Reviewed Sep 18, 2026Il nostro cottage in legno era molto grande, pulito, accogliente e ben fornito, situato una bella posizione tranquilla vicino al fiume. Saremmo volentieri rimasti più di una notte. Charl è stato molto disponibile, ci ha dato consigli per la cena e sui luoghi migliori da vedere nel Blyde River Canyon. Posizione comoda per raggiungere Graskop e molti luoghi di interesse turistico, noi vi abbiamo fatto tappa prima di raggiungere il Kruger. La nottata è stata fredda ma al mattino ci ha accolto un bel sole, saremmo rimasti tutto il giorno a giocare con gli splendidi cani di Charl.

Struttura estremamente fredda senza fan coil o altro per riscaldare. Abbiamo dormito con diverse coperte, i calzini e le maglie termiche. L'host a volte un poco invadente e scortese con il personale. Personale super gentile. Attenzione alla strada sterrata per arrivare soprattutto al buio

Reviewed Aug 29, 2026Il proprietario è stato molto accogliente e disponibile, puntuale nelle risposte e ci ha dato degli splendidi consigli. La struttura è vicina alle principali attrazioni ma allo stesso tempo immersa nella natura e tranquilla. La cucina è completamente fornita.
È molto rustico, quindi non ha riscaldamento nè Wi-Fi. Ci sono tutte le coperte necessarie nel caso. Bisogna portarsi tutto da mangiare, forse te/caffe/olio/sale potrebbero essere fornite dalla struttura.

Reviewed Aug 21, 2026Posto meraviglioso, in mezzo alla natura, sulla riva del fiume Lisbon. 3 fantastici cani vi faranno compagnia. Circa un chilometro e mezzo dalle cascate Lisbon, raggiungibili a piedi tramite un facile sentiero. Chalet molto grandi e spaziosi con 6 letti. Il proprietario è una persona squisita e simpatica, sempre pronto ad aiutare per qualsiasi necessità. Ci tornerei volentieri.
Sono stato solo due giorni, vale la pena passarci più tempo!

Reviewed Aug 16, 2026We stayed one night at Lisbon Eco Lodge. The lodge is in a beautiful and peaceful location surrounded by nature, with great views and space for up to 6 people. The location is 10 minutes away from Graskop city center. Overall, it’s a nice place in a great setting, but we would definitely recommend it more for the warmer months.
Unfortunately, we happened to stay during some of the coldest days of winter in August, and the lodge was extremely cold with no way to heat it up. We really struggled with the temperature during the night.

Boli sme koncom jula a v noci bola velka zima aj priamo v ubytovani. Odhadujem okolo 10-12°C vo vnutri izby. Majitel sice zabezpecil dalsie prikryvky, no napriek tomu niesme zvyknuty na taku zimu v miestnosti kde spime a vobec sme sa nevyspali. Bol som rad ze sme si ubytovanie rezervovali len na jednu noc. Bolo by vhodne nainstalovat ohrievace alebo kurenie pre zimne obdobie.

Reviewed Jun 7, 2026Amazing that it has its own water and solar power, so despite the multi-day power outage in the Graskop region that also took out the water supply, we had power for lighting and charging and clean water. Lovely wooden lodges, right on the bank of the river. The owner lives on the farm and is super friendly.
It can get a bit chilly at night in the winter but there were plenty of fleece and blankets. The gas boiler for the shower was a little finicky and cut out once or twice.

We loved having coffee on the balcony overlooking the river in the morning, and had lovely walks with the host’s 3 sweet dogs to Lisbon Falls. Charl, our host, was also so friendly and helpful.

Es ist sauber, die Küche ist gut ausgestattet, Charl ist ein hervorragender und sehr hilfsbereiter Gastgeber, der viele Tipps für die Umgebung hat. Drei tolle Hunde gehören auch zur Farm, die mir auf den Weg zu den Lisbon Falls gezeigt haben 😉

Reviewed May 9, 2026Heerlijk de rust en ligging. We werden enthousiast verwelkomd door de eigenaar met de honden. Toen we de poort doorkwamen en de chalets zagen waren we eigenlijk al verkocht. Wat een rust en sereniteit. De huisjes zijn eenvoudig ingericht maar je hebt alles wat je nodig hebt. Een heerlijk plek om lekker ye onstpannen zonder afleiding van telefoon of internet. De eigenaar kan je alles vertellen over de omgeving en wat er te doen is. En dat is een hoop.
Let wel op. Geen wifi wel gsm bereik met de telefoon. En het huis is zelfvoorzienend met stroom.

And yea, the location, a beautiful farm,with the river passing by, Plus super cute dogs :) Very close to Lisbon falls, God's window and all the attractions and town, but still immersed in nature. The cottage is vast,comfortable well equipped, and beautifully decorated, with nice old farm and family touches. Im sure a stay in this place will make your vacation better. Dont miss

Lodge en ambiance rustique du far west qui a son charme out of time. Et c’est bien aussi d’être sans wifi.

