Merci pour ce séjour incroyable. L’hôtel est décoré à la perfection et le personnel plus que parfait. Nous avons même pu bénéficier d’un late checkout pour nous arranger avant de prendre notre vol. Le chef prépare des plats délicieux !!! Merci encore à vous tous, nous avons pu finir nos vacances de la manière des façons.

Just back from a few nights at The Nine and it was a truly amazing stay from start to end and a real bit of luxury to round off our trip to Sri Lanka. The property is stunning with a fabulous pool and wonderful views. The staff are also very friendly and went above and beyond to ensure our stay was as enjoyable as possible. Special shout-out to Chandana (the chef) for the most delicious breakfasts and wonderful Sri Lankan curry at night - you must stay for dinner at night! The owner was also there with his family and also went out of his way to make sure we were very well looked after. As the hotel is boutique, you truly get the 5* service you don’t get at bigger resorts. Our room was clean with a beautiful view/ I am ever back in Mirissa I will definitely be back!!

Огромная терраса, на которой можно наблюдать за природой, смотреть на красивое звездное небо и пролетающими над головой лисицами. Чувствуешь себя в окружении природы. Приходили обезъянки и павлин. Убираются в номере хорошо. Персонал очень вежливый. Готовили номер ко сну. Завтраки: яичница, тосты, фрукты, овощи, сок. При этом всегда уточняли, достаточно ли еды для завтрака. Сам отель располагается недалеко от основного пляжа, нужно пройти по дороге минут 5, если выйти к краю пляжа и минут 10-15 к основной его части. Отель однозначно рекомендую, особенно для любителей красоты, природы и единения с ней. За счет панорамных видов из стекла в солнечную погоду номер очень быстро нагревается. Но кондиционер в целом справляется. На террасу в пекло босиком не выйдешь, идешь словно по раскаленным углям :) Также нужно быть готовым просыпаться с первыми петухами :) Со всей живностью, живущей в этих живописных местах!

Everything! The aesthetic stands out first but when you go in and meet the staff. They are genuinely great. The facilities are spot on, from heavy kettlebells to board games and a lovely pool. The rooms have a unique charm and are frequently turned over by very attentive staff.

The space, setting and design

Due to it being out of season it was a little quiet

We spent several nights at this hotel and had a somewhat mixed experience. On the positive side, the room was clean, comfortable, and generally pleasant to stay in. The shampoo provided had a truly lovely scent, which added a small touch of care to the otherwise basic amenities. The pool area was one of the highlights of our visit – well-maintained, peaceful, and a great place to relax.

Unfortunately, there were also quite a few issues that impacted our overall impression. There were days when towels and cushions hadn’t been laid out on the sun loungers, which made the pool area feel a bit unprepared. The fitness area by the pool, looked quite damp and uninviting, with a musty atmosphere and visible rust on some of the equipment – not something we felt encouraged to use. Although the hotel is listed as beachfront, it’s actually located about a 6–7-minute walk from the beach, which should be clearly communicated. Guests are expected to request meals a day in advance, but no one informed us of this, which caused some confusion. The property itself felt a bit worn in places, and reaching our room involved climbing many stairs – not ideal if you have mobility concerns. The manager’s behavior made us uncomfortable at times; he commented on my mood asking my boyfriend when we walked past him "madam is upset ?" and walked around barefoot in stained clothes, which didn’t convey a very professional image. Despite informing him that I’m vegetarian, I was still served sausages for breakfast, and when I reminded him, his response was simply that it wasn't a problem - I could just give them to my boyfriend. Not exactly the level of consideration one expects. Breakfast couldn’t be customized, and there were no power adapters in the room. Finally, when we arranged transport to Colombo through the hotel, the car was surprisingly basic considering the very high price we paid. All in all, while there were definitely aspects of our stay that we appreciated, the experience as a whole did not quite live up to the standard – or the price – of a 5-star hotel.

The room and experience was exceptional . Stunning room and view and the magic of the monkeys every morning putting in a show made the stay so special .

We didn’t get to look at the lunch menu however this would have been nice as the food was very good at breakfast . Very quiet and relaxed place , not may alcohol options you have to pre- request

Our stay here was incredible and we felt so welcomed. I celebrated my birthday at The Nine and they planned a special rooftop dinner. Everything from the service to the surroundings was amazing and so well thought out. Delicious food and beautiful views of Mirissa.

The nine is set into the green and looks stunning. The staff were amazing and so friendly and went out of their way to help and give information. The pool is lovely and breakfast was really yummy

Loved the views from our rooftop terrace! The staff were so kind and helpful and the manager Wasantha went beyond expectations to make our stay special.

Although the aspect of the room was amazing- the outlook, the views - we believe the furniture in the property really needed an upgrade. For the price and grading of the property we expected more. The fittings & furniture looked old and jaded and the bed was very noisy and creaky with every movement. Small issues for some, but for our stay of 4 nights it did impact our experience.

