Checking in was easy, the property is at a lovely home. Owner will help you with your luggage when you check in as it’s up lots of stairs. Owner was really accomodating and friendly. Bed was comfortable and shower water pressure was great with hot water.

Could do with a spruce up, cracked walls. The wardrobe was dirty and there are quite a few ants around.

The host and his family was very kind, proactive and caring. Very clean, comfortable and with nice structure. I didn't use the kitchen supplies, but they had it all there if I wanted to cook. It's close to the centre, but far enough to be in silence and peace. Supermarket, laundry and restaurants just a few steps away. Great space in the room and bathroom. Amazing view too!

I wasn't aware of the steps at the entrance, but they make sure there is someone to help with your bags during check-in and out.

Хозяин принёс цветочки в честь нашего медового месяца, было очень приятно

1. Номер был на втором этаже, с видом на Убуд (но вид загораживала башня), красивый вид был из другого номера на втором этаже 2. Насекомые (но в целом мы ок) 3. Нет парковки, парковались возле супермаркета и иногда рядом с гостиницей (если было свободно место хозяина) 4. Нет бассейна

This place ticks all the boxes. The location was perfect if you want to be near town but also in a much more peaceful, beautiful part of Ubud with great eateries and walkways nearby. Our host Gungtra was very friendly and happily explained Balinese culture to us. The rooms are excellent. Very comfortable and clean. We had a little kitchenette and tea station which was a great touch. Highly recommend this place.

Room is clean and spacious. This is the first hotel that offers to waive the 3% when payment is done via credit card. Also great view of the town

The owner and family were so kind and helpful. There was a microwave, and sharp vegetable knife in the kitchen. Filtered water available so less plastic bottles being thrown away Quiet location.

The property was beautiful, clean and comfortable! Our host Gungtra was wonderful he went above and beyond to make sure our stay was great! A few stairs to walk up to get to the property but worth it for the beautiful view to wake up to each morning.

夜中の飛行機でバリに到着しましたが、事前にUbud Skyに格安でピックアップをお願いしておいたのでスムーズに移動できました。朝、目を覚ますと窓の外は素晴らしい風景で感動しました。 ここには２つの２階建ての宿泊棟があり、１つは門の脇、もう１つはそれより少しだけ奥まったところにあり、後者はキッチン付きのようです。 私たちの泊まった門の脇の建物は道路の近くなので日中はそれなりに騒音がありましたが、部屋からの風景（特に２階）や、伝統的で美しく清潔な庭は騒音という弱点を補うには充分すぎるほどです。 また、宿のご主人は控えめながらもこちらの要望にはすぐに、丁寧に応じてくれます。リクエストは遠慮せずにお願いしてみるとよいです。また、流暢な英語でバリの伝統的な家屋や家族のあり方について教えていただくこともでき、旅がより深いものになりました。 もしまたバリに行けるなら是非またここに泊まりたいです！ 衛生面・・・ルームクリーニングはリクエストに応じて行われるようで、私たちは毎日お願いしました。タオルの交換も別途リクエストに応じてなのかもしれません。トイレ、シャワーなども充分に清潔でした。 虫・・・一階の部屋では夜、床に小さい虫を何匹か見つけましたが、夜間の照明を暗めにすることで予防できそうです。バリの山間部の建物としては虫は少なすぎると言ってもいいくらいだと思います。 階段・・・宿の前の通りから階段をのぼります。宿のご主人はチェックイン、チェックアウトの時の荷物の運搬について毎回必ず手伝ってくれました。 朝食・・・最終日だけお願いしましたが、ご主人の奥様の美味しいパンケーキとフルーツでした。心が満たされます。 空港送迎・・・今回はご主人の身内のドライバーAgungさんが空港まで迎えに来てくれました。事前に連絡もくれていたので待ち合わせもスムーズで、英語で色々バリのことを教えてくれました。 近隣情報・・・歩いてすぐのところにスーパーがあり、2025年8月現在は一部改修工事中でしたが、食料品は大抵なんでも揃うと思います。レストランMuruni’s Warungも徒歩圏内、川沿いの居心地よく美味しいお店で、Nasi Campurは特におすすめです。また、The Omahneka Cooking Classも近く、ここで作ったバリ料理は家族全員のBest Food in Baliになりました。徒歩圏内に色々ありますが、ちょっと遠出するにも宿のすぐ前までGrabTaxiが来てくれるので移動が本当にラクです。 《注意事項》 ・ドライヤーあり ・シャンプー、ボディソープあり ・コンセントは冷蔵庫の上に２個か３個あり。洗面台にも。

前の通りの車の音は聞こえたので完全に静かな環境を望む方は少々気になるかもしれません。

Loud noisy squeeling kids, right next door, room was smaller than previous room we had and not as clean (lots of dust underneath the bed, hairs from previous occupants on the floor, that sort of thing). Breakfast is no longer included or provided for. Last year we loved it, this year it was just ok

This was a very beautiful place to stay. I felt incredibly comfortable here and the host was very polite, friendly and sincere. The room itself was very pleasant to stay in, tucked away from the busyness of Ubud. I felt at home here and was really able to relax after travelling around Bali.

