Reviewed Aug 10, 2026The small touches made this one of the loveliest places I have ever stayed. A fruit bowl, sherry for chilly winter evenings to a small sewing kit in the bathroom. Plus practical touches such as an airfryer and coffee plunger. Cosy and comfortable and highly recommend

Reviewed Jan 9, 2026Everything exceeded my expectations, I have stayed here before and from the first visit it has been my go to destination in Hilton for a home away from home stay, the host Margie is the most pleasant and welcoming host and very helpful at every turn if needed, I have stayed in many places around KZN due to work travel and from my years of travelling, this has been one of my best stays around KZN, highly recommended.

Reviewed Jan 7, 2026The cottage is absolutely beautiful , spotless and comfortable. It had everything one would need and more . Definitely home away from home . It was a last minute booking for my husband and I but we were not at all disappointed. The host was a gracious lady who even welcomed us at the entrance with an umbrella in the pouring rain ! Our only regret is that we wish we could have stayed longer 🙏🌹❤

Reviewed Nov 24, 2025We had a very dynamic day and we over ran our committed check in time, the host was more than accommodating and assist with a smile when we arrived, the layout and comfort was very superior. will recommend this stay to any 2 people.
The overall stay was great we are only sad that we could not spend longer at the Pied Cow as the area has so much to offer but commitments tripped us up

Reviewed Oct 6, 2025Margie met us on arrival and ran through initial essentials. Nothing was too much trouble. Gardens fantastic and Earnest who looked after them was always smiling and interactive with any questions. Margie full of the local knowledge and made us feel very welcome.

Reviewed Jun 23, 2025Everything is nice and tidy the place is really huge perfect for a family or couple they have readily available dog bowls. The host is friendly. They have an electric heater which is great and the location is exceptional. The room is really huge. They have 4 towels. You can cook everything you need is already there. A big plus is you have your own entrance and you can securely park your car in your own garage.
I wish they had a power generator so even if the power is off we can still connect to the wifi.

Sadly the power tripped .. and we were down for quite awhile! The bed needs to be replaced! Oven as well! Kitchen tap dripping all night.. small things that can be easily sorted!

The host went an extra mile and provided tea, coffee, fruit, yoghurt and delicious biscuits. Highly recommended and will definetely be back.

Reviewed Jun 14, 2024We were down in Hilton for the Comrades Marathon and Margie was so accommodating. We arrived unexpectedly late and Margie was there with a big smile on her face welcoming us. It was very cold in Hilton and she had put the electric blanket on for us and prepared a hot water bottle which was absolutely amazing!
