Reviewed Apr 6, 2026Belle structure, chambre moderne et propre. Belle piscine. Petit déjeuner correct, mais certains aliments restent à l’air libre longtemps, pas beaucoup de choix de fruits et œufs bons un matin sur deux. Chiens super mignons, allez voir celui qui est souvent attaché, il est super.
On aurait aimé être tenu au courant à l’avance qu’il y avait l’organisation d’une fête d’anniversaire pendant tout un week-end. Beaucoup trop de bruit toute la nuit, impossible de dormir. Le personnel ne s’en souciait pas du tout. Tout le monde paye sa nuit d’hôtel, donc tout le monde est censé en profiter. Le respect commun semble malheureusement ne pas être la priorité du personnel. De plus, le personnel de l’hôtel parle très très fort tôt le matin et la musique de la réception est aussi très élevée. De plus, attention pour vos réservations car 1 jour avant notre départ, on reçoit un message de leur part nous indiquant qu’il était temps de faire le check out. Organisation à renforcer.

The breakfast left much to be desired, with only bread, butter, jam and fruit, and cooked eggs if you are lucky to have someone there to cook them. On the first day we were being picked up at 8am and the hotel had told us breakfast started at 7am, but when we went down at 7:20am the breakfast wasn't ready and there was no one around. We had to knock at the management door and then they started preparing the breakfast and we had to wait 10min to be ready. And another morning the breakfast was ready but there just wasn't anyone there to cook the eggs.

Reviewed Mar 16, 2026Fairly central. Comfy beds. Clean facilities. Close to yummy 2 and Milo’s which are good restaurants. Helpful hosts who allowed us to check in earlier- sorted bus tickets as well.
Stains on laundered bed sheets (obvious old stains) but still smelt laundered so didn’t complain. Pool is smaller than pictured (but weather wasn’t great so didn’t use it anyway).

Accueil par une gentille dame qui ne comprenait rien. Nous n avons jamais rencontré la patronne. Donc aucune explication. Restaurant fermé le soir Pas d eau chaude On a voulu réserver un bus pour Hanoï deux jours avant. Plus de place dans le bus car la propriétaire a fait la demande trop tard. 1 ère fois au Vietnam.. par nous même nous avons réussi à avoir une place dans le bus de 9 h Je ne recommande pas

È sulla collina , se vi muovete a piedi farete un po' di salita. Abbiamo avuto sfortuna e a causa di un matrimonio nel ristorante vicino all' hotel abbiamo dormito poco, ma di solito dovrebbe essere più silenzioso

Nous sommes malheureusement arrivés lors d’un mariage qui avait lieu à proximité, la musique et la fête nous ont rendu le repos un peu difficile.

Reviewed Jan 5, 2026Nice and responsive host. You can arrange tours through them which is very convinient. Good size room and bathroom, quite comfortable bed. Everything was very clean. This was a very satisfactory accomodation for 3 night stay. Location was verry good - away from the touristy areas but with some great local eating places. Walking distance to the ahrbour and to Cat Ba town center. We highly recommend this propoerty for Cat Ba stays.
Included breakfast had very limited food selection. Almost no storage aside from some wall hooks. It was fine for our short stay but may be a problem for longer stays.

Reviewed Jan 5, 2026Das Personal war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit und hat uns bei der Buchung einer spontanen privaten Bootstour unterstützt. Der Motorradverleih hat ebenfalls unkompliziert funktioniert, ohne große Vorplanung.
Das Frühstück war etwas spartanisch, aber man kann ja überall und jederzeit Essen kaufen.

Reviewed Nov 24, 2025Établissement bien situé. Hôtes sympathiques. Chambre assez spacieuse et grande. L’établissement a réservé pour nous une journée en bateau dans l’archipel, ce qui était pratique.
Le premier soir nous avons commandé de la nourriture que nous n’avons pas trop aimé, mais on ne peut pas dire que c’était mauvais puisque la nourriture était faite maison. Ensuite nous avons loué un scooter 2 jours différents (le premier et 3ème jour) le scooter que nous avons loué le premier jour était bien, mais le réservoir était vraiment vide (ce n’était pas grave) Et le troisième jour nous avons demandé un scooter le matin, et il était disponible vers 14h.. Il était en mauvais état, le compteur ne fonctionnait pas, il n’y avait pas un demi litre d’essence à l’accélération il faisait des bruits bizarres. Ce n’est pas l’établissement qui loue directement les scooters mais elle passe par un loueur. J’aurai apprécié qu’elle nous dise directement que ce n’était pas possible et nous aurions loué un scooter ailleurs. À part ça le logement en lui même est bien 👍

Reviewed Dec 23, 2024This place is a gem in Cat Ba. The dorm is new and modern with a clean bathroom, comfortable bed and decent sized lockers to store your belongings. I was the only guest in my room so it was very quiet and relaxing. It's really close to the port where all the boat tours go from. The staff were incredibly polite and helpful, they sorted my laundry, helped me to hire a scooter and organised my transport to Hanoi. Would highly recommend! One of the nicest hostels I've stayed in in SE Asia!!

Reviewed Nov 5, 2024Trans house was amazing, family run business, who greeted us with warm smiles on arrival. Rooms are clean, spacious, nice showers, tv with Netflix and YouTube. Perfect place to relax for a few days. Location close to the beach so we could get some drinks and food. Helpful with scooter hire and general knowledge of cat ba. We accidentally left our go pro on check out and the team kept it safe and kept in a safe place so we could pick it up. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.