Beautiful and peaceful place tucked away from the chaos of Ubud. So central but you wouldn’t know it! Great accommodating host who was on hand to provide us with extra tea and sugar as we needed. Also loved that they had dairy free creamer! Oh and there is a scooter rental place opposite the property although restaurants and coffee shops in walkable distance.

We stayed in early May for four days, and the owner, Gundra, was incredibly polite and welcoming. He arranged a late-night transfer from the airport and smooth late check-in. Our driver, Agung, was very pleasant and helped us with our luggage. We stayed in a room on the second floor with a balcony. The room was clean, well-maintained, and comfortable. The only thing I would mention is that the pillows were quite high, and it might take a bit of getting used to. Other than that, the room was perfect—clean shower, a fridge, and a lovely balcony setup with a table and chairs, perfect for relaxing in the evening. The hotel is located not far from the center of Ubud, about a 15–20 minute walk. The walk itself is manageable, but it’s along the edge of the road with quite a bit of traffic, so it may be more convenient to use a taxi or scooter. One important thing to note: to reach the hotel, you need to climb a rather steep staircase. If you’re traveling with large luggage, it can be challenging without assistance. Fortunately, the owner is always happy to help, but it’s worth considering when planning your stay. Overall, it’s a wonderful place, but what makes it truly special is the people who run it. Gundra’s kindness and hospitality were unforgettable. He even helped us book a late-night transfer and a ferry with such ease and warmth. Thank you so much, Gundra! We are deeply grateful for your help and hospitality. I definitely recommend Ubud Sky Hotel if you’re planning a stay in Ubud.

I really liked the wraparound balcony that gave me a view of the sunrises every morning. This was the best part of the stay. I would book the place for this feature, if I get the same room. Also the host was super helpful! I felt very welcomed and supported during my stay.

There was nothing I did not like. There were some temporary wifi issues, but the host fixed it quickly.

I love this place and will go back whenever possible - it's one of the best views in Ubud, and the room is lovely. If you want somewhere a tiny bit outside the centre but still only 15-20min walk away, it is a lovely getaway space. And the view is amazing - on a clear morning you can see 5 of the mountains and the sunrise, as well as the sea in the far, far distance... plus the local family running it are lovely!

There is a considerable flight of stairs to enter, but that's what gives it its great view on the ridge above town. The traffic on the road below is also quite loud, so if you want the silence of the rice-paddies it might not be for you. But I found it fine, and worth it to be able to see right across the top of Ubud!

The room with balcony had a beautiful view over tree tops. Clean, comfortable and beautiful bathroom and shower. Good breakfast.

Room is missing some basic stuff like Tissue paper, Coffee/tea sachet, Tea/coffee cups, TV, Umbrella, disposable slippers, locker, tooth brush etc. Traffic noise from the busy road just in front.

Lovely Balinese homestay; clean, lovely sunrise view from the balcony, breakfast was simple but thoughtfully prepared. Away from the main hustle and bustle of Ubud but close enough to be accessible as well. The host Gungtra was warm and friendlly without being intrusive. He responds readily to queries and tries his best to make his guests feel at home. He offers airport transfers as well as organises tours/day trips for guests. Entirely optional, never pushy and always sincere.

The host Gungtra is very friendly and helpful. He always answered the messages and was ready to carry our luggage at any time. The breakfast was lovely and on time. The room was clean and had no smell.

Our room was beautiful, we were able to see the sunrise every day. Absolutely stunning! The room was very clean and so was the bathroom, with spacious shower! Also the host is lovely, he even picked us up from the airport! I would highly recommend this place for couples or solo travellers because you would be super cared for!

Excellent location - close to the center but away from the chaos of central ubud. At the junction of 2 of the best areas of Ubud. Rooms with a nice view. Family run place. Excellent host - very kind, helpful and friendly all of them. Gungtra went out of his way to help me with a currency exchange issue I had Great value for money.

Note: it’s not a full fledged hotel. So don’t expect all the facilities. Breakfast was ok. Overall great bang for the buck.

Ubud Sky is a small hotel in the middle of Ubud. Nice view, spacious room and comfortable bed. Breakfast is fresh and delicious. Gungtra is very easy going and communication was good. If you are looking for a nice (budget) hotel on a good location, this is the place.

Our room was on the streetside so there was some noise in the morning. There are stairs (+- 50 steps) to climb, so not suitable for people who have issues with this. You can ask for help with your luggage. It's really doable.