Reviewed Feb 10, 2026A pleasant place in the middle of nature, in solitude, especially suitable for a few days' stay. In the countryside by the river, without wifi, a few minutes walk from the Lisbon waterfall. There are large but very friendly sheepdogs.
You need to have a working South African SIM card to call the owner and have him open the gate. Be careful - operators often sell only data without the ability to make calls!

Reviewed Jan 27, 2026Contexte: post inondations Nous sommes restés seulement une nuit, dans un immense chalet au bord d’une rivière très propre avec une eau claire dans laquelle on peut s’y baigner! Charlie est de très bon conseils, ses chiens sont adorables et viennent avec vous jouer dans la rivière! Le chalet est très propre, possède sa propre cuisine et tout ce qu’il faut pour s’y sentir bien !!! Concernant les inondations, notre réservation au camp dans le Kruger était pas possible car la route était endommagée, Charlie a appelé tous ses contact pour être sure que la route était praticable ou pas, finalement Charlie a réussi à changer notre réservation pour un autre camp plus accessible malgré des informations incohérentes de la part des différents interlocuteurs, Charlie a vraiment été incroyable. Il est même resté avec nous pendant 1h30 pour résoudre ce problème! Seul bémol, nous aurions aimé rester plus longtemps dans ce petit coin de paradis

And we loved the dogs..!! They came to our cabin every day and kept watch over us. Very friendly dogs. Overall it was a very enjoyable stay.
Nothing in particular. Except there was some insect or something at night kept making fluttering noise from within the wooden roof. It felt as if something was trying to gnaw through the wooden roof. We didn't find what exactly was going on, but we did manage to sleep off.

A more than 150-year-old cottage house, yet good-looking and neat; serene ambiance of the small farm; picturesque riverbank location; proximity to Graskop (5 - 10 minutes’ drive), Sabie and Pilgrim’s Rest (25 - 30 minutes’ drive), and all the key natural wonders of the Blyde River Canyon (15 - 50 minutes’ drive depedning on what you're driving to). And of course, the host - Charl, one of the friendliest men you can imagine.
The only minor issue was the gas geyser, which worked quite unevenly, making the hot water fluctuate from nearly boiling to barely warm.

Reviewed Oct 24, 2025Peaceful setting by the water, surrounded by mountains. Friendly staff. Do think you need a vehicle with big wheels to access the property though. Not a problem for us, but worth mentioning. No wifi or TV (ok for us, but some might not like this).
The living room furniture felt old and worn. There are 3 dogs on the property. I am not a dog person, so do not love dogs coming into the space where I live, but that did not happen a lot. The rest of the family were happy with the dogs :-)

Nestled in the heart of nature, surrounded by towering trees and the calming sounds of Lisbon River, it was a perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The lodge itself has all necessities in the kitchen. Very spacious living room. The highlight was the company of the three lovable dogs. They are incredibly friendly and always ready for a cuddle.
The shower water is either freezing or burning hot. Would be good to fix

Reviewed Oct 21, 2025Charl is the perfect host willing to help at any time. We loved the dogs Eva, Bella and Luna. There is a natural spring on the property and drinking pure fresh water was unexpected and a treat. Everything is so relaxed and we regret not spending more time at the lodge.

Reviewed Oct 12, 2025Близость к природе, пешком дошли до водопада, ночью наслаждались звуками стрекочущих насекомых, как в медитации. Великолепный хозяин, дал нам гида на водопад. Как я поняла, они организовывают разные маршруты в округе. Территория очень красивая, а еще собаки - очень дружелюбные, одна спала с нами, с другими мы гуляли и играли
Дрова были влажные, не удалось сделать мясо на гриле, пожарили на плите. Просто учтите этот момент в своем проживании

Reviewed Sep 28, 2025Our family of 4 loved our stay at Lisbon Eco Lodge. We used of as a base to discover the famous panorama route before entering Kruger. Charl was a responsive and very kind host. We had a lovely chat with him, he showed us around and gave us good tips for the sights and restaurant for diner (Garden Shed) and lunch along the way (the Chubby Pig): all very good! The cabin was very neat and set in a fantastic and peaceful location (just 10/15 mins drive from Graskop and from God’s Window. We had a beautiful morning walk to the Lisbon falls. Charl’s dogs Jefa, Ella Bella and Luna walked along and showed us the way to the falls and back. Priceless moments. We and our teenagers really loved it!! Thanks again Charl!!

Reviewed Aug 31, 2025Stunning location on the banks of the Lisbon river. Very and cute and comfortable log cabin with a lovely deck and downstairs braai area. Well equipped kitchen and very comfortable beds. Charlie the host was excellent and we loved his dogs!

Reviewed Aug 26, 2025We called Charl on arrival and he opened the gate and showed us all the facilities. Charl was super friendly and helpful. He also recommended places to eat and visit. It was quiet and tranquil on the property. Everything was lovely and clean.
