I loved the facilities. Very quiet and relaxing place. It was very clean at all times. Valerio, the owner, is fantastic. He was very easy to work with, and he helped us with everything we needed. Also, his employees were very helpful. I loved our stay, and I will definitely be back again. Thank you very much, Valerio, for everything.

The pool needs it to be clean and repaint. I felt rushed by the housekeeping in the morning while I was still in booking grace. My c/o was at noon and housekeeping was rushing me quarter to 12p. I arrive late at night. I felt some sort of discount should have been given. or at least late check out.

The pool. There were no TV in the room. The were no towels in the room. I had to ask housekeeping for it. A lot of mosquitos outside.

STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE! We reserved our stay and we arrived, after 3 hours drive just to find out THERE WERE NO ONE THERE! We yelled, honked, called for more than an HOUR! and no one answered!! Ruined my trip!

Our stay at Hacienda Terra Taina was just great! The property is very beautiful and well maintained, full of exotic vegetation. The host was very friendly and the breakfast was also delicious! On top of that, the on-premises parking was a definite plus. We would definitely return!

It was secluded, quiet and relaxing. Beautiful and a very well kept properly. We love Valerio the owner, that went out of he's way to surprise me for my birthday with cake and balloons.

Good location, big bathroom. The maids are really nice. The administrator made or check-in really easy.

Breakfast could change a bit, after 3 days we were tired of eating the same. The rooms smell kind of moldy.

Highly recommend this boutique hotel. Clean, big room, safe parking space, great pool, amazing breakfast, comfortable bed, nice staff. A lot of natural turquoise beaches around.

The location of Hacienda Taina, is excellent, because you are not close to the town center and you do not have so much noise and people around, but at the same time you are close, if you have a vehicle in which to move. The breakfast is very simple, but very good, it is prepared at the moment by very kind and courteous people. They are the same ones that clean your room and attend to all your needs. Upon our arrival we were received by the owner of the hotel, a very kind and friendly man. He has very good recommendations to eat in terrenas.

The pillows were a bit low, but you can solve that by asking for extras, or bring your own pillow.

Tremendous experience. A hidden gem located in Las Terrenas. Not beachfront as described, but the location is also convenient, isolated from the confusion of the city, with easy access to all places. The hotel itself is beautiful, you can see the details in every corner. It was built with care, so that one can enjoy and rest. So much peace and tranquility. The room has plenty of space, with air-conditioning, ceiling fan, small refrigerator. Very clean as well as the bathroom. Hot water and amenities included. The outside area is gorgeous. A large front yard, a beautiful pool. A nice place to rest. The breakfast itself is a must. Fresh fruits, fresh juice, coffee or tea, eggs with ham and cheese, bread, butter… delicious. And the last but not the least. Don Henrique, the owner, is a gentleman. He was managing himself the guests and making sure everything is perfect. Thanks a lot Don Henrique for your hospitality and warm welcome.

Everything It is exceptional and amazingly beautiful. If not for Valerio, our vacation would not have been as enjoyable as it was. He is the best. Delicious breakfast and very friendly staff. I highly recommend it. You will definitely see us again.

We arrived at the hotel and noticed a lot of lizards all over the place. We were then checked in the room and we noticed a lot of bugs + lizards in the room and even in our pillow and bed. We told that we preferred to search for another accomodation because we were not comfortable sleeping with lizards or bugs. The only thing the owner said is 'that we needed to pay'. He obviously didn't care about anything else than his money. He demanded us to go fetch money from the ATM in town and bring it, which we did, although we also saw there was an option to pay with credit card. After that we left. Tldr: don't go there unless you like sleeping with bugs and lizards and if you want to be treated rudely. We also see that the owner is really agressively replying to every negative feedback , I wouldn't be surprised if he does the same now.

The breakfast was lovely and we looked forward to it everyday. It usually consisted of a selection of fresh fruit, fruit juice, coffee, eggs (optional ham & cheese added), tomatoes and avocado. Perfect way to start the day! The staff (shoutout to Valerio and the kitchen/housekeeping crew!) was incredibly helpful and kind. Valerio helped arrange our transport to and from the airport, coordinated our scooter rental and also recommended some fantastic restaurant options. The breakfast crew always greeted us with a smile in the mornings and prepared the most delicious scrambled eggs. The grounds were beautifully landscaped and the perfect place to read a book on a lazy, late afternoon. The location is away from the main strip and while walkable, I would recommend either renting transport or going via moto-taxi. We loved that we could retreat from the buzz of the main strip to a calm and relaxing home-base.

Can't complain about a thing!

The management, Valerio is an incredible host and person. He always goes the extra mile and is probably one of the most excellent hosts we have ever met, and just a really sweet, caring and kind person. He just makes you feel at home. Also the place is so beautiful and it’s extremely quiet which you for sure will need after being out and about in Las Terrenas. The breakfast is absolutely perfect, it’s so tasteful, fresh warm bread, fresh juice every day, egg, vegetables, and something to look forward to every single day. We would definitely stay here again if we ever come back to Las Terrenas.

We found one cockroach in the bathroom that we killed. Also in such a beautiful place we think there should be hand soap provided in the room.

This is a little oasis of calm, tucked away in its own tranquil grounds but just a short drive to the restaurants and beaches of lively, charming Las Terrenas - so the perfect location. The layout of the hacienda, set around a gem-like pool and within beautifully landscaped gardens, was simple and elegant with the rooms arranged around the pool area. Our room was clean and spacious, our host charming - and breakfast, served across the lawn in a little thatched dining room, was absolutely delicious. With only a handful of rooms and an adults-only booking policy, this felt really special.

Our room was on the shadier side so it was more difficult to dry towels and swimming costumes - but not a major issue.

The hacienda is just beautiful, located in a calm part of Las Terrenas (5 mins to the beach by car), nicely equipped and very well maintained. The absolute highlight, though, was the staff, everyone is smiling at you, breakfasts were delicious, and the host Valerio gave us many helpful tips for what to do (not only in the Samaná peninsula but also in other parts of the island) and even helped us organize a tour to the Los Haitises national park and Cayo Levantado. Grazie mille, Valerio!

Beautiful quiet place! Away from the city noise...

The breakfast was great, the quietness of the place, the room and hotel are just as seen in the pictures. The host is super attentive and helpful at all times.

New ownership to the hotel and they just start take reservation. Very kind and wish to help staff. Got an upgrade for the room (on house as a honeymoon goodwill gesture). Got a very good feeling that they where happy we there. We have been sorry to be there only for one night