Gungtra is so nice 👍🏻 He always tried to help us with prompt reaction. Air conditioner was working well and hot water was good for taking a shower after a long day. Breakfast was also included. Pretty good :) Thank you Gungtra for your kindness!

The locations is good. Close to many really good restaurants yet in a quiet neighborhood. Very cute homestay and convenient. Beautiful view and really nice host.

No facilities. Room needs renovation. Lots of stairs to climb up to the homestay, bit it wasn’t an issue for me.

I love the location. Easy to go everywhere, especially those famous yoga studios. Plus, it's near the main street so I didn't need to ride dark and steep mountain roads back to the hotel. Shut out to the owner-Gungtra. Very friendly and helpful!

If there is a TV, I could enjoy my night more with Netflix (personal habit). But it doesn't hurt my experience of staying here at all.

Beautiful location up the hill with an unexpected amazing view! The owners are lovely and very helpful. Even waited for me till 3am to arrive from a late flight! The room was very clean, spacious and with a big balcony. Really recommend when visiting Ubud!

Be aware that you need to climb some stairs to get to the property. The owners are very much willing to help with your luggage!

Ubud Sky is a 10 minute walk from downtown Ubud and just far enough to be away from the hustle & bustle. Situated above the road leading into town there are great views--especially if you are in the upper of the two rooms. Air Con, WiFi, and hot water all work very well and there's even a fridge for the excellent price. The room is spacious and the host is very kind and speaks excellent English if needed. What's not to like? I had a fantastic stay.

Staying at Ubud Sky was the perfect start of my holiday in Bali. Mr. Gungtra the owner has been very communicative from the moment I booked. He also provided a pick up service for a great rate from the Airport, so I did not have to to worry about finding my way. The location is wonderful. It is around a 15 to 20 minute walk from Ubud center. There are also plenty amenities near such as laundry, spa’s, supermarket, money exchange etc. The room itself was clean and spacious. The shower was very spacious and so pretty. The balcony is a huge plus and has a gorgeous view. I’m a huge pancake lover and was pleased to hear Mr. Gungtra had pancakes on the breakfast menu. So I have been eating pancakes every morning. He also brings the breakfast to the room so you can eat it on the balcony, while enjoying the view. Mr. Gungtra also provides tours and this was a huge plus so I did not have to find anybody else. He brought me to Heaven Swing, Jatiluwih Rice Terrace and Ulun Danu Temple. He was also very patient with making pictures and videos. Thank you so much Mr. Gungtra for everything, you are appreciated.

You get to catch a beautiful sunrise right from your room, and the breakfast is not just good but downright tasty! Plus, the owner is super friendly and always ready to lend a hand, making it a fantastic stay.

As in most places in Bali sound insulation is almost nonexistant so noises coming from street.

Very clean, super good location and super good service. The price to value is super high. Simple room, clean and tidy. Located atop of a few stairs, so you need to be able to walk them (with this I mean that there are no alternatives for disabled people as far as I could tell). The breakfast is also good and they provided us with gluten free alternatives for the flour so my girlfriend could have pancakes for breakfast. The breakfast is served at the terrace if your own room, very handy.

Very spacious room, high ceiling, sunny with a panoramic view of Ubud which was super nice! There are actually only 2 rooms so everything is very personalised. Mr. Gungtra and his wife are always here to help and they can tell you all about Bali culture, if you want to get to know more about Balinese life, it is the perfect place! You can definitely trust Mr Gungtra to organise transport and excursion for you at a very reasonable price (i got quoted 30% more at other guesthouses for transportation to the same area). Breakfast was fantastic as you eat it at your own patio and was set up very nicely.

As Ubud is now quite a busy village, do expect traffic noise that can be heard not just at the Guesthouse but also in most part of Ubud. It takes some uphill and upstairs walking to reach the guesthouse, so make sure no heavy suitcase.

The room is so spacious and light filled, the porch is wonderful to eat the breakfast on. There are only two rooms at this location upstairs and downstairs so very calm and private. We stayed downstairs and it was great but I'm sure the upstairs view surpassed ours. Next time we will book further ahead and reserve the upstairs! The family is great and their property is really lovely, you're right next to their temple yet in a private space. They provided us a jar of coffee and cups so we were able to have coffee anytime we liked with the hot pot! They make excellent scrambled eggs.

You walk a steep flight of 55 steps from the sidewalk to get to this wonderful place high above the streets below. It's a positive for the view and tranquility but for the elderly or handicapped it would be challenging and a bit risky.

It’s a 20 minute walk from central town in ubud with all the cafes and markets and a short bike ride to loads of sightseeing areas around. really private too but it’s up some steps so only accessible if you’re able to go up steps
