Lilla-Bett Self Catering Mossel Bay

The house is cozy and nestled in a comfortable location. Accessible easily but still a hidden gem on a tranquil street. The host was very mindful of all traveller requirements and even some day to day food items very kept handy before our arrival. Thank you for being such an awesome host!!

Nous n’avons fait qu’une nuit Tout était très bien.

Le manque de chauffage. Mais c’est juste parce que c’est l’hiver et que nous sommes frileux. Mais les matelas avaient un chauffage intégré.

Le calme, l'équipement de l'hébergement, les lits chauffants, la taille des lits et des pièces. Les chaînes de TV spécialisées sans compte, les chiens.

Les lampes allumées à l'extérieur la nuit nous ont un peu gênés.

The host was very friendly, expected us and was on the property upon arrival and showed us to our room.

I found that the room lacked sufficient surfaces for personal items. It would have been very helpful to have a dedicated space for a hairdryer in the bedroom, as well as a vanity or shelf in the bathroom for makeup and toiletries.

Unit 4 was fully equipped for self catering, spacious and neat. It was private with outside and inside seating areas. The bed was large and comfortable. The surrounding garden is beautiful and tranquil and the location feels safe. Our stay was very pleasant.

The bed sheet was torn. The blinds in the bedroom let in too much light at night.

Man hat einen eingezäunten Parkplatz direkt bei der Unterkunft. Ansonsten ist man mit der Unterkunft voll und ganz bedient.

Quiet and relaxing .

I was not aware that the unit had stairs and that the bedroom was located on the top floor. While the bed was very comfortable and we did have a good night’s sleep, the layout was inconvenient. Having to shower and get dressed on the ground floor, opposite the lounge, made things difficult—especially when carrying bags upstairs. Additionally, I requested assistance with the TV but unfortunately did not receive much help. This was disappointing, as we ended up having to use our phones instead. Overall, the stay had some positives, but the lack of clear information and limited assistance impacted our experience.

Die Wohnung war recht groß und gut Ausgestattet. Die Betten waren bequem und groß. Insgesamt eine sehr gute Unterkunft.

Unfortunately, this is not the units fault, I have very bad knees and the bedroom was upstairs spit was a bit difficult to go up and down. But everything was very good.

Localização muito boa e instalações excelentes. Para a gente foi ótimo ficar por lá, as camas são muito boas e o apartamento é muito espaçoso e completo.

The property was very tired & run down & there was a lot of noise from next-door neighbours. But the biggest problem was that it took two attempts to gain access to the problem. The owner insisted on 15 minutes notice to be around to let us in, which is reasonable enough but then the wi-fi outside the property was so bad, we could not make any what's app calls. We stood outside the property on two separate occasions when windows of the property were open & dogs were running around the garden & made ourselves known on both occasions, to no avail. After failing to connect with WhatsApp, we were reluctant to ring because of mobile foreign call charges & texted instead, After exactly 15 mins, the owner's son came out to let us in when he was in the property all the time. He gave us a very cursory instruction on where the facilities are that didn't include how to lock up at night & couldn't wait to get away. The whole saga was completely unnecessary. For the sake of other guests, please either fix a door-bell or warn guests that WhatsApp connection is not good outside the property,

Beautiful property, spacious, safe and clean. Easy check in/out. Walking distance from town and St Blaize trail. Loved our staying here.

We had a delightful stay here for a night. I normally leave fairly detailed reviews but not a lot needs to be said here. Everything was pleasant and we had everything we could possibly need. Check in was a breeze, the owner was friendly, there were two cute dogs on the property and the unit was secure. There's secure, gated parking and bars on the accommodation. It's also two floors which was neat, as it was quite spacious with two bathrooms and all the cooking amenities you could need. There's a smart tv to watch your shows and the location is great, just up the hill from central Mossel Bay where there is some incredible (and cheap) fish and chips, some grocery stores and other things you might need. All in all, we had an excellent stay and I'd easily recommend it.

No steak knives. Freezer unit was not effective as there was to much ice build up. Maybe a roof fan for bedroom?

Lilla-Bett Guest House is a very comfortable, well-decorated and beautifully maintained place to stay. Everything was spotlessly clean, thoughtfully equipped and felt safe and secure, making it easy to relax and feel at home. A special bonus was the adorable miniature schnauzers, Lilla and Bruno, as well as the chickens, which added so much charm and character to the stay. A lovely place we would happily recommend and stay at again.

It is a beautiful old sandstone house, with wooden floors and a stunning garden.

The two dogs on the property barked non-stop! It was truly very hard trying to relax or sleep in at all.

Tout est fantastique ; l’accueil chaleureux, l’emplacement magnifique, le superbe jardin, très bien entretenu,frais avec des fleurs partout, la grande superficie de l’appartement (très grand pour 4 personnes). La décoration de l’appartement est très jolie, faite avec goût et recherche (comme une maison d’architecte..) Il y a des animaux sympathiques dans le jardin . Le rapport qualité / prix est excellent ; le meilleur que j’ai trouvé pendant mon voyage d’un mois en Afrique du Sud…On peut se reposer dans le jardin et admirer la vue (proche de la mer). Il y a des commerces à proximité. C’est pratique. Je note 10/10. Je recommande…

Simple but very nice loft! The bedroom is upstairs and super comfortable. There are two bathrooms, which is really convenient. The kitchen is well equipped, there is also a tv room, and the whole area is very nice.

The only thing is that the shower is downstairs, which can be a bit inconvenient since the upstairs bathroom only has a bathtub. I’d also suggest replacing the plastic shower door with a glass or acrylic one to make it look more modern and avoid water splashing out.

Eine tolle Unterkunft, die wir empfehlen können. Es war alles vorhanden, was wir brauchten und dazu in (sehr) gutem Zustand. Die Außenanlage ist auch sehr gepflegt und der Kontakt zum Vermieter war sehr freundlich.

Eldi was amazing, nothing was too much trouble. We arrived with a case of laundry, when we asked where we could get the laundry done, she promptly offered to do the laundry for us, free of charge.