Geweldig modern, lux hotel met heerlijk zwembad. Uitstekende locatie vlakbij de haven en Secret Beach, maar ook dicht bij diverse strandtentjes- en restaurant. En bovenal: geweldig zorgzaam en ontvankelijk personeel. Ze helpen je met alles. Zeker een aanrader, maar wel als je ruim in het budget zit!

Auf unserer gesamten Sri Lanka Reise war das unser Lieblingshotel. Wir haben uns hier direkt vom ersten Moment an wie zu Hause gefühlt. Das Team war unglaublich lieb, das Frühstück hervorragend und wir haben den Blick aus unserem Zimmer sehr genossen. Wir fanden es super, dass man unten am Pool ungestört Sport machen konnte und dass Hanteln, Matten etc. vorhanden war. Die Lage fanden wir persönlich perfekt - nicht mitten im Trubel, aber trotzdem alles fußläufig erreichbar. Die gesamte Anlage ist sehr sehr erholsam. Vielen Dank an das Team.

Wir fanden es etwas ungewöhnlich, dass es keine Tür zum Badezimmer gab... so hat man doch alles von seinem Partner mitbekommen ;) Ansonsten war alles perfekt!

This hotel has a sea view and is well located in Mirissa. It is close to the beach and main street and very close to the harbour if you are off out whale watching. All the staff are very attentive and it was a great experience. It has a nice pool along with a couple of inflatables and some kettle bells. You are well looked after from beginning to end.

The location is so unique along with the architecture design of the building pool and landscaped tropical gardens and pool. Big marks to the resident peacock putting a regular display on for all the guests. The resort appears to be a lot larger in the photos, but it is a boutique, luxurious and intimate resort. A luxury warm home from home. So comfortable and welcoming. All the staff from security guard up were warm and welcoming. Special mention to the chef. His craft is amazing and so tasty, but his conversation and background is also really intriguing and interesting.

We only stayed a night, far too short, but that was our fault. 2-3 nights should be the bare minimum stay.

We loved the huge, comfy bed, the wonderful views, monkeys and peacocks, incredibly kind staff and SUPER delicious food!

Superb on every level. Attention to detail, customer service, location, food, environment and wildlife that surprises, entertains, titivates and educates. Far from 'industrial' hotel chains the peace of The 9 Mirissa surpasses anything else available. Fine dining and personalised cultural cooking classes, guided by a 7 star chef are a delight.

Uns hat wirklich alles in diesem Hotel gefallen. Das Zimmer war sehr modern und groß. Das Hotel auch sehr sehr schön. Das Personal super freundlich. Und der Koch macht ein ausgesprochen gutes Essen, also auf jeden Fall einmal vor Ort essen. Das Frühstück war sehr lecker. Dadurch, dass das Hotel nicht so groß ist, fühlte man sich, als würden die Kellner und der Koch nur für einen selbst da sein. Absolute Empfehlung! Und es ist sehr angenehm ruhig gelegen, aber trotzdem nur ca. 7 Gehminuten vom Zentrum Mirissa bzw. Mirissa Beach entfernt.

truly one of our favorite places we’ve ever stayed in any country. Everyone there is incredibly kind, and the hospitality made us genuinely happy throughout our stay. A special mention to Chef Chandana honestly one of the best chefs you’ll ever experience. Every meal was unforgettable. The entire team is amazing, always smiling, always helpful, and they make you feel at home from the first moment. Ican’t wait to come back, not just to stay again, but to eat every single meal there. The staff at the nine are incredible, every single person we met. I wish we had asked for more names, but every single person was AMAZING. So caring and attentive. Myself and my partner Haran, will be back and we will bring our Family and Friends. The location is amazing, the staff amazing, the food amazing. This place deserves the success it will get because everyone works so hard to make it special. We had regular sightings of Monkeys and Peacocks which just made it more special. Well done guys on such an amazing place and for giving us such special memories, see you next year!

It was one of the best hotels we have ever stayed. Starting with super welcoming people and staff, you suddenly find yourself in a cosy, yet modern villa that feels like home. The rooms are just awesome, amazing view and not only the view of village and the Weligama bay, but you can also see jungle monkeys living their best life from your own room. Great pool side and super clean environment. Location is close to different beaches and the cute streets of Mirissa village. On top of the experience of the Nine Mirissa is the chef, Chandana, who makes you the most delicious meals - we had our best Sri Lankan meals there. They also help out with taxi and transfer, tours etc. Simply the most amazing stay!

The Nine was different to other hotels I've stayed in and I'm glad I got to experience it. The breakfast was my favourite time, it honestly felt like home walking into the common kitchen area and seeing the staff each morning, sitting out on the balcony having a beautiful breakfast watching the peacocks and monkeys.

I would have just loved a fridge in the room but other than that I had a great stay at this property.

Lage suboptimal, viel zu teuer für das Einkommensniveau und das, was geboten ist. Für 2 Nächte bald 500 Dollar und als Frühstück kriegst billiges Toastbrot serviert. Lage ist nicht der Hit, nebenan alles vermüllt. Wir sind derzeit im Radisson Collection und zahlen für diesen Luxus Tempel mit Suite und direkter Strandlage für 3 Nächte deutlich weniger.

