The accommodation itself exceeded our expectations - no effort was spared to ensure an enjoyable stay and we honestly did not need anything that wasn't already provided. Wish we could've stayed longer.

Reviewed Jul 29, 2025C'est une très belle maison, avec de grandes pièces, vue sur le jardin et le lac. Nous avons fait du feu dans la cheminée, grâce au bois qui était mis à disposition ! La belle table était mise avant notre arrivée. Les commerces sont vraiment à proximité en voiture.
Un moyen de chauffage en plus de la cheminée serait bienvenu en hiver.

The house was very dusty and dirty, we had to wash the cutlery before we could use it. Old dust on all surfaces. Mosquito larvae in showers.

Reviewed Mar 3, 2025Beautiful accommodation that was spacious, comfortable and clean. Kitchen had little extras such as sugar, coffee, tea, salt/pepper and dishwashing liquid. Ample plug points and a variety of 2-prong plugs to accommodate European plugs. A nice touch. Quiet area with views overlooking a dam and rolling green hills. Our hostess was friendly and attentive. Excellent security. Though our visit was for the purpose of meeting up with family again, Thatchwood Cottage helped us relax and feel like we were enjoying a break away as well.
That we had to leave so soon.
