and different too. The price seems a bit more than elsewhere but the quality lives up to the price in my opinion.

Nothing bad. The weather was wet and that meant that the WiFi didn't always work, but that isnt the fault of the hosts and I recommend embracing the chance to unplug.