The place is magical, the living room / dining space is spacious , feels like home 🌸 Chef is amazing , always wanted to serve perfect dish for us , warm and amazing person .

We booked this last minute and it was a really lovely retreat for us. We only stayed one night but it was very peaceful and we definitely could have stayed longer. Good location and easy to walk / tuk tuk everywhere. Lovely and helpful staff.

This place was amazing, the hotel itself is beautiful, but the staff are equally as great, they really go to big lengths to make sure your stay is as comfortable as it possibly can be, going over and above. From the moment you walk into the hotel, it feels like home. The view of the room was breathtaking, you get to wake up everyday to a beautiful view. The bathroom was spacious and so good. Chandana, the best chef in this world. He made us feel at home and made us the most delicilous breakfast and dinner everyday. The whole staff were super super friendly and welcoming. The pool is really nice and relaxing. 10 mins away from Secret beach which is a walking distance. We will definitely return again. We recommend it 100%. Special place to our hearts❤️

La struttura è molto ampia, moderna e ben curata, con un numero limitato di sole 6-7 camere. La piscina è particolarmente apprezzabile e l’area circostante è gradevole. Il Wi-Fi è veloce e funziona bene. Questa sistemazione può risultare ottimale per chi cerca un ambiente tranquillo e un’area piscina di qualità. Personale e Manager dell’Hotel sono estremamente cortesi.

La colazione è risultata piuttosto deludente, con una scelta limitata a qualche fetta di pane con marmellata, frutta e una frittata. La mancanza di privacy è evidente, poiché alcuni ospiti vengono fatti sedere allo stesso tavolo, senza la possibilità di un ambiente riservato, simile a un ostello. In camera è assente la televisione. Dalla posizione esterna si notano elementi poco piacevoli come un’antenna della luce, ecc. Si segnala inoltre l’assenza di un ristorante interno alla struttura, il che rappresenta un limite per alcuni ospiti. Considerando il prezzo richiesto, mi sarei aspettato di più.

Beautiful modern property in a great location close to 2 fantastic beaches and a few minutes walk to Secret Beach. We met James (and Lou) the owner and their friends who happened to be staying at the same time. We were welcomed to a ‘family feel’ environment and told to help ourselves to drinks and to join in on the daily on site yoga. The pool area was really relaxing and beautiful with the pool being the perfect temperature. We felt more like we were leaving a few days with friends than staying at accommodation. We were given great recommendations of places close by to dine (and there were plenty). The chef (sadly I have forgotten his name) was so lovely and helpful and engaging. We really enjoyed our chats with him and he was obviously also a talented chef. Breakfast was always lovely and the timing of it very flexible. We really enjoyed our 3 days here.

We had an amazing stay at The Nine Mirissa. By chance, the owners were spending a few nights here at the same time, and we ended up having a hilarious evening with them that really made the trip special. The chef’s food was fantastic, and the staff were friendly, helpful, and always smiling. The view is absolutely stunning, you look out over a sea of green palm trees all the way to the beach. The hotel’s design makes it feel both elegant and comfortable. A place we’d happily return to!

Hands down the best hotel in Sri Lanka. If you're looking for a relaxing, luxurious, and unforgettable stay in Sri Lanka, you MUST stay at The Nine Mirissa. It's a fabulous location with stunning views and the building, including the pool, is absolutely beautiful. The rooms are spacious and clean, the beds are very comfortable. The staff are incredibly friendly and attentive, the food (and drinks) are delicious. The atmosphere is super relaxed and homey. All of this within walking distance of the beach. We had a fantastic four days here, would give it 6 stars if I could. I highly recommend it.

Best hotel in Sri Lanka. Super clean and really, really beautiful. But the best is, without any doubt, the people who work there. They adapt everything to our choices. Special comment to the chef who cooked one of the best foods we tried in our trip. Rooms are big, the pool is amazing, wifi works perfectly and the whole atmosphere is super nice. We were absolutely blown away by this hotel! The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, they really took care of every guest. But what really impressed us was the food - it was outstanding! The property is inclined and has only 6 rooms .The manager Vasanth was very friendly ,suggested restaurants and he got us food for dinner and celebrated our anniversary with cake and wine.It was so special!Rooms are neat and the view is spectacular from sixth floor. There a lot of board games to play .Srilankan breakfast was really good .Wonderful stay!Just go for it!

The property does not have a lift for the rooms so old people might have difficulty in climbing upto 6 floors (max) depending where the room is. Also a full mirror and bathroom door would be nice for privacy in the room we stayed.Not sure if it’s the same for all rooms.

This property is spectacular! The room was spacious, the breakfast area has a great view and it’s located in a quiet part of Mirissa just a short walk to the beach. The staff are very attentive and helpful.

We had the best time at The Nine Mirissa! The hotel is absolutely stunning — super clean, modern, and really feels like a luxury getaway.
